My Siverline was delivered within a few days of ordering by a very friendly driver from Gloucester, who gave me some excellent advice on how to catch rabbits. Everything was packaged nicely, the glass was palleted up in one big crate that weighed 160 kilos or so the driver said and with he pulling it and me pushing we managed to get it up the drive and into my garage. A well deserved cuppa was his just reward. I didn't check all the parts on arrival, but they all seem to be there, with a couple of bits left over. I expect I'll find somewhere to fit them eventually. It's nearly completed, my mate and I have been putting it up in stages between torrential downpours and gale force winds. Great fun. A couple of sheets blew out only minutes after fitting them, thank goodness I opted for the toughened glass, they bounced.. The instruction manual gave me some much needed mental gymnastics, perhaps it would be easier to understand in German. Fitting the rubber glazing beading also gave my finger tips a good work out for several hours. The driver said he had put one together and it had taken him two weekends, he's obviously gifted. Well it's nearly finished and I should be picking tomatos in a couple of weeks or so. Er, make that a couple of months as I,m off for some respite on a cruise ship for a week or two. Cheers.
