Obviously in dire financial trouble again.

I pre ordered Xbox One in October for Pre Christmas delivery for my 10 year old son's Christmas present and paid deposit. Received email requesting balance payment in November which was duly paid via paypal and received payment confirmation email from Game. Then... Nothing. Contacted Game a couple of weeks later to be told order had been cancelled as no paymebt was received. Checked with both the credit company and Paypal who both confirmed payment had been made and provided me with all transaction i.d.s, time of money tranfers and invoice i.d.s. These I forwarded to Game and still heard nothing. Have tried to contact them via phone but cannot get through. The webchat is all but useless telling me it has been passed to their web team. I have sent several emails but to no avail. It is now 4th January. My son did not receive his Xbox and I have heard nothing. I opended a dispute via Paypal's resolution centre last week and as of today Paypal have had no response from Game. Game have now had over £400 of my money for almost two months. I can only assume that they are once again in financial trouble and I don't hold out much hope of seeing my money again or receiveing the Xbox. Without doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Absolutely avoid at all costs.

Always out of stock on their website.

Why is so much of the stuff on their website out of stock? I'm particularly looking at Xbox 360 items. I'm sceptical as to whether they have ever had the stock in, in the first place!

They should really delete items that no longer exist or give dates last available, estimations as to future availability etc.

Buyers beware. Poor service, unable to communicate.

Unlike nearly every other buyer, I attempted to purchase an item from game.co.uk from the U.S.. Despite what seemed like a great opportunity at a Nintendo 2ds, turned out being a regretful hassle worth nearly a month, which I simply gave up and quit trying to fight them. With a product that was powered on for a few minutes (NO games were played with the system because U.S. games were not compatible with it, and I do not own any U.K. games), they would not accept the product to return. I did not use or play the system, I simply powered it on. They would not even let me know if they would buy it back as a"used" unit. Did they care or understand? Not one bit. I tried asking them a few questions and I had to rephrase them at least three times. Each time, I receive them same, irrelevant answers. It was my mistake to instigate this issue and show an interest for their products. All I could do was take the blow, and chalk it up as a $200 loss. I assume there are other more reliable gaming companies. With time, their well-deserved low reviews will catch up to them.

Fair price, decent delivery time!

I preordered my 3DS XL Blue Pokémon Edition from game, together with Shinobi 3D and Fire Emblem, it took a week or so, to get them shipped to Denmark, but it was worth it!
Also ordered Pokémon X and Y from them, it also had a week shipping, so if you live outside GB and want the game on release, don't order!

The poorest customer service I have ever received!

Purchased FIFA14 online, the disc had cracks around the centre hole. Emailed Game at least 5 times as our local store refused to help due to being an online purchase. I have not had a reply, not even to say its not their problem.
If you value customer service DON'T USE GAME!!!

Absolutely Terrible

Worst service ever, purchased Assassins Creed Black flag order not recorded in my account, no confirmation email but took my money.
Order stuck in limbo on games system as an incomplete order, only option available is to have them cancel my order wait 5-10 days for my refund and purchase again at a higher price.

Thats some damm good customer service. Will definitely be buying else where in future!!!!!!

staff dont know the truth

got the ps4 console two weeks before Christmas all be it I had to get the killzone bundle which my son didn't want.was told that with the receipt I would get £10 off any game and also the online code.went with my son on boxing day only to be told that the offer finished on Christmas eve.after some arguing,was then told offer was still on.they were charging £59.99 for ghosts which was out of stock so walked round to Argos and bought it for £49.99.went back to game for fifa14 and online code and was told offer didn't apply to the code.I explained that I wasn't told the offer finished on Xmas eve and the guy said they were only told themselves the week before.you are ripping off kids game,shame on you.

Unfortunately I can't rate this company any lower...

Initially I buy a game box for an online game to use the key to obtain some game time at decreased cost. However Game is still selling the old version of the game, even though it has been out of commission for over 3 years. What makes this even worse is that I find out later that they have been informed of this several times, but refuse to take the game off of their page in order to trick more customers into buying the non functional game and force you into spending more money with their company.

