I don't know if i was lucky or if all the people at gatemotors are as good but i delta with Will and he made the enquirey and purchase easy. He even rung me back the day after to identify some more parts which i enquired about suggesting that i photograph the old part which i needed and sending him the picture so he could identify it and quote for a new one.
To me that was stepping outside the box and looking after his customer. A rare attitude in today world. Great firm, ask for Will when you ring.
I was kept informed as to the progress of the delivery every step of the way, told when the delivery would be made and allowed to redirected when I realised I would not be home. As always apart from this, the bloods were packaged beautifully, excellent quality as I would expect and superb value.
A top notch e-retailer, great quality items, delivered amazingly quickly and with superb communication.
Be very careful. This company will supply you the goods but if you get a faulty item they ask you to contact the manufacturer direct. I bought the x metro kit made by Nice and when I did contact Nice they even said this company 'gatemotors' are happy to supply goods but then just don't want to help sort out faulty goods. I've been on the phone back to gatemotors and they just fall back to the line 'we are an Internet based company and only supply what others have manufactured' clearly they don't want to honour any warranty commitments and don't want to know !

Found the items we were looking for; ordered them and paid for them, and hey presto, before too long we had what we needed - both, the items and a trusty supplier who delivered what they said they would, when they would. Well done, and thank you!
I ordered from their website, paid via paypal and there were no delivery details. Company did not send me any delivery or tracking information. The delivery company they used required a signature and tried to delver on two occasions a day apart then returned the package. I wax away for three days and on my return found a not through my door asking me to contact them. I did so and found they had returned the package, from receiving it to sending back the delivery company had it about four days! On contacting gatemotors they insist pay again for the delivery and its my fault for not staying at home for the week! Appalling service, only order from them guarantee there will always some one at home 24/7 to receive their package. If there is an issue do not expect any assistance from Gatemotors.

I was really please with the sales advice I received from gatemotors. Knowing nothing about what sort of kit I needed for my gates they were really helpful in helping me choose the right one and picking out an intercom to go with it. The order arrived alot sooner than expected and id certainly recommend them to anyone else looking at this sort of diy project.
This is the 1st time our company used Gate Motors and they have already lost us as a future customer, we will certainly never be using them again.
It took 2 days to get a quote from them, with us having to chase them over that period, and when we finally received it it was wrong! After we managed to get them to get it right, we made our order on Monday for next day delivery (Tuesday), paying for that service, and 3 days later we still have no order!!!
Having phoned to chase our order, the lady I spoke to in Sales was Very rude, interrupting me again & again - saying my engineer had agreed the time delay with her on the phone - Not true! Then she argued with me about refunding the next day delivery charge!! I Can't believe the way we have been treated. I also wont be surprised if I have to chase our delivery refund.
I ordered a gate opener kit. It arrived promptly. When I unpacked it I found that the inner polystyrene packing was cracked and broken. When I checked the product I found that the controller casing was cracked. The product is far too heavy for the quality of the packing. The packing won't survive normal carrier handling.
I reported the problem by email - no reply initially recieved. When I chased again by email I finally got a response and a promise that the whole kit would be replaced. The replacement arrived when agreed, and the damaged kit was collected. The packing on the replacement kit was also damaged but there was no damage to the equipment.
I had bought two additional remote controls with the original kit. I was told not to return these, but to use them with the replacement kit. I then found that the replacement kit was a 'facelift' of the original kit. The remote controls look entirely different. Now I have two remote controls of one design and two of another design. I did not want this and complained by email. Despite chasing twice, I still have no reply a whole week later.
I haven't fitted the kit yet but I dread to think what will happen if it doesn't work. I don't expect any support from the supplier. They seem to ignore most emails. I currently also have two different types of remote control (they look completely different) and maybe two of them won't work with the new kit anyway.
I would not recommend this supplier. Poor service, poorly packaged goods and, who knows, maybe even worse to come!
Arrived within time scale well packaged and good instructions. Would use and recommend to others. Installed for a week without any problems so far. On bad weather signal weak and may need aerial.
Well packaged. Timely delivery. Very impressed with the robust engineering. Followed the instructions and it all went together very well. Lots of extra help with torque and speed settings but I just pressed the button and it worked fine straight out of the box.
I would recommend the company to anyone.
The unit i bought which is an intercom and gate opener is good value for money. Delivery was in good time.
However the wiring diagram was incorrect which caused me some issues. I had to work out what was wrong and I told them when i had found out but they didn't seem to be too bothered and referred me to another company. Pity as this took the shine off what was otherwise a good experience.
Thanks for the swift response to this post. I would still recommend your company and have changed my rating to 4 stars. I also contacted the manufacturer of the relay but they weren't interested in resolving the problem.

We spoke to GateMotors for a little advice before purchasing. They were very helpful. The gate opener arrived within 2 days, with emails and texts telling us what day and almost what time it would be delivered! Fantastic!
We had a few questions during fitting and they were helpful, even called us back!
The instructions are very comprehensive, showing an interest in really wanting to help you understand the information for fitting.
All in all - a professional company to deal with. Very pleased with the service from GateMotors, and certainly would recommend.
Now Hoping the gate opener works for many years to come!

The Nylon Bush SBU22 was worn and for me it was impossible to find the spare part until I discovered GateMotors.co.uk. It was easy to disassemble the motor and change the old bush. Now my Gate Opener works again.
i found them on the internet, good website, lots of information and easily accessible. i called several times to get advice and the staff were very friendly, helpful and patient. i bought a system and delivery was good and the product very good.
Bought a replacement Aster 5ti motor for my gate following my original unit sustaining damage. The sales staff were helpful, however took a little prompting to sale a cheaper recon unit than a new one. Recieved unit following overnight delivery. Recon unit OK except power lead had been cut a little short - suppose disadvantage of buying recon'd.
You get what you pay for!
I needed instructions from a kit fitted 5 yrs ago I was getting no where on the internet, I stumbled on this company in minutes they sent me a PDF file of full instructions without the ''you didn't purchase from us sorry can't help '' or a cost!! This company helped without knowing about the tragedy that we needed these gates to work for ( access of family coffin ), also I purchased a recent part from them it arrived within 2 days , so I totally recommend this helpful , quick, customer first company, many thanks.
