Wish I read these reviews before buying from them

By the time you read this it will sound like a familiar same old story after reading all the other bad reviews.
Ordered a sideboard. On opening the pack it was clearly damaged. Sent in the photos etc as per their required returns procedure.
I was given some options to resolve the problem, eg, a replacement via the manufacturer, a discount etc. I chose to replace it with a different sideboard.
They agreed but wanted to charge me an additional £50 for the delivery which I refused to pay. I was told someone would call me to resolve it. No one did. The staff will tell you any rubbish to get you off the phone.
I then called again to be in not so many words told to pay up or get lost. He refused to give his name or names of superiors saying I could get names from the website.....which I knew was rubbish when he said it.
I was sent 'customer friendly' emails which are obviously standard fob off emails they ping out to keep you calm for a while.
Very glad I did not part with more money for delivery as by the sound of the other reviews they probably would have failed to replace the item, or even given me a discount if that is what I had chosen.
The need to be put out of business
This trail of bad reviews does need to go to Trading Standards. Furniture in Fashion are not using independent review companies such as Revoo

fantastic product & fast delivery

After looking everywhere for a dining table and chairs came across furniture in fashion, customer service was ok, but the person I spoke to didn't know what day it was but overall product was good with some damage to the table, delivery was fast but delivery guys just left everything near doorstep although was told it would be taken to desired room.

WARNING DO NOT USE - Worst company I have ever used - WARNING DO NOT USE - Full of lies and false promises

I repeat WARNING - DO NOT BUY from this company.

They are very quick at taking your money but as soon as they have your money they do not care about anything else.

If you really have to buy, use a CREDIT CARD so that you are protected for any problems (which i guarantee you will have).

This company is run by complete imcompetent management and staff and trading standards should investigate and close this company down.

Constant false promises and lies.

Everything from delivery to product has been very bad.
I was promised a partial refund on my order and having rang the office over 10 times, they still have not insisted in giving me my refund.

No matter who you speak to, it seems like the staff cannot process anything without speaking to the boss director Mr. Asad.

Its really sad as I know this company has huge potential, buts its a shame its run the way it is.

Beautiful furniture and inspiring room layout ideas!

I bought two TV units, a display cabinet and a coffee table in the walnut and high gloss white effect.

I saw these on the site and they looked amazing and inspired me.

I liked the way the furniture was arranged in one of the pictures on the site and copied the colours as I'm new to interior design.

I can safely say this set up looks amazing

Massive Con................... DON'T DO IT...........................

Purchased 2 items From Furniture in Fashion (March 18th 2014) - Sienna TV stand with LED lights plus remote for light changing effects. Unit OK lights LED remote doesn't work hasn't been replaced or refunded.
2nd Item parts missing quality poor tried to return fobbed off with "pass your message on............... never arranged collection still haven't.!!!
Any suggestions please? I have contacted trading standards and logged with CAB. Contacted bank to try to get a refund on to my visa card.
Does anyone know Owner / Directors name? Staff won't disclose being constantly brushed off.
Left my daughter who had just given birth to come pack home for an alleged collection not turned up!!!! contacted company fobbed off again by Simon, Tom ETC anyone else want to get together and take this company to court??

Please don't part with your money

Ok this might take some time ,
Ordered some furniture in April 2013 from furniture in fashion tried to pay with debit card only to be told that we couldn't as our furniture was being delivered to Spain where we live , and they would need additional information so I scanned my passport and copies of bills to my address and sent it of to them , still not enough , they wanted a bank transfer ( I now know why ) ok so next day I did a bank transfer for. € 1800 then waited and waited contacted my bank they told me the transfer had gone that day and that the company had the money in around two days well after 10 days or so they said they had recieved it x at which point I decided to cancel my order as this whole process was now beginning to worry me filled out online form also contacted the sales team and asked them to make sure this order was stopped , but got an email around a week later saying furniture was to be dispatched to there courier the next day I once again called right away and told them the items had been cancelled and was told they would stop the items , two weeks later it arrives at my home in Spain I refused the items and wouldn't sign for them so the courier took them away , I called again furniture in fashion only to now be told I was being charge 299 quid for delivery and 300 quid cancelation fee unbelievable I have tried everything I can think of to get my money back but even the money they did promise me would be back in my account in November still has not been refunded x the calls I make to them are from Spain so each time it's costing me more money they have stolen my money I'm sorry but that's nearly a year now no goods no money there is no other word I can use except con big con I am now returning to the uk in a week to take legal action to have my money refunded this matter has made me unwell as I'm sure most of you would agree no one can afford to write of 1800 euros I have a family and we worked very hard to earn that money what gives furniture in fashion a right to keep it ?????? The one star is only because I could post my review without giving them one , trust me it would be minus stars if I could