The way they do this is the following, as I contact their support department they say that I will be fully reimbursed for the game as well as any packaging costs and return costs. From this I figure, great I can have my money back, now they are located in the UK and I am not and the package price was the more than the game, so I would of course not have done this without a promise of reimbursement.

This all goes well they receive the package and I receive my reimbursement, but there seemed to be missing half of the amount. I once again contact the support to inform them of the mistake, this is then the first time that I am told that they can only reimburse me for my purchase, not the resend cost, that I can only get this in in store credits. I keep trying with their support to get my money back, but only to end out being down 10£ and having 10£ worth of credit in their store.

Of course as I was already swindled with the game, I do not want to purchase anything else with this company, but they are holding my money hostage to try and force me to buy more of their products.

I would never EVER recommend this company to anyone, this company are no better than your average street swindler and should be treated as such, avoid at all costs.

Lie After Lie!

Pre ordered a Ps4 in October and was expecting it before Christmas due to demand and as I was told they were going to be sold out. The day before release the specific bundle I had pre ordered was showing up as available. I tried to contact customer services only to find out that the only way to speak to someone was through the online contact. I couldn't get through and kept getting cut off. I thought ok then I will just order that bundle again and get it for release but when I went back on the site it was sold out but there were other much more expensive bundles available. So I bought one for over £600 just to ensure I got it on launch day. I thought this was very misleading though as I had pre ordered mine and it had not been sent due to it being sold out only to find that they had many for sale the day before??? It came and I have been lied to since about my £20 deposit I paid for the original order. I was at first told it would be 10 working days so I waited 12 and contacted them again and was told it had not even been issued? I also ordered a 12 month xbox one subscription and when I tried to input the code it had been used, when I contacted them they were very snotty about it and when I eventually got a code from Microsoft there was no apology or nothing just "it is currently sold out, we will send one as soon as it comes in stock". All in all they held stock of the Ps4 back to make extra £ off games when really one of those consoles should have been mine to start with. I don't like the fact that there is nobody to speak to by phone either. I will never use Game again.

False advertising and disgraceful customer service

Ordered a Preowned Wii U Lego City Undercover game. Advertised as coming with the Chase McCain minifigure (http://www.game.co.uk/en/lego-city-undercover-with-chase-mccain-minifigure-202378?pageSize=20&searchTerm=lego%20city%20undercover)

Figure not included and when contacted have said that their Terms and Conditions specify that they can not guarantee pre-owned items will come with additional things. No such reference in their normal Ts and Cs or on the specific part of the FAQ for Pre-owned items. Only reference is to online content / codes and quality of the item.

Latest response was I should have read the Terms and Conditions before purchasing - still on with this matter. I only purchased from them because it advertised that it came with the figure.

Not offered the option of a refund or anything. Instead put blame on me for not reading something that doesn't exist. Disgraceful.

wouldn't even be 1 star if that was a choice, preordered ps4 back in October, friend who ordered a month after got his im still waiting for mine. whilst getting told lie after lie. "we cant change delivery address" they changed it anyway,
"it will be with you on the 9th of december" its the 17th still not here, now working away.
"your bank appears to have blocked the payment you will need to call them to correct this, sorry the automated email informing you must not be working"- i didnt even call bank but next day payment was taken.
"we cant change delivery address to anything other than billing address"
"you need to call us to request your tracking number we dont provide it by standard" - this is a simple thing almost every company that uses tracked mail provides it.
never using GAME again online or in store. complete bunch of lairs. only use live chat service and no phone help unless you wait 2 hours for chat then request it then it is a premium rate number.
do not use ever. spent £20 in phone calls trying to sort it so far. im so annoyed that i even crated this account just for this review.

