Green house construction made easy

The green house frame arrived in a pack with the toughened glass provided separately.
The pack contained all the frame elements wrapped in bunches, which aligned with the sections of the instruction booklet, and the individual parts numbered as per the detailed instructions. The only problem we experienced was the louvre window which needs to be installed at the bottom of the section with the glass positioned above, otherwise the glass was too long to be installed. This was not made clear in the instructions and required a phone call before it could be rectified.

Mostly very good

The instructions could be greatly improved with clearer pictures and better explanation.
A large colour picture of the finished article would also help.
The Packages did not relate to the numbered instructions.
Some of the glass was chipped and one pane broken.
The finished article looks good though.
Not for the faint hearted though.
perseverance is the order of the day.

I ordered a pair of wellies which turned out to be too small even though I ordered the size that always fits normally. Gardensite were very helpful when I got in touch and gave me a refund as well as refunding my postage when I returned the wellies.

Great Service and Products!

I ordered Barlow Tyrie Equinox tables, chairs and Loungers from Gardensite. I rang to get advise on the products and Daniel was very helpful. I actually placed the order over the phone and Daniel kept me informed of the delivery throughout. The delivery was also very quick. The products I ordered are also excellent, I am very pleased with the look and quality of them. Will definitely use gardensite again.

Good service, mediocre product

The arbour was was received on time, very efficient. The finish left something to be desired. Some screws had been left proud. 2 screws had gone through at an angle so not even holding the parts together ! The main problem was the residue from the protective treatment, I spent almost a day having to sand it down before I could give it a decorative finish. Lack of quality control.

Efficient even though item I ordered was out of stock. Didn't have to wait too long for new stock to come in.

Because the item I ordered was out of stock I didn't bother to track delivery. I thought I would be notified when Gardensite had new stock in and told when my order had been despatched. However, it wasn't so I had delivery man turning up on the doorstep unexpected - just glad I was in. Probably, it was my fault for not tracking the order - even though it was initally out of stock. I will know another time. Otherwise all fine and I would use this company again. .

Reliable & quick postal delivery of Greenhouse Spares.

Sita easy o navigate to find exact spares. Helps to know original greenhouse manufacturer eg Halls.
Vent opening device. no drilling required and works well.

I have used AGL many, many years ago to buy my greenhouse. That has been fine but my wife passed away a year or two ago and I was depressed somewhat because we had been married for fifty years. As a result of this I neglected doing any gardening. I was feeling better and wanted to bring my greenhouse up to date. I needed new wheels for the door and ordered them from you. They arrived very quickly and suited my door. What more could I ask for? By the way I looked at just what you have on offer and was surprised what was there and the sensible prices used.

May as well have used baking foil!

ordered the following Shed Baron Canberra 5ft wide x 8ft deep Metal Lean To Shed (FG85LT) it was £432 with the base and shelf kit.
The quality of the steel was so poor I would have been better off making my own using baking foil and toilet roll holders.
Because of poor weather (Scotland) we had to stop before we could get the roof on. The next day when we returned to the shed it was totally twisted out of shape and reinforced our opinion of the poor quality of materials this shed is made from

Buyer beware if you're considering purchasing this shed, they are supposedly manufactured in Australia hence the name Canberra, I think you'll find they are from China and made from the poorest quality steel available.

Buy a wooden shed and avoid the headaches we have had ever since this shed arrived!

In the light of your review I have decided to reply immediately and have also contacted one of the Directors, Mr. Philip Kandel, of the importers concerned. He had phoned me back before 9.30am this morning and has since written me a lengthy e-mail, some of which I will include below.

Initially can I say that I am very sorry that you are disappointed with your purchase from GardenSite. Our ethos is to supply only what customers’ want, which we believe is a quality product, with a high level of service. Store More Garden Buildings are one of our preferred suppliers because they meet, and indeed exceed our expectations. I have checked your order and there is no written record of you contacting us to voice your opinion or concerns. I believe your review on TrustPilot therefore, is the first we have heard?

I fear that leaving the building partly erected overnight, without a roof, in the storm like conditions we have suffered throughout the UK recently, is probably a major contributing fact to your shed being ‘totally twisted out of shape.’ As a gesture of goodwill we will replace the damaged parts at a heavily subsidised price for you? Can you please e-mail a list of these parts to us at helpdesk@gardensite.co.uk. Hopefully you will then have a fully serviceable shed that you are satisfied with?

