Rather buy in-store

I had put a game in my basket and went to the checkout only to realise that the game had been removed, tried to put the game back in my basket only for Game to tell me it was out of stock, this should have been noted before i tried to put it in my basket there was nothing to say out of stock, then had bought a game only for them to refund me cause ey never had it in stock, neither did they give me a reason for the refund i was confused,

Game

It's simple. You want games, you go to Game. I buy and trade all my stuff at the Bullring based store. Good customer service. Could do with a few more tills for them busy periods, but other than, I recommend. Shout out to Scott. He should be the mould for Game customer service.

a good place to go into

They are a good gaming store. Brand new or second hand they normally have it. the staff are normally helpfull and if you keep an eye out they normally have a special that may suit you.

An OK company

GAME.co.uk is just OK. Speedy free delivery on their many products. they offer reward points on purchases which are nice. The company also tends to have exclusive offers such as the special 'Epic' edition of gears of war 3.
Their negatives are:
1) their lack of customer service (in my case anyway). I messaged them twice about minor things and they didnt respond. This is rather worrying - what if i ever have a real problem?
2) their prices are normally quite uncompetitive. You just can't charge £40 for a game that has been out for over a year!
3) many items such as older games and action figures are out of stock all the time.

Can have some great deals on, my Kids love going in here they pick up some good games in the sales.

Not good at all!

My first time using Game.co.uk and my last!
Ordered a game for download at 11.30 am, still waiting for activation email, it's 18.00 now on a Friday so won't know anything until Monday. So six and a half hours of waiting and 4-5 phone calls (1 time being hung up on before even speaking), To say I'm not a happy bunny would be an understatement. Wouldn't recommend them.

Big package, Little price

Bought my son an Xbox package for Christmas, arrived within a couple of days, my son was really chuffed with his gift, and i was really pleased with the price of the package.
Check them out first for deals as i shopped around and found no one cheaper.

missing item not refunded

An item from the four I ordered was not sent and the package only contained a hand written note stating that the item was out of stock (It was listed as in stock when I ordered).
I was still charged for this item and although customer care promised a refund, after 40 days I still have not been refunded.

Dreadfull Service

Ordered game via online site, 1st order they sent out without door number telephoned and was told another would be sent F.O.C. after waiting 3 days and still nothing I telephoned again. By the time I actually got to speak to someone I had spent about £3.00 as the calls cost .10p a minute to ring them. Person I spoke to confirmed that F.O.C replacement agreed now (they waited 3 days before getting the ok and if I had not telephoned how long then) anyway its now after Christmas and still no sign of game (Forza 4) and had to go to a store and buy another copy at £10.00 more.Game could not organise a party at a Brewery such is their dreadful service. Never again for me!

Used products

A quick simple review of Game, DON'T buy pre-owned items from this company as they DO NOT check if they work correctly and give you a terrible refund. I would definitely buy from this company but just not from the pre-owned selection.

Always have the new releases

They are always up to date with the products they have and are very reasonably priced. The customer services are also very good

I've emailed them 3 times regarding a return and had no reply. I phoned them on a premuim number and was on hold for 18 minutes before I gave up. I am now trying to phone them again and have been on hold for 24 minutes and still waiting. Theres nothing I hate more in this life than waiting in a queue just because the tight gits wont spend out on a couple more staff, becuase it will eat into there profits, so the customer has to pay. 26 minutes now..still waiting.. ANSWER THE PHONE...Im now gonna buy all my christmas presents from Zavvi.

Excellent Company

I buy all my games from Game. They might have slightly higher prices, but the points you can gain on your Reward Card pretty much compensate for this.
The service itself is excellent. Most of the time you will receive your orders a few days after ordering, and with pre-orders, you can expect to receive the game a few days earlier than others.
I have found that a few people complain about bad delivery, but I have yet to experience any bad delivery from Game.
Overall, a great company. The only downside is that you need to pay £3 in order to receive a Reward Card and start collecting Reward Points.

