I bought a TV cabinet from Furniture Point as the web-site promised fast delivery. My expectations were that I would receive the cabinet within a week. I ordered on the 11th February and received it on 29th February, which is a reasonable delivery time, but not what I would call "Fast Delivery". I guess the web-site should set people's expectations and then they would have happier customers. The cabinet is of reasonable quality and in my opinion, good value for money.
I did call/email twice to find out when I might receive the goods. I received a phone call advising me when the goods would arrive. The delivery men also phoned giving me an hour's notice of delivery.
I only wish I had done some research on this company before buying from them... Reading other customers similar experiences I can only tell people, do not trust this company!!! They will be quite happy to take your order off you but do not expect much after that! We have been waiting so many weeks for our furniture and we keep hearing excuses about the suppliers and this and that.. I then tried to cancel my order as I was fed up of waiting and now I am told I have to wait another 4 weeks for a refund!! That is after I eventually got through to their customer services department!! I urge everyone to avoid this site at all costs.

I purchased an oak desk which was very affordable and very good quality. It came as 2 pieces to put together but is as far from flatpack as you can imagine. The delivery arrived exactly when promised which makes a big difference when ordering on line. I would use again.
They were supposed to deliver in the afternoon but rang just after 9am and said they would be with me within the hour which meant I could then go out for the rest of the day. The furniture was brought into the room where I wanted it so I just had to unpack. Would definately buy from here again.
The two guys who delivery the items were very careful while carrying it upstairs, and even made sure the item were facing the correct way
They called to make sure we know they were running late due to a accident on the moterway.
A good firm to use, and have now order some more items from them.

I've read some bad reviews recently and thought I'd include my experience. So I gave them a call prior to ordering. They confirm the item I was after in stock.
I ordered the furniture from their website last week, within three days I received a telephone to confirm the delivery date. Yesterday the furniture arrived. All staff I spoke to were friendly, even the delivery men!
Great service, would recommend.
BTW I don't work for Furniture Point, or have any affiliation. I will definitely use them again.
Having ordered some pieces of furniture just over two weeks ago, after very helpful service from Tim I waited just over a week for my dispatch email. I then looked up some reviews of the company- cue total freak out! I was on to them by email and phone every day until I finally received my goods today. Could they have been more specific about dates / dispatch? Yes. But they did deliver what they said they would within a reasonable delivery time. The furniture itself is lovely and I'm really pleased with it. I can't comment on anyone else' s experience and am not sure how I'd feel about ordering fom them again; however, that's probably more due to reading other people's reviews.
I think Furniture Point must have found this site and wrote a few positive reviews for themselves!! If you take a look at the reviews below they all seem to be submitted in a short space of time.. Anyway, I have never before been so disgusted with any company. They are so unbelievably bad it is laughable. When I call the customer services line there is never any answer, I called the sales line and what a shock, I got through straight away! Sums the company up, happy to take your money, can't be bothered with the service part of things. I have gone to my credit card company to get the order cancelled as I don't think waiting 16 weeks for furniture is fair when the lead times still state on the website 3-5 days. Awful awful awful. Do not buy from Furniture Point.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
The furniture was delivered 6 working days after order by a very friendly delivery team, who phoned me 30 minutes before arrival.
The price of the furniture was EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE!! and was very well packaged.

We have ordered a substantial amount of furniture from Furniture Point online. We ordered in December and were told that all items were in stock except a bookcase which needed ordering and would be about 2 weeks. It is now the 7th February and we still have not received one item, or any correspondence about when to expect our delivery.
Each time we have spoken with customer services they have told us different things re the order - "the bookcase hasn't arrived yet", "the chairs are still on order" - "the bookcase and the chairs are on the same container but we can only estimate when it might arrive"
I have just spoken with customer services yet again and been told that they are estimating the arrival of our furniture in 2 weeks (they also said this 2 weeks ago) but that there is no guarantee.
I have requested e-mail correspondence from them outlining the issues they are facing and why they have taken our money without delivering on their promises.
I am hopeful that we will at least see some furniture at some point having read these reviews, however I would strongly recommend AVOIDING this company. The money you save is not worth the hassle you will go through trying to get them to fulfil their promise.
Thank goodness we used our credit cards for the purchase so we are at least insured and can claim back our payment if they continue to withold our items.
IF YOU INSIST ON USING THEM, DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY IN CASH FOR ANY PURCHASES - YOU MAY NEVER SEE YOUR FURNITURE OR YOUR MONEY AGAIN!!!

