I always check with Furniture@work before I buy elsewhere, because they get it right and on the one occasion they got it wrong they made it right. they give good prices, their invoiceing is clear and they advise of delivery dates really well.
OK, comms were a bit of a problem and delivery not quick but the goods received were what we ordered.
I was very impressed with the speed of the order processing and delivery. I ordered an office chair mid morning and it was delivered in less than 24 hours. The chair is just as I expected and I would recommend Furniture at Work for the selection of products, the price and speed of delivery.
Furniture at Work are really good if you want a quick service with well packaged and top qulaity products. I made an order for a chair and a desk and had both within a week. Now it is all assembled my office is now a different zone, all plush, nice wooden desk for just over £100. You can't go wrong.
Ordering our item (a desk pedestal) was simple, and the friendly sales person was helpful.
The delivery man upacked and installed the item, which arrived in perfect condition.
Overall, an excellent customer experience
After several emails and calls furniture at work were only too happy to replace my broken chair, they are great to work with and fully understand how important it is to us to have furniture that is "long -lasting"
Overall we had very good service and quick delivery. One observation: I was the person placing the order and having done so I received an immediate confirmation of payment, which also said that I would shortly receive an order confirmation from Furniture@work. I never did receive this order confirmation - in fact I heard nothing at all from Furniture@work. The first indication that they had received and processed the order was when the first item arrived. I later discovered that the order confirmation was sent to the invoice address instead of the person who placed the order (myself). Apart from this hitch, everything else ran smoothly.
My initial contact with your firm was good and the young man I spoke to very able. The delivery was made on time and then came the frustration.
~~Why oh why did the fixing screws need to be already in place? Worse than that half of them felt like they had been superglued in place! ~What should have been a 15minute job - tops - turned into a 2 hour epic! When I spend this amount of money on anything (it would have been far worse if it had been full price) I don't expect to have to battle with it before use.
That said now that it is, finally, together it is a very good chair.
Ultimately - good beginning - dreadful middle - good ending
Will I use you again - still thinking about that.
Great company to deal with. Their communication is fantastic, however it is a shame that there are no stock level indicators on the website. Desks i ordered for Next Day delivery took a week to arrive due to them being out of stock.
The company, however, were fantastic in liaising with me when this happened.
My original order was incorrectly sized despite identify the correct cupboard in the catalogue with the sales agent, the resolution of this issue and arranging a replacement item took days, no-one rang me to tell when the replacement was arriving - it just turned up so it was pure chance I happened to be in, and the company who were to collect the wrong item turned up 45 minutes before the earliest time I was given so they could not collect as I was not there and now they need to come again!!
Altogether not an impressive performance!
Placing an order is a dream. They answer the phone immediately and the prices are great.
Problems arise when you want to speak to customer service. LONG times on hold and they don't call you back when they say they will. Very disappointing.
If your order goes off without a hitch it's a great service. If things go wrong it is completely frustrating.
Have bought several items from this Company and all fine. Arrived on time and as expected. However soured by most recent purchase of a chair which arrived with no fixings and have spent 7 days so far chasing for either fixings to be sent or replacement.
We have used Furniture @ Work several times before, there stuff is always good value and they have nice friendly staff if you need to contact them. I just ordered 3 chairs with wheels and they arrived the next day even though the website said 3 - 5 days I was well impressed.
The rapid response was second to none and the service just perfect! Thanks for much for delivering the drawer unit so swiftly.
Last year I used them to furnish our new offices and ended up buying folding chairs from Staples on our first morning.
Stupidly I used them again for 20 chairs at £39. Stating that I needed them delivered to our 3rd floor centre. No problem, they just dumped them outside.
I have just assembled the first chair to find that they are for children!
I now have to go through it all again to get them collected and find a reputable company.
Range and price are great but part of the order has not arrived. This is despite numerous phone calls and promised deliveries. The invoice had no problem getting here followed by a demand letter despite a telephone call but they are gathering dust until the items get here.
Having refused the initial delivery because incorrect furniture had been sent, it took the threat of court proceedings to finally get money back after 21 days. The refund was promised in 3 – 5 working days but never appeared; a litany of excuses. Denied access to a senior manager with number of unbelievable excuses, numerous phone calls on hold to 0844 numbers, emails unanswered and all promises broken. In meantime, exactly same furniture found elsewhere and cheaper! The true measure of a company is its performance when things go wrong!
We have just relocated our Primary School and we have bought a lot of furniture and accessories. The items are good quality and sturdy. Throughout the transactions the communication has been fantastic and delivery has been very quick.
Would definately use again and would highly recommend.
Good website and easy ordering but bad delivery service. I ordered 2 draftsman chairs and was told one was in stock and one would be delivered in 4 days.The 4 day one arrived as quoted but when i rang about the other one i was told it would be 3 weeks which had i been told at the point of ordering would of gone elsewhere. The first chair that arrived looked as if it had been assembled before and some small covers were missing.