RECEIVED DAMAGED ITEM - IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A REFUND - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was looking for a coffee table and found the perfect one on furniture in fashion. They delivered the table in good time and I was really excited when it arrived! My husband put the table together only to find a huge chip on the edge of the table. It was very noticeable so we took apart the table and put it back in it's box. The next day I went to ring furniture in fashion to organise for them to collect it and provide a full refund. I went onto their website and they don't have a telephone number for refunds - they only way you can organise a refund is to fill in an online form. I filled in the online form, submitted it, along with pictures and waited 10 days, still no response. I emailed their customer service but with no response. By this point I felt like they had sent us a faulty item and stolen money from us. After 14 days, I contacted the courier company and they organised to pick it up. I still hadn't heard back from furniture in fashion and the courier said they had nothing to do with refunds, just that they will take it back to their warehouse. I assume we will receive our 170 pound refund - however, I STILL haven't heard from them. This would be the worst online experience I have ever had and I do a lot of online shopping. They should just stick to their showroom in the UK and not sell furniture online. I hope I receive my refund, if not then I'm not sure what I can do as there is absolutely no way to contact them except filling out forms online. Yet they don't even get back to you - it is all automated responses.
I will not recommend furniture in fashion to anyone I know. Do not put yourself through the hassle. There are plenty of other furniture stores online who know how to run an online business and who know how to treat consumers properly.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! No stars!!

Please do not use this company AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
They delivered a damaged table back in August, with promises of delivering replacement parts at the time, many phone calls and email later at Christmas we was told it was no longer available and they would arrange a collection and refund, it is now the end of March and they are now trying to say that we have to return it ourselves, it is a joke of a company! What company has a customer service department that you cannot speak to !!! They cannot tell me the reason why I have to return it because the reason is they don not want to pay for the collection.

PLEASE STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!

Whatch out! by the time you read this review it is probably too late...

Let me tell you about my experience with this company.

They are indeed the most dubious company we have ever had the sorrow to come across. They are not smart about it to put things in context, just very very unreliable, rather like their products.

We bought a sideboard from them in January. It was as faulty as it gets. Basically un mountable... One side panel of the sideboard was white where as the actual piece was "contemporary walnut". Doors could not be fitted but one.
Any respectable company would have put things right in reasonable time. Unfortunately furniture in fashion does not belong to this group.

Their mistake was met with utter contempt which can only be put down to total inadequacy in terms of trade.

They will drive their costumers in a loop for month on end. When you get to speak to them (through the sales department of course).
You will be surprised to speak to the same member of staff, who told you they would come pick up the faulty piece of furniture the previous week. Only to hear they will now be sending a furniture specialist (for an Ikea style piece of furniture)... They will go as far as denying this but it will go on for months until you give up!

After having what can only be described as a pile of wood in our living room for a month and a half and in vain of getting any concrete reply from furniture in fashion, we disposed of their product in the only way possible. Brushing £300 in the process.

I decided to post this review on trustpilot to warn people against furniture in fashion's trading activities. Only to my disappointment as furniture in fashion seems to be incredibly keen on reporting my review amongst others in order to silence what is a legitimate complaint.

If only their efforts were placed in the right way I might have gotten my issue with them resolved. As a fact, furniture in fashion will report bad reviews rather than improve their costumer service (let alone products). This is blatant behaviour that could in terms only be described as a con. After all if they had quality products they would not bother with this....

Rather than improve just dust under the carpet. They now have reported my review for the 4th time and I will put it back up!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Their efforts are not made to provide you with quality products but to get more people buying and move on.