Took the money straight away. Told 2 weeks delivery for dining table and chairs. Sold my existing ones and guess what, they didn't arrive. At one point told they were there just need quality checking, but still didnt arive. Emails and calls not answered over the next two weeks, then finally get through to sales manager. Table was there and told another 2weeks for the chairs to arrive in stock, so I suggested they send the table and some loan chairs so we could actually eat at a table, and then they should think of a gesture of goodwill as it it would be 7weeks by that time. They sent table and 6odd chairs :(
After 7 weeks still no chairs. Again emails and phone messages not replied to. At 11weeks I had had enough and cancelled order.
Shortly after that Tim rings to say we have your chairs, doesn't apologise, doesn't off any gesture of goodwill argues i cant cancel the order and resorts to trying to bully me into changing my mind. Doesn't work.
Then had to contact Credit Card company to raise a dispute to get a refund as they were unwilling to give a refund or negotiate a settlement.
New guy (Ken? sounded a nice chap) comes in about 3 weeks later and says he wants to put things right after management clearout, I tell him the story he goes back to his Director Miles Fawcett, who offers nothing except, i can have my chairs now if i want - ~15weeks late. No gesture of goodwill for breaking the contract, nor for the inconvenience of 3weeks without a dining suite, or having to suffice with mis-match of chairs.
Would have been a good buy and a recommenation if they had done what they said they were going to do when they made the the sale, and possible even after that if they had been proactive in talking to me about issues and possibilities, but customer care was/is non-existant.
I strongly recommend you go elsewhere!.
After an initial issue regarding delivery (delivery promised between a certain time but didn't show!) and following a few phone calls, Furniture Point promised to make up for the inconvenience caused and they did. I spoke to Ken who was friendly and helpful. He promised that after the initial problem he would make up for it and deliver at a time convenient for us - he kept his word and arranged a Saturday delivery for us and Ken was the delivery man. Arrived nice and early (8am!) and were polite and friendly.
Also we ordered on a Sunday night and the first delivery was scheduled for the Tuesday (ok they didn't show on time but if they had a 2 day lead time is impressive!). Actual delivery took place the Saturday after which is still less than a week from ordering.
If they do mess up regarding delivery give them a chance to put it right and if you speak to Ken I'm sure he will do everything he can to help.
No faults with quality of furniture either.
After having a look at a number of websites I found Furniture Point to be the best value, I had to call to ask about the sideboard i had looked at and spoke to Tim. He was wonderful and really put my mind at ease - so much so that I ordered straight away. He also gave me a discount because I wanted to order 3 items.
We now have our furniture and couldnt be happy with the high quality and even though 1 item was out of stock when i ordered, they still got it to us as soon as they possibly could. We can't thank them enough and my lounge looks great!
Ordered 3 items of Cambridge bedroom furniture and delivery arrived 48 hours later. The delivery lads carried everything upstairs for us, including the heavy 3-door wardrobe components. Many thanks. For the price, the quality of this furniture is outstanding. We would certainly buy from this company again.
Paid for my furniture 3 months ago, 2 items still not been exchanged, missing parts, poor aftersales care and ignorant customer service. the furniture comes from China on the water, and when arrives its damaged. Still no replacements or missing parts- Complete waste of my time and money.
I got everything that was promised and paid for. The quality of the sideboard is fantastic and looks completely as it did online - no nasty surprises. Delivery was quick and two man as expected in the terms and they were very obliging and helpful.Thank you guys!
orderd oak console table and narrow book case from furniture point to match my oak ding table, the match is good considering they had'nt been seen. two man delivery was earlier than expected on the day with apologies for being early that has to be a first. packing really good. very pleased with my items, lovely comments from family of how good they look. and good prices. thanks again to the team.
I have been thrilled with the quality of furniture that has been delivered. I was a little worried with what the quality would be like, seeing as they have the cheapest prices around for the furniture.
The bedroom suite arrived within the estimated delivery time and I have yet to find a blemish on any of my items.
Never again will I buy anything from this sham of a company. It would take me days to write up the full account of what happened with our order and hopefully [names removed] and the elusive MD will start reading these reviews and finally do something about their poor service.
In a nutshell, we first ordered on July 29th after visiting the showroom and being impressed with [name removed] and the furniture. Many calls to them and failed delivery promises later, we finally had some of our furniture, despite being told it was about 3 weeks delivery.
At one point, the delivery men arrived to collect some non-existent mysterious furniture we had to be retunred to Furniture Point!
Failed promise after failed promise followed, followed by docking dates for the ship our furniture was on from China. At no point could I get a ship name, carrier name or consignment number from FP. To date we didn't receive the final pieces of furniture and instead have had to issue a chargeback on our credit card. The evidence presented to the CC company gave FP no chance of disputing the chargeback.
We eventually found the main importer of [link removed] who were extremely helpful and got our furniture within days. In our opinion, FP order the furniture from China once they have your payment in their bank. Add the 6 weeks or so a boat takes to sail from China to the UK and there are your delivery delays. I just wish we'd found the other company sooner, we'd have suffered so much less stress and wouldn't have a phone bill from all our calls to them.
Final Say: If you want to keep your sanity, do not, under any circumstances, use this company. You WILL regret it!

