dit not deliver and made me jump through hoops to get refund... Which im still waiting for!

Ordered my item at the end of janurary and recieved email informing me that order had been dispatched a day later. order never arrived, and when i contacted Games Basement they told me before i could report it as having not having been delivered i must wait 3 weeks. then when i contacted them again. they told me i needed to print off a missing item form that they would email me and post it to them. i did this and posted it to them. i was then told (next time i contacted them) it must have got lost in the post and i should print off and send another. which i have now done. i am still waiting for my refund and it has been over a month since my order. i have informed Games Basement that if i have not recieved my refund in 2 weeks i will be forced to take legal action!

Non-delivery.

I placed an order for a Wii Headbanger headset and was told that it shipped on the same day. Three weeks later and it hasn't arrived, assumed lost in the post!

Worried for no reason

I was looking for a Kinect Wall Mount and was really dissapointed to find that everywhere had sold out. I read somwhere that the distributor underestimated sales or something so there was very little supply!

Then I found GamesBasement. I was a little shocked to find that they still had stock when nobody else did and was equally shocked at the fact that the price was the cheapest I had seen anywhere. So, I placed my order.

Then I started worrying - why did they still have stock when nobody else did, especially with such a bargain price. I started looking at reviews and understood the problem - I had been ripped off like everybody else. So, I called them up. A message stating that there were problems with the phones confirmed my worries. A call an hour later and a different message stated that the office was closed between 14:30 and 15:30 (or sometime around then for an hour - lunch I guess!). A call at 16:00 and about 5 minutes on hold, I managed to get through. A pleasant guy on the phone checked my order and put me on hold. He then told me that he had spoken to the Warehouse who had dispatched my order.

From then until now, I was worried that I had been ripped off. Reading more and more reviews increased that worry.

This morning I was extremely shocked to find that my order had arrived. I still didn't believe it expecting it to be a fake or something else wrong with it. No, my order was perfect.

Normally I wouldn't review something, but after reading so many bad reviews, I though it only fair to share my experience.

I don't doubt that a lot of people have had problems and it will mainly be the people who have a bad problem will be the first to complain while the good experiences get left unheard.

Despite my constant worries - which was no fault of the company, only the negative reviews, my order went perfectly.

I know that a lot of people will assume that I work for the company or am affiliated - to those, there is nothing I can say that will change you mind or convince you that I have nothing to do with GamesBasement other than being a customer for a single purchase.

Great service and delivery to germany

I've ordered Call Of Duty Black Ops for my PS3 on release day via VISA-Card. Next Day they shipped it out- and 10 working days later i received my still sealed copy of black ops. I must admit- i was afraid that they dont deliver- because of these reviews here, but know i know better :D

For my first time using this site i found it to be relly good. I ordered a super mario galaxy as it was the cheapest at the time and i got it the next day. So I will be seeing what else I can get with service like that

Ordered Hokuto Musou which is a japanese ps3 game, it's kinda hard to gtet unless you are buying from ebay and ive had bad experiences with them before. i ordered from games basement and i paid for 48 hour delivery but i thought it was worth it to make sure i got it in time for the weekend. i got my email to say it was dispatched about an hr after placing my order so i was happy and my postage got upraded to a 24 hr service instead of the 48 hr i paid for so even my cuffed. great to be able to get some jap stuff from in the uk, me likes

Right on the money!!!

One of my friends told me about this site, she had ordered of here for her brother. I was a little unsure after coming across this review site, as I was buying a present for my little nephew. I didn't have time to go shopping so I placed a order for a PS3 and Street Fighter IV (They were the cheapest). I had ordered early as I had looked at some of the reviews people had written about things being late. BUT I HAD NO PROBLEM! Two days later I got home as the postie had left a note - I picked it up and got my package - even had time to have a few rounds with my mates before I had to wrap it all up. I really don't know why the people are getting their nickers all wound up. GIVE THEM A TRY.

Good service and great communication

I ordered a Tritton AX 720 a week ago and it arrived today. This was especially good as I live in Spain and normally stuff from UK takes some time so am very pleased with the service. Spoke to Customer Services to obtain details of shipment etc and was very pleased at their level of service and communication.

I saw one on google being advertised by this company I paid a small amount of £6.99 and in 2 day voila it arrives and my bf is over the moon!!

Excellent Service

I have been ordering Japanese games and some collector edition games I can't get up here in the U.S. from Gamesbasement for the last few months and have received all of them in a timely manner and well packaged. I had only started ordering games from Gamebasement this year and so far haven't experieced any problems with my order getting out within a reasonable time or my package taking to long to arrive.