This company does not have any malicious intent don't get me wrong;) However it benefits from its deplorable lack of consciousness as the shortfall will always be on the costumer. That says it all!

Worst Retailer on the Planet

2 months and they still haven't sent my order. I keep filling in their forms (nobody actually works there it would seem - it's all robotics), but the robots keep ignoring them. Tried phoning, but that's robotically ignored, too.
If you want to die from extreme frustration, donate your hard-earned money to them.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID - this company needs a health warning!

I ordered two bedside cabinets on 26th January 2014 using the online service (which was smooth). The goods were delivered on the 28th January and I started assembly immediately. I assembled the first unit successfully but ran into issues with the second unit as the dowel ruptured the finish of the top panel (due to the hole being too small or the dowel being too long).
I raised a support ticket on the 29th January (a very long winded process involving lots of information and photos_ none of which I mind if the logging process is followed up with a professional service). The furnitureinfashion website says that support tickets will be processed within 24 hours.
Having not heard anything by 4th Feb, I located a telephone number to call and request a profess update. The phone number provides three options - sales, showroom and customer service. However, the customer service option is not manned by a human; it simply asks you to use the online support ticketing process. I rang again and selected the sales process. A young lady identified my support ticket, asked some questions regarding the fault and told me that she would get someone to call me back. She updated the support ticket and emailed me.
Having not heard anything by 11th Feb, I rang the sales number again and spoke with a salesman (name excluded). He identified my support ticket, asked some questions regarding the fault and told me that he would chase the customer service team. He updated the support ticket and emailed me.
On the 20th Feb, I received an email from info@furnitureinfashion.net firstly telling me that they had tried to call me and secondly asking me why I had assembled an item if it was damaged.
I was on holiday and was unable to respond until 23rd February. In my response, I queried the suggestion of a call, as I had no missed calls on any landline or mobile number. I also confirmed that it was pretty impossible to identify a fault when it was something so specific like the length of a dowel or the depth of a hole.
Having not heard anything by 3rd March, I rang the sales number again and spoke with the same salesman. He informed me that I should have emailed support@furnitureinfashion.net. I was starting to get increasingly frustrated as I really wanted to talk to somebody to get this sorted out. I had responded to the email address that had been used to email me - what was wrong with that! The standard response was 'I understand but I am not able to help - you should email the support mailbox'. I finally gave up and forwarded my response to the new mailbox.
Having not heard anything by 5th March, I rang the sales number again and spoke with the same salesman. He finally said that he would speak with his manager and give me some feedback in 24 hours.
Having not heard anything by 10th March, I rang the sales number again and spoke with the same salesman. He kept telling me that he had no authority over customer service, could not put me through to anyone in customer service and there was no-one in the company who had overall management of both sales and customer service - pray tell me what the MD does?!?! It really was starting to feel like I was in an episode of Little Britain. He finally said that he would try to escalate with the customer services department and promised to call me back within 24 hours.
Having not heard anything by the end of 11th MArch, I rang the sale number again and spoke with the same salesman. He seemed to have completely forgotten that he had agreed to call me and repeated everything that he had told me the previous day. I finally surrendered and told him that his company's policy of complete and utter disinterest towards an unhappy customer had worked and I was unable to progress this query any further without damage to my health.
THANK GOD, I had only spent £60 with this company, and please let them go out of business as soon as possible so that they are unable to screw over more members of the general public!

This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. If you have something on order, take my advice and cancel your credit card payment now. Customer Service and After sales service are non-existent. Likewise communication. Goods are cheap because they are substandard. Return process (even for FAULTY goods) is complicated and time-consuming. However, even when you follow their ridiculous process to the letter, they still ignore you. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. 1 star is way too generous for this company.

If you have any reason to deal with the "customer services" of this company then kiss your money good-bye :-(
Ordered a computer desk/stool on-line on 15th Dec and delivery was stated as "being in time for Xmas" (present for my daughters bedroom). Tried contacting FinF and their 3rd party delivery company several times with no response. Eventually got hold of the delivery company 1st week of Jan (!!) and arranged delivery the following week and it arrived and the packaging all looked fine.
However when I opened the computer desk packaging, 5 panels were damaged so I reported it and asked for an exchange/refund.
>5 weeks and many e-mails/phone calls later still no action from them. They keep telling me someone is investigating and will get back to me, but I have given up and have filed a claim against my credit card company under section 75.
BTW: you cannot get to talk or e-mail their "customer services" directly - always have to go through sales or general info and all they do is [allegedly] pass you message on...