We ordered a Lyon Oak Sideboard after being let down by another company that went into Receivership. We ordered by phone and were informed that the item was in stock and could be delivered in a couple of days. We were nervous after spotting the bad reviews after purchasing. However i can honestly say that the service was faultless. The delivery was booked in a couple of days later and the delivery was by two men. Whether we were lucky or not who knows??? but i will certainly give them another chance!
Ordered from furniturepoint.co.uk many months ago, promised delivery in 3 weeks but many weeks/months later still no delivery. Similar story to all the above, lots of broken promises/deadlines. Company will not stand by its own terms and conditions on its web site. Good luck getting any refund. Try your credit card company. Nice flash website, doesn't live up to any of its commitments particularly in terms of customer care.

We bought 4 items from furniture point on Wed 2 Nov after visiting their showroom. We were phoned on Sunday 6 Nov to ask if we could take delivery next day. They were delivered by a 2 man team on Monday at about the time specified. Delivery men were friendly and helpful. The furniture looks good and we will definitely shop there again. I didn't read the many bad reviews until after we had bought our items - I was a bit worried but our experience was good.

I purchased some bedroom furniture 1.5k worth the delivery time was 5-15 days on the website. After two weeks I decided to contact Furniture Point as I hadn’t received any communication regarding delivery. I was told by their customer services department that my order had been with their 3rd party carriers for over 10 days and that they couldn’t understand why my order hadn’t been delivered but they would get in contact with them right away to arrange my delivery.
Having read some negative reviews on the web regarding delivery I decided to call back and obtain the carriers number to try myself. I tried all day to contact the carrier buy nobody would answer the phone!!! At this stage I was very anxious and thought that I would never receive my order!!!
To my surprise I was called by Mark at 7:30 in that evening who apologised for contacting me so late but the company had been receiving a great deal of complaints about their carriers and that he had to lay on his own vehicles to take control of deliveries outstanding and could I accept delivery tomorrow between 11am-2pm?
The delivery drivers called me on my mobile when they were on their way, once they arrived the two chaps were friendly and polite, these guys actually did wear the shoe protectors when they entered my property. They took the 5 pieces of Furniture upstairs for me but explained that they didn’t unbox any of the items I singed the delivery form and 30 minutes later they were on their way.
I’m very pleased with the overall quality of the furniture and glad that I kept my order with them!
If it wasn't for the fact I'm desperate to take delivery of my goods I would cancel the order with this company.
1.5 months ago I ordered in excess of £2k worth of goods. I was told they were in stock and I could take delivery whenever I wanted to.
I called 3 weeks later having sold our old furniture via Ebay. I was then told they weren't in stock and were not due in until another 2 weeks time.
I then called 3 times last week and was told that the goods were on a container but it couldn't be unloaded from the vessel due to high winds but they would be taken into the warehouse yesterday and I was guaranteed to have by the end of the week.
I spoke to the sales manager today having become so unhappy with the information supplied and his story is that the goods docked yesterday and they can't guarantee when I'm getting them. He questioned whether I was ever told about the goods being in stock and implied I'd made it up.
Not good customer services in any way, shape or form! I'm disgusted by the attitudes of the people I have spoken to and the quality of the information given.
I would NOT recommend using this company!

