Husky hedge trimmer
Transaction was smooth and simple delivered in time as said but the packaging box was in a terrible state as if it had been opened and returned the hedge trimmer had one or two minor scratches on it which made me consider if it had been used. I accepted it and hoping for the best.

Response to order would have been nice
Ordered on line but recived no order acknowledgement. Money had been taken form my card so had to phone to find out what was happening. Very helpful young lady did chase it up and get back to me. Not sure if the problem lay with GMD or Husqvarna. Past experience of the latter didn't impress me !

Thirty years experience says you can't beat the price or the service.!
On this purchase I bought only 2 stroke oil, but it's hard to get high performance genuine Sthil oil locally. I've found that even with delivery charge, buying 5 litres still works out cheaper than buying fully synthetic oil from Halfords or elsewhere and it beats using standard 2 stroke oil at 25::1 ratio. Why use dubious oils in your Sthil power machinery when you can use the genuine Sthil oil cheaper? Then you have the cost of fuel and time to go out and buy from other sources.
I've found over the years that it does not pay to buy cheap shoddy garden machinery. I use chain saws and brush cutters a devil of a lot and i have found that Sthil are amongst the best and having searched the field, for chainsaws and hedge cutters I could not find a better price than Ron Smiths Garden Machinery Direct. Then you have an excellent back up service with fully competent staff where you can take the machines back if you have any problems and get the right spares for them when they need them. Also parking is a serious consideration these days. You would not want to lug a ride on mower half way across the city!

Promp delivery well packaged, only criticism was that there was no contact over delivery day or time and therefore this took two attempts.
Good mower at a good price, so I'm happy. However the delivery could have been seemless if I had been contacted to ensure I was at home at the day and time of the initial delivery, instead it was taken away and I had to call a depot to arrange delivery for another day.

FANTASTIC, SUPERB, BRILLIANT
Afrer few hours of reasarch i found what i really want and then i found where im going to order from. Garden machinery- cheapest online shop from all websites. Tried to pay with my card and i had little problem because my card didnt had some 3d security thing activated so next day i had a phone call from Garden machinery if i would like to pay over the phone. What a service!!! Delivery was superfast. Really good company and i would definatelly recommend to anyone. Thank you GM.

Product arrived today 1 week after ordering.
Which is generally fine, but no communication was received to note when it would arrive, and the item was showing "in stock" when ordered. As an expensive item I was therefore hoping for delivery within a day or two.
Anyway, it's all here now. Not had chance to check it yet, but I'm sure it will be fine.

Can't see me using these again
After 5 days and not hearing anything from this company I sent an email querying when I'd get my delivery. No reply. I then contacted by phone and was told they'd call me back asap. To be fair they came back pretty quickly only to tell me that Stihl no longer supply that product!! Very frustrating having waited 5 days and then, the best part, my refund would take 3-5 days. Hmmmmmm

Beutiful people, beutiful machines
Very helpful, sorted out the order for me immediatly. promised delivery next day, the lawnmower arrived next day on time. Opened the box, looked at it for a good few minutes admiring my new machine. Love the red shiny colour on the mountfield, really looked cool. My wife thought It was a pram, she was very excited. My duaghter said it was disgusting buying a princess pram at our age.
took me 15mins to put it together, it was raining so had to wait till the afternoon to try it out, could not wait.
Brilliant machine, quiter then my previous old Qualcast. I do reccommend the shop and Mountfield machines. Definitly - not be used as a pram.

One slight word of warning, the lawn mower arrived with the 'No Oil' tag removed but the lawn mower did not have any oil.... could have been a very expensive mistake if I hadn't checked.

I really like my new hedge cutter starts like a dream and runs great!. Garden Machinery did a great job on quick service and delivery! Packaging showed signs of deterioration during transporting and could be improved to stay the distance??

This company had a fast, well laid out website, the cheapest price I could find by some margin and the mower was despatched & delivered within 2 days. A minor query after delivery was dealt with promptly & professionally. Undoubtedly the company to go to for anything they supply!

Goods checked before sending!
Having placed my order for a garden tiller and border edger I got a quick response telling me of dispatch and tracking. Very good. This was shortly followed by an apologetic email say that the edger was noted to be damaged, a replacement had been ordered and an estimation of postage was given (only 1/2 days). They then said they would send a new tracking email on postage. This didn't happen but my goods came promptly. Although that step was missed I was pleased that the damage was noted and sorted rather than me get the damaged item and have to post back or wait on collection etc etc. I have yet to use said item because of weather and other commitments, but service and price I have no complaints about at all. I would recommend this firm.

Good products & prices, poor/non-existent customer service.
Ordered machine online at a reasonable price. Item was promptly dispatched but didn't arrive (This was a fault of Fed-Ex), however on emailing the suppliers I received absolutely no response! Very disapointing, I had to chase fed-Ex & a third party courier myself, 8 phone calls later item was located..................I don't think I should have had to do this, the supplier should have.

As I hope you can understand that as soon as your item leaves our premises we heavily rely on the couriers to get back to us and inform us of any delays etc on deliveries.
I can confirm that your delivery area is a 3-7 working day delivery area,due to the fact that you live in a remote part of the uk.The nearest delivery depot to your address in Inverness which is over 100 miles from your address hence the reason for the 3-7 working day delivery.
I hope you can understand that we cannot offer your delivery area as a next day area and do hope we can help you in the future.