I will now quote from Philip Kandel’s e-mail to me, as he has the technical and practical expertise that I lack when it comes to sourcing steel from around the world.
“Quite simply, in light clad steel sheds (as opposed to heavy-duty) this is the BEST quality high tensile, hot dipped galvanised steel available. There may be other sources which match this quality but none are better. However, there are many metal sheds manufactured from lesser quality and some of those brands are found in the UK market.

The steel for the Canberra sheds is sourced from Malaysia, India and Australia. These are primary sources of high grade steel in the world. None of the components are made from any materials sourced from China.

In the course of managing our supply chain, we have visited many of the factories where our products are produced. We have visited this particular factory and examined the materials supplied as well as the manufacturer. The steel is made stronger by the number and regularity of creases in the steel through the roll-forming process. The design of the Canberra cladding steel has the most creases of any in this category giving it the maximum strength.”

incomprehensible instructions for installation of greenhouse

why cannot the pictures and descriptions be of similar quality to the product. love the greenhouse so far but erecting it took far longer than estimated and tested tempers .

don't know what all the fuss is about!

I had read lots of reviews saying that these sheds were a total nightmare to assemble and that they took 2 men hours and hours to assemble so i was anxious about them but had no need to be, they were a dream to put together even on my own and put 2 sheds together in no time with no hassles, they look great and will be buying a 3rd one very soon, well impressed!!

Simon (GardenSite partner) and I put together a 10ft x 13ft metal shed a few years ago as part of our display bulidings area, so I also understand the process. Securing the shed to the base and adding the roof effectively 'completes the dice' and brings the required rigidity you would expect. This point can be misunderstood if you have not assemled one before.

I hope you trust us again when you buy the third one?

Fast and efficient service -no quibbles.

Needed a filter for a pond vac and found one online (not too easy I have to say to find such things) but when I did find it at Gardensite, the purchase experience was no trouble at all.

Good price paid and very fast delivery.

Prompt and efficient service

We ordered a garden swing from Gardensite. Received an email confirming the order and within days received a phone call to say delivery would be the following week. Gave details of where to leave it if we were not in. However, we were in when it was delivered and the delivery driver talked about each item as it was unloaded (surprised it was not packaged), so that we could tick it off the items from the list with the instructions. Erected easily following instructions and it now looks absolutely wonderful. Just waiting for the summer to make good use of it! Thank you.

Fast and efficient

The pre-cast pond arrived in good condition and within the specified time. The pond was exactly as described and suits my needs precisely. I would recommend the firm to anyone.

i bought a replacement quartz sleeve for my pond uv filter,

Outstanding customer service

Lolling for an addition 2 way brass hose manifold - out of stock on the website and told when I called not in until August. Then I was asked how many I wanted and hey presto one was found!

Talk about head in the shed ??

Did not expect so many sections but I am a joiner so just got stuck in and didn't take long but I think Mr DIY might struggle a bit, Once erected a good strong shed that will last some time. Found there was a piece missing but received replacement in no time.

We ordered the green house from Garden site. The staff were very helpful and the delivery date was 2/3 weeks We were very pleased to say that we had a text stating that the greenhouse would be delivered within 7 days. We had someone erect it for us, and it is now taking pride and place at the top of the garden. It is really nice to look at and I know I am going to enjoy using this for a very long time. Have already nearly filled all the space !!

Long wait for delivery

I ordered some greenhouse staging - the website states a delivery time of up to 14 working days. I phoned after 12 working days to track the order and was told I would get an e-mail with the latest info. Nothing arrived. After 15 working days I phoned again and this time I did get a prompt phone call a few minutes later saying it ws in transit and should arrive tomorrow. This does take a great deal of time to be delivered - a rival online company where I bought my greenhouse from promises next day delivery! How can they do it and not Gardensite?

Thank you for taking the time to review GardenSite.

We use several different suppliers for staging and the one you chose offers a bespoke service where you can chose SLATTS or TRAYS on many sizes, in 1, 2 or 3 tier forms. This choice is great, which is why we offer it, but as the staging is bespoke to you, and therefore assembled to your specification, delivery is quoted as 14 working days, as you said. Sometimes, in season, this does get extended. Please accept our apologies.

If you had chosen another staging, which might have been an ‘off the shelf product’ it would have arrived with 48 hours, and ideally 24 hours. I hope this helps explain the delay somewhat?