We Purchased a Cambridge TV unit in September this year. We were a little nervous as we had never heard of this company before and they were much cheaper than any of their competitors. We purchased via the website on a Sunday evening and received a call from their carriers Monday afternoon to ask if we would be able to receive delivery Tuesday. The Quality was excellent and much to our satisfaction, we will would certainly buy again!
We purchased nearly £2000 of oak bedroom furniture from Furniture Point in June this year. After visiting many showrooms and websites Furniture Point’s price was the best, just. However :-
- Despite their comments on their website clearly stating that delivery would be made by a two man team they tried to deliver the furniture with one man only.
- Despite waiting in all day the first delivery did not arrive as they claimed the road had been blocked by a workman’s van. It obviously did not occur to the driver to ask the workman to move the van. In any event as there was only one man he would not have been able to lift the furniture upstairs anyway.
- The second re-scheduled delivery meant we had to stay in all day again. Again only one man turned up so he was turned away. Some of the pieces were 75 kgs plus!
- The third re-scheduled delivery meant my wife had to stay in all day again. This time a van with two men. They asked my wife if she could open the garage door for them to leave the furniture in there. Furniture Point’s website clearly states furniture will be carried to room of choice. After a brief conversation the two men begrudgingly lifted the furniture upstairs. The three door wardrobe however they left downstairs!
- Two cartons were badly damaged, dirty and even had leaves inside. There were dirty marks all over the brand new carpet from these cartons.
- As we were going on holiday that evening we sent a quick email to Furniture Point advising them of the external damage and possible internal damage. Furniture Point subsequently claimed we had not advised them. That is until we copied the original email to them.
- When we returned from holiday we checked all items. The two damaged cartons containing the bed were falling apart and there were signs of damage to the contents. The mirror had a manufacturing fault and we had a Dining Room Sideboard that we had not ordered. Another disappointed client no doubt.
- After many phone calls and emails Furniture Point arranged a fourth delivery to collect the damaged bed and mirror and extra side board and deliver replacements.
- Despite several written and verbal instructions to call us 30 minutes before they arrived to ensure we were at home no call was made and my wife arrived home to find a calling card on the mat to say they had been! A few phone calls later and a fifth delivery attempt we finally had the furniture in the bedroom.
- The damaged and extra pieces were thrown into the van so no doubt received further damage on the way back to Furniture Point.
- Emails and phone calls to the Managing Director at Furniture Point to try and discuss this disaster and compensation have not been returned.
- Not even a thank you for telling them about the extra sideboard they delivered.
The furniture we have no issue with. It is good quality and well made however taking all the above into account, 5 deliveries, damaged goods, dirty carpet, begrudging delivery men, many, many ‘phone calls Furniture Point are probably the most expensive furniture outlet in the UK.
I leave you with their delivery promise which appears not once but twice on their website -
- “we will deliver your order using our premium 2 man service. Our team will take your item(s) to a room of your choice (subject to access) and wear white gloves and shoe covers for safety & cleanliness.” White gloves? Shoe Covers? Two men? Cleanliness? No, no, no and no.
- “Our uniformed delivery team will always wear white gloves and over shoes to ensure your home is fully protected.” Uniformed? Fully protected? No and no.