(seriously read all this message you may get your money back like i did )

i ordered two preowned games from games online service one arrived fine the other without a cartridge after many arguments with there online team telling me it was a download copy when really it was supposed to have a cartridge they got me to send the package back to them never received my refund though so i took a claim out on them via paypal as i paid via them. game they never responded to the claim and today i got a message of paypal saying they found in my favour and are recovering the money from game retail ltd so if you paid by paypal put a claim against them with every bit of evidence against them i did and won the case dont let game rip you off

HORRIFIC DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

bought an x box 360 the kinect and 7 games online. got the box delivered and the kinect was not inside, took me 3 days to get in touch with them. when i did they said they would send a replacement so i was happy enough then 2 days later i got an email to say it has been refunded. when I contacted them they are not saying its out of stock i am now stuck with an xbox360 and 7 kinect games with no kinect ... and they couldn't have cared less !!! AVOID WITH ALL COST a week before Christmas and i have to present for my niece

I ordered an xbox 360 via GAME.co.uk for Christmas. A whole week after I placed my order, I recieved an e-mail saying that my order had been cancelled as the item was out of stock. I went back on the website and it said the item was back in stock, so I ordered another. I spoke to an advisor via the live chat and asked if I would get this one and he said yes. The next day I recieved yet another e-mail saying that it was out of stock and my order has been cancelled. I spoke to an advisor to tell him what had happened and he was not interested at all. he just said 'yes that item is currently out of stock.'. I was also told that if I did not have a reward card then he could not give me any compensation. I am now £260 down (the refunds are not yet back in my bank) and have no xbox. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never be shopping with GAME again, and would advise everyone else to stay clear.

Very speedy delivery

Ordered two games, which were both deals of the week for Christmas, saving 50% on both! Even better they were received next day when delivery was free! Very fast Service especially at this time of year.

"Order before xmas, recieve before xmas" WRONG

Absolutely shocking company... Disgraceful customer service, lack of speaking call agents to solve problems, ordered ps4 with COD ghosts in september 2013, told it will come b4 xmas...WHERE IS IT??!!!

I recieved an email asking me to contact my bank to let them know that GAME PLC will take a large transaction, which i did.. Ensured enough funds were in the account and waiting for a confirmation date..

First week in december an email reads "unfortunately your order has been cancelled due to payment error regarding your account"
They told me not enough funds were available which is pony, as i went to the bank and notified them... Oh and after 5 emails giving them a few choice words about their total lack of service or sympathy i am still waiting for my deposit back, which i placed i good faith

No wonder theyve been in financial trouble with how they treat their customers... Absolute disgrace.. Luckily for me they did not take the full amount as i made sure i took the full amount from my account but still no console, no deposit back, no reply to my email, disgusting customer service.. I will go without before i ever even think about prdering with them again... Not how a company should b run.. Im being generous giving them a 1 out of 5, its like something u see on tv when people get ripped off never to be heard from again... Oh and another thing, the manager and staff in store are even worse, were not interested in the slightest.. Go online is all i got off them, was in store a good hour demanding management and got same treatment as online... I hope they end up back where they were last year, especially when ripping genuine people off this time off year, times are hard as it is without companies like this

Disappointed, Devastated and Let Down

I have been a loyal customer of Game for 11 years and bought 3 consoles with tons of games and accessories. I pre-ordered my Launch Day Xbox One in August 2013.
I received a text on 20th November to say that I would receive it in a couple of days. A check on the website said it had shipped.
Come launch day - No Xbox One! 10 days later - Still no Xbox One! After emails and phonecalls that were ignored I eventually waited them out on Webchat and had a particularly unhelpful conversation where I was told that they had cancelled the order and were now out of stock !!! I cannot tell you how disappointed I am and I was a very loyal customer. They have no regard or care for their customers what so ever. So far I have received no response to my request for my deposit to be refunded.

I ordered off game and havn't received my goods. They won't reply to my emails. Webchat is wank and ive heard on the grapevine that they are going bump and this makes me think I can can kiss goodbye to my order and money.i wouldn't recommend buying or pre ordering and I think a lot of peoples guarantees are gonna be worthless.

A thieving company with awful customer service

Pre-ordered an xbox one and used Paypal to pay for my order. I checked my Paypal account once the console had been dispatched to find I had been charged twice. I have tried to contact them using web chat and email. One advised me the accounts dept would contact me and the other advised me the web team would contact me. I've had no contact from either and they still have my £430.

Avoid using this company online at all costs. You are putting your money at risk.
