Inexpensive product. Strange to need for them to call me and for me to press a few buttons to verify that the debit card used wasn't stolen. So it seems secure in that way, but different. Maybe regulations are different in Germany. I missed the phone call the first time and they then asked me to provide all this info for them to make sure it wasn't a stolen card and I didn't want to go through that so I asked them for a refund which they promptly have me. Then I bought the product again and did not miss the confirmation phone call and received the product appropriately. I'd use them again for the very low sale prices.
Gamesrocket gives you a working key for about half the price. After the verification process, the keys were delivered promptly. Their customer service was fast and polite.
I will continue to buy my games for less.
I bought Assassins Creed from Gamesrocket for a good price but hated the fact that I had to download a download manager instead of using Steam. After I installed the manager I started downloading the game and got 200 kb/s. I could have torrented it with faster download speed. I know it want my connection either because I usually get around 1.7mb/s on Steam. I liked the prices but did not like the distribution. I would use Gamesrocket more if steam/origin/Uplay keys were sold.
When ordering, I got a message that I had to confirm order by phone.
To bad, I did not think anything wrong about that.
At the same day I gave out my phone numer, I got my very first SMS Spam ever!!!
Coincident or not, seems quite odd to me.
Time will show if it was only this message or if it wil continue.
Gamesrocket are more than welcome to comment here.
By the way, I got the code!
Definately recommend these guys, 1st time purchase, so I needed to do an automated phone confirmation, and they rang me, and all completed within 5 minutes, so all in all no complaints whatsoever, and I will definately use them again.
I ordered a game from these guys for the first time November 6, 1913. I'm pretty used to services like this, but when you order a game online, a lot of times you're looking for instant gratification.
The links I received for my game timed out. No 404 error, they just never connected and started the download. I hate to admit it, but I gave them a pretty hard time about it and I've tried to discipline myself not to do that. At any rate, I woke up the next morning, clicked the URL's and my download went fine. I believed they solved the problem on their end in a timely matter. I have no complaints with these people. I did some reputation inquiries and didn't see any red flags. I would be fine in recommending them. Nonetheless, I have a much longer track record with other game download sites.
After the site promised key delivery in 5-15 minutes, I received an email requesting additional verification via phone contact. After putting in my phone number and submitting it, the site told me that wasn't an option for my location. Okay. Whatever.
Another email came in requesting a scan of my photo ID, additional personal information, and a picture of myself with said ID FOR A PAYPAL TRANSACTION THAT WAS ALREADY TAKEN OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT.
That's an insane process for an online game purchase that's supposed to provide a key in 5-15 minutes. Even if it's not purposefully malicious, it's unacceptable to expect a customer to send that much critical personal information for a $45 purchase to some tertiary, relatively unknown site.
Try to purchase at your own risk.
I was looking around for CIV III: Complete download. I was willing to pay so I had a friend look it up too. Not too many sell that game anymore. I came across another website and found that they were not good at all.
Then this one was brought to my attention. $5 for a copy of the game! I was shocked at the price. I continued to purchase the game. I was a but curious when I needed phone verification just because of the game. I went through it, got an email, and downloaded the installer and then the game itself.
At first, it wanted unlimited access to my computer. I gave it limited because it was very much unusual. When I played the game, I was impressed at how good it worked. It asked again for unlimited access and I granted it permission for it. I'm in Computer Hardware and Software now in college, so I figured I could've handled something little as that.
I had no problems with the game. I was greatly impressed. The wait time was pretty long, though (for download). Overall, I would recommend this website to anyone.
they sent me cdkeys very quick, and clearly but they were cdkeys in use, i am watting for new ones, i hope they help me quick, and i will buy here again if not, ill have to make a complaint in the Consumer Department about the page.
It was my first time order and the way they treat the new accounts is great in my opinion. Building in an extra security check really builds confidence. As soon as the security check was done my code was delivered. All in all it took less than 5 minutes.
i must say i had doubts at first if this site was safe and secure for online purchase, but to my relief the transaction was fast and i got my product (code) within 5 mins and it was valid and worked great! Gamesrocket is an authentic site and you should freely purchase games and products from here without any doubt.
I bought and downloaded this great game I used to play.
But this is not working with windows 8 (neither with 7 nor Vista according to forums).
I tried to instal several patches, still not working.
So just a waste of money. I would have liked to know it earlier.
This was my first purchase from Gamesrocket, and I such I was a bit concerned. I made the purchase which, was followed by a quick automated phone verification, and then was delivered my license code via email.
Yep. I'm satisfied! The website was a little sketchy. I had trouble paying for my purchase at first. I'm cool with it though because my bank sent me a text message confirming that I really was using this website for a purchase! It's all good!
I had some trouble figuring out where to download my game. But sent an email to Gamesrocket. (based on a reply I saw on their Facebook page) and it worked out next day!....So Thanks Again! I would suggest Gamesrocket.com updating their website to show compatabilty with different browsers. I tried it on chrome and it didn't work. Firefox worked perfect though!
It's not Gamesrocket's fault really, how are they to know that this particular game (Medieval Total War Gold Edition) simply will not work with any graphics card 'newer' than six years old. But I've written to them and I can't be the only one, and it's still for sale on their site. It's not just me having a technical problem, this game works for "no one" with a relatively up to date computer.
In my opinion, a merchant should not sell such products.