I order with this company a headset, wich is hard to get anywhere in the UK, and I received within 2 days (48 hours), i was very suprised nice services and the headset came well packed as well.

Great service and speedy delivery

One of the few places to actually have Red Dead Redemption on PS3 in stock! I heard good things about GamesBasement from friends and purchased the game form them.

All I can say is excelelnt service all around, the game arrived next day and was packaged very well.

Would definitely buy again from them

Better than expected

I asked them to see if they could get some japanese game as its japanese you can't really get those games here. It wasn't on there website but i just rung up they said yeah they could get it and itd be there next week. I ordered it the following week and they sent got it in a couple of days. I was quite impressed considering that if it wasnt for me asking if they could get it it wouldnt even be on their website lol! stuck to their promise

Fast Delivery

I ordered a dual shock controller from them last week I was told it would be sent same day and expect in a couple of days. When I got back from work the next day I had a slip from Royal Mail - went and picked it up from my local post office was well happy!

Don't use this company

Placed order on 13th Dec 09 - payment taken immediately, promised delivery before Xmas. Nothing showed up. Am still chasing for a refund (11/3/10). I had to buy the Xmas present elsewhere in the end. gamesbasement have promised me a refund on 5 separate occasions.

Amazed they're still operating

I ordered a PS3 mid November for my husband's Xmas present. As I hadn't received it after 2 weeks, I phoned and was told that it had been sent for packing and I would receive it within a few days - I didn't. I tried phoning again on 18th December only to get a continuous engaged tone. On Xmas eve, I ended up having to buy one last minute from elsewhere. Over the Xmas period, I kept trying to phone them, but was still getting the engaged tone. On 2nd January, I phoned again and got the unobtainable tone, realising that I'd been scammed, I contact the Visa company, who have since refunded me and are taking it up with Gamesbasement directly.

Highly Recommended

I had an old ps2 console and when i found out how much it would cost to fix i decided to buy a new one. I ordered a brand new PS2 console and received it in 5 days. Above all i didn't have to pay any postage, i received it free of charge and the price was super cheap, cheaper than any other place i looked around. I highly recommend gamesbasement and would use again.

Hello fellow gamers. I live in Greece and was looking to buy Littlebigplanet and found gamesbasement.co.uk on a greek forum. I was a bit nervous using them as in the past i normally used play.com zavvi and thehut although their prices were much higher. I thought to give gamesbasement a go as their prices even in Euros were rock bottom and offered free delivery to Greece. I ordered the Littlebigplanet for PS3 on a monday and received it in greece the following monday. I was very happy with my purchase and I would use them again as long as they keep up the good service and stick to their cheaper prices.

Excellent service will use again

The internet seems to have given some people the power to complain in a jiff rather than solve a problem when things don't do their way.

I recently moved to Germany and used this company as it was highly recommended on serveral German forums. As my experience was excellent, i placed my order, paid via my visa, the delivery estimate was around 5 days and i received my order in 6.

I highly recommend this company specially for region free games that cannot be found elsewhere. regards from Hamburg.

Not bad at all!

I wasnt going to leave feed back but having read some of the comments I thought I'd give my perspective, I searched google for cooking mama 3 and found that this site had a good price and offered Free delivery so I thought I would give them a try.
I ordered on a Thursday and on Saturday I recieved an email to say that my order was processed and that it would take 2-4 days for me to recieve it. When I got home from work the game was on my mat.

A very helpful company

I ordered a red dsi to find out that it was so popular that it went out of stock in minutes. I phoned, waited about 5 mins and got through. They offered me a refund, but after speaking to a lovely lady, very professional, she changed my order to the pink one and received it in 2 days of ordering.

They offer excellent service.

I too work in customer services and I know from experience that for every one unhappy customer there are around 1,000 very happy ones. So from readying some of these comments, there must by thousands upon thousands of happy customers.

If a product is out of stock just ask for a refund or change your order to something that's in stock. Its that simple.

Great prices and speedy delivery

I have always used PLAY in the past but Games Basement are as cheap and in some cases cheaper. Also the delivery of the DSI and Wii motionplus I ordered was very fast (ordered on Friday late afternoon and I received on Tuesday Morning.)

I will definately be using them again.

I ordered a green DSi Lite for son's birthday from Gamesbasement not only were they competively priced...which I must add was good. They also surpased my expectations as I received an email stating my goods would be despatched to me in 4-5 days. I actually received the following day. Well done and keep up the good work.
