I ordered some plants using a Groupon voucher, in August. They do appear to discriminate against Groupon Voucher users. Their website states that delivery could be longer for voucher users......why. I raised a ticket (they don't like you phoning them) to find out what was happening....no response. Eventually got through to them on the phone. The plants did eventually arrive. They were supposed to be 4 different Japanese Acers, lovely bushy plants. They were basically a stick in some compost with very little root growth. I raised more tickets with no response. I contacted Groupon who said they would contact Gardening Express and once GE had told them they had got the plants back I would get a refund. Nothing from GE. I would have to return the plants which would cost me even more. I decided (rather stupidly) to cut my losses and class it as another life experience not to be repeated. I feel that GE totally discriminate against Voucher users and we get the left overs. I haven't had any response from after I informed them I had had no response from GE.Groupon
Ordered quite a few plants from here two weeks ago and received them yesterday. About 5 days after ordering I called them to hear when they'd send the plants as we had not received a dispatch email yet. The lady on the phone was completely useless as she didn't even know who was delivering the plants or if I would be notified on the day of delivery. So I basically needed to be available from that day and two weeks ahead! Ten days after the order was placed my partner emailed them to ask if they had been sent, and conveniently we received a dispatch note shortly after. The delivery firm, however, was quite good. And most of the plants arrived in good condition. Won't be using gardeningexpress again though.
After numerous enquiry s I finally got my plants. Arrived not in very good condition although they charge you £8 to deliver. Also unless you have Internet explorer you cannot contact them by email, and when you ring the number you have endless amounts of options and in the end you are connected to a prerecorded message.
This was bought from Groupon 2nd time have been let down by them.
I ordered five plants from Gardening Express about two months ago. A week after ordering I still hadn't had any dispatch notification, so I phoned up. The man at the other end of the phone explained that they'd been really busy recently and that my plants would be shipped within 24 hours. Two days later I still hadn't received any dispatch notification. It took seven attempts to get through to someone on the phone, and this time I was given the same excuse. Finally, a week later and still with no dispatch notification, I phoned up and was eventually told that the plants had been shipped but there was no tracking number. After some fuss, I was given the name of the courier. I contacted the courier and gave them my address - they then confirmed that they had nothing on the system for this address and not only that, but they don't even dispatch from Gardening Express! After this I contaced Gardening Express and after some fuss I was told I would receive a full refund, even though they claimed to have sent the goods. After waiting a MONTH for my refund and having received nothing, I was forced to contact my bank who then issued a chargeback against Gardening Express and I got my money back. I really don't appreciate being lied to by a company I've bought from, and much less having my money taken without being sent the goods.
I will never buy from Gardening Express again. Stay well away.
