Not so good if the goods arrived damaged!

We have used Furniture @ Work twice. The first time all went well and delivery was efficient and the goods were value for money. Unfortunately, the second time we used them one of the chairs was broken when delivered. We telephone immediately to inform them and was told to repackage the chair and they would arrange for it to be picked and a replacement delivered. A week later, we were asked to take photographs of the damage - too late it was so well parcelled up for the return the box would have fallen apart! Now, they are 'still dealing with the outstanding issue'! So VERY POOR service if the goods received are damaged but who knows - you may be lucky!

Nice chair, nice people, but what a nightmare to put together!

The chair arrived quickly, in many parts ready to construct. Unfortunately neither the catalogue nor the instructions stated that you would need a large screwdriver as well as a diploma in DIY to put it together. There was an allen key provided for the arm fixings, but there were screws under the seat which needed to be removed before fixing the bracket underneath. The instructions said "unscrew all hardware from cushion before assembly" but should have said "remove screws from cushion before assembly". So after loosely fixing the arms on, I found that I would need to remove the screws, which proved to be too tight to move! I had already had to put off the assembly for a couple of days till I brought a screwdriver from home, so was not too pleased. I phoned Teknik (the chair makers) and they asked if I had an electric screwdriver (?!) to which I replied that it's not the sort of thing we have in a solicitors' office. They apologised and arranged to send another seat with the screws already removed, so we had to wait another 5 days including the weekend before the new seat arrived. They didn't even want the original seat back! The chair is now assembled and looks fine, but I am still shaking from the effort required to follow the instructions correctly!! It took around one and a half hours in total to get the chair useable.
It would be helpful if the catalogue gave information about what tools would be required and the fact that the chairs are not even partly built before delivery. I would not want to repeat the experience any time soon.

Worked out ok in the end

The ordering process was fine, staff friendly and helpful, receiving the items slightly different, specific delivery instructions seemed to be ignored, One driver was particularly rude, (but I can understand his grip's he had had a long day and wasn't passed the delivery instructions/directions that had been left when ordering) items didn't arrive when stated and some chairs were left at a unit round the corner and some taken to a post office branch both without any notice to Blaze, If it hadn't been for the maintenance man walking past as the delivery was being left at the unit round the corner I would never have known they where there, One desk was delivered damaged and another with faulty legs, Both rectified but getting hold of customer services was a struggle as was on hold for longer than the phone call took. However when I did get through again staff were friendly and helpful. All furniture now received and repaired so overall just a bit of a struggle.

Poor service and customer service

We ordered a desk and chair 22nd Oct for a new employee selecting from the 24 express range. The chair arrived the next day but no desk. Upon enquiring myself the day after I was informed the desk was unavailable. No one had contacted me to inform me this was the case. I was told during my call someone would call me back, no one did, but I received an email 2 days later responding to mine. I was offered an alternative with a 7 day delivery time, of no use to me. The order was cancelled on the 28th Oct, today is the 7th Nov and I have had to call to chase the refund. Cordial staff and good telephone manner aside the service has been worse than poor.

Not Our Usual Service

Had trouble with several items ordered over the last couple of months with missing items, damaged or late deliveries. Customer service helped out where they could but courier service used caused problems with one particular item. Will not let these troubles stop us from ordering again as this was the first time we've experienced any issues as we've always had great service in the past.

Customer service

Ordering is very efficient, even though the correct items do not always appear. When they do appear, some are damaged. Customer services is very poor. you ring and listen to music for at least 10mins, which means that there are a lot of complaints, or not enough staff to deal with these issues. When you eventually get someone, it takes forever to get a solution and managers etc will not contact you.

Easy to have items the wrong way round, not highlighted in instructions, then requires taking things apart to correct the problem. A bit more detail in instructions would be helpful rather than trying to rely on diagrams alone.

Dreadful service, dreadful company

I have been constantly chasing delivery of a bookcase (promised 2-3 days). No reply to many emails, and it takes forever to get through on the phone. When I did I got a sullen agent who didn't offer an apology and said I would receive an email with a delivery date. Naturally, no email has been received and neither has the bookcase. My rearranged office is a mess whilst waiting on the bookcase. I didn't even bother telling them that the desk ordered at the same time had arrived, but without assembly instructions. I managed to put it together, but I'm an engineer. Non-engineers may have struggled far more. Awful service and I will never use this company again, and I will tell anybody who asks to avoid at all costs.

Dreadful- no reponses to numerous emails and telephone calls about damaged product, missing instruction manual and how to rectify.

I have been very disappoibnted at the lack of contact back from your organisation and the poor qulaity of the product which I am very unhappy with and need to get back to you. Also you should let the courier contact directly about delivery times as it would be much more convenient.

FAILS TO DELIVER ON DELIVERY

Ordered home office furniture on basis of 1-2 week delivery and selected Furniture@Work as they are local. All that showed up was a chair !!!! Week 4 with no confirmed date for the balance of equipment has resulted in cancellation of the balance. No refund yet so preparing for a struggle. People I spoke to were pleasant, they just didn't listen or were powerless to react.

Good, but could be better...

I ordered a filing cabinet on a Wednesday - it was flagged as 24hr delivery, but didn't arrive until the following Monday, mid-day. No great problem, as I wasn't in a hurry for it; BUT when I rang Customer Service on the Monday morning I was put 'on hold' for far too long: I think the staff there need to be trained to answer a phone when it rings!
The courier who delivered it was very helpful, and the cabinet itself is good quality for the price. Ordering through the website was easy enough....just a pity about the Customer Service department: my patience ran out before I managed to get through to them!