I live in cyprus and I will tell you my story about this company.
I decided to put a pre order for 3 gears of war limited edition games 4 months before the official release. The sum was near 170 pounds.
2 days before the release i got an email saying that some customers might get their orders cancelled and that the customers should put the order again.
When i tried to do that i couldnt find the exact game again only variations, the normal game or the epic edition but not the limited.
I didnt want to order again because of that but i decided to order an epic edition gears of war just as a second chance.
I did that, the release date was at the 10th of semptember, and i am still waiting for it to arrive 20 days later. I only received a strange letter from them, it was a receipt/advice note like an invoice saying in small letters somewhere that the items would follow on a separate advice note. What does this means?? I've never seen anything like that in the past and i've made lots of online orders.
So conclusion:
Game is by far the worst company i've ever seen for these reasons.
1. I believe at a 4 month pre-order you make everything to satisfy your customer because he/she trusted YOU
2. They are not 'business aware' i mean the sum was quite large for an individual to buy a product 3-4 times means its either a small shop or someone with some friends and its a group order. so 3-4 people now share the same opinion.
3. They never answered me one email. I've sent them 2 when they canceled my pre-order, one when i ordered just to be sure and 3-4 when i got the curious letter/advice note i still dont know how to call it.
Keep away people, dont get fooled about low prices or stock availability, better take your money, go to your bank, open a new account and put it there and in 1-2 months go and withdraw it. Its the same thing

What is going on?

My son ordered a Wii 10 days ago to arrive in time for his birthday at the weekend. It said it would be delivered by Express Delivery, which should take one or two days. It is now 10 days later and despite two emails asking what is happening nothing has been delivered, or even attempted. There has been no response to our emails, and I hung on the telephone for 15 minutes before getting fed up with the phone not being answered and hung up. Thankfully we paid by credit card so we will get our money back. But are they about to go into liquidation? What is happening?

Average Prices, No Customer Service, Slow Delivery

Since the relaunch of the website everything seems to have gone downhill. Games always used to arrive on time and issues were sorted out quickly. Unfortunately it's now the opposite.

Pre-orders are not arriving until after launch, and sometimes days or even weeks later. Customer Services are uncontactable and do not reply to emails.

Ii might work better in store but don't bother ordering anything online

I pre-ordered Space Marine, 2 weeks before release. The release date was the 09/09, and it is expected, like all internet games companies, to have the game delivered on the date of release. it is 5 days from the release, and I have not received anything, I have had no apologies, and no evidence to show that they have any care about me as a customer.
This is not what I would expect from a large company such as Game, and if this is their standards, then i think taking any orders to their site or their store needs serious consideration.

1st rate service

Although not the cheapest, Game always delivers on customer service. Every pre-order i've made has always come a day PRIOR to the games release date.
Excellent loyalty incentive scheme with reward points which very quickly adds up to significant money off savings.

Good Collection Of Game Series

I have recently found some of my favorite game in very cheap price and also very easy payment processing system. All the latest game are soon available on game.co.uk. but one thing i want that the site must provide the System requirement for the PC game. I have to review other site for system requirement before buy.

System Update = Game close all communication and don't deliver

I have placed 2 orders but after contacting them at 08:30 the following day to find out what is going on and why my payment was not taken a helpful lady put me through to the online order customer service team telephone number. I was met with a automated answer machine telling me that their systems have been updated and due to a large volume of calls they are only accepting enquiries via the website. I called again and explained i'd done that and not got a response for a previous order for 5 days so would like to talk with someone. I was put on hold and then upon return the lady told me that she had spoken to a senior member of staff and they only start work at 9:00. You don't get any worse than that, I thought. I told them to contact me instead. I received a call 4 hours later to be told everything is in order and my order should be processed today, if not contact us tomorrow. It's now a day after and my order has not been processed. I call and they are now closed, I now try again via the online enquiry to be told that their system has a generic fault so I cannot send my enquiry. This is utter rubbish, they have closed all forms of communication and as a customer left in dark and without the purchased I need.
Total waste of time and space. I spend good money with Game but that's all about to change.....

Not bad, Expensive!

The only time i purchase from Game is when they have offers or promotions on (Not very Often), if they had more promo codes and online discounts many more people would shop there, but they are to arrogant to match prices with other online retailers.

I find they are generally too expensive compared with other online retailers, more often than not they charge more for pre-owned games than for a new copy of the same game?

Like any big company, its all about how much they can milk out of the consumer and unfortunately many consumers don't use their brains and simple buy from Game because of the Brand Name, rather than shopping around.

I find the company far to corporate and greedy!

The only saving grace was that i always got my games on time or usually the day before, unfortunately this was not the case recently when my game didn't come at all and i found Game customer service most unhelpful.

Staff at Game stores are always knowledgeable

Its a pleasure taking my son to a Game store as the customer service is always excellent. There is nothing the staff do not know about upcoming games etc and the gaming equipment.

I managed to save £53 when I bought my two hard copies of games. Although I wouldn't get the download copies as they are too expensive.