WARNING DO NOT USE - taking them to court

The product bought could not be built the pieces did not reflect the instructions and they were dreadful in helping me. They keep telling me the product is not faulty when I have clearly demonstrated it is. They state the manufacturers says it was fine so it can't be faulty. They have an answer for everything.

They told me twice someone would call to help me from their warehouse and no one did.

When I then tried to return the goods they would not accept to refund the delivery charges. Their returns their service is a joke they use delay tactics by asking more and more questions about the return and not agreeing to it.

I can see from the reviews that this is a reoccurring problem.

I am taking them to court but no one needs this hassle in their lives…..just don't do it.





I cannot stress enough that you must not use them.

PLEAE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I got a faulty sideboard in November 2013 and they still haven't refunded the payment. It has been over 3 months. Customer service is a joke. They keep making up excuses and you can't even talk to them over the phone. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Update:
After 4 months they provided partial refund of £91.19. This is after making over 30 phone calls during that period. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Cannot be interested in repeat business when they act like this

Ordered an item and then changed my mind within hours. OK so my fault.
Emailed to email address on web site to cancel order but email got bounced as not being a valid address!!!! By time I realised this the item had been despatched. To send it back they wanted me to fill in form with photos of the product etc and agree a £10 handing charge (in addition to paying the return postage). Other emails bounced. The £10 charge is in the fine print when you look hard but not the FAQ's. Not given prominence it should have.
Even though I tried to cancel before despatch they still charged £10 - as they say in their T&C's they can charge this EVEN IF THE ITEM IS NOT DESPATCHED.
Will not deal with them again and will go to sites which really value the customer.

Appalling company

Furniture in Fashion is one of the most appalling companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

We ordered a dining table and chairs from them in July 2013 which had an inherent defect in the glass table-top. When we complained, they didn't reply at first but, eventually, after considerable chasing, agreed to provide a replacement. That was in August but, despite numerous chasing telephone calls and emails, prompting promises that it is on its way or with the courier, we are still waiting!

The people who answer the phone have always refused to put me through to their so-called ‘customer service’ department, or to speak to a manager, and the company rarely replies to emails.

Also, they try to prevent customer complaints by including restrictions on their website - such as saying complaints must be made within 3 days, and products must not have been assembled and still in original packaging - which I believe are unlawful.

I suggest you avoid this company.

I will never use this company again.

If you are lucky and the goods are what you want and they arrive, you'll like this company, BUT should there be anything wrong with the goods, say they are faulty, damaged, not what you thought you ordered, it is going to be an absolute nightmare to try and get the goods collected and your money back - I am still trying and haven't given up yet. My problem a dining table with a bent top, i.e. not your typical flat topped dining experience. So far I've filled in the forms, spoken to at least 3 people, written a few more times, and written to the CEO (no direct response, how telling).

I've also sent in the invoice to trust pilot so this review can be shown. It it totally accurate.

March 17th - Update - After many, many email conversations etc, an email has finally arrived saying I will get my refund within 3 days, given these issues all started in January (the order was middle of December) I will leave you to decide whether that is reasonable.

March 23rd, After being told to wait 3 days (on the 17th for money (the 20th date above was a generous error on my part)) I have today written to say still no money in my account, i've also emailed the boss now [sensitive data] just to see if that helps. Failing that I guess I have to revert to small claims, still I live in hope.

The "sensitive information" has been removed by Trust Pilot that is their decision, however it was only CEOs email address, this is public information should you wish to search for it on the internet.

My final comment: I note a number of reviews of this company have been questioned, I wish they put as much effort and due diligence into resolving the problems, then the bad reviews would cease to be posted.

Excellent service.

Will be our first place to look for any further furniture? Would recommend without any hesitation.
We bought a coffee table and a glass dining table with chairs. Installation was easy, thou the instructions were not very clear it was easy enough to assemble. The chairs were out of stock but we were kept informed of the order regularly, so over all quite happy with the service.
