I wanted to order a pair of North Face walking boots, as I live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands I made a call to Gear Zone due to the fact that we do not pay VAT in Guernsey, I managed to order the boots over the phone and get the VAT taken of the boots.
My boots arrived in only a few days, unfortunatly they were a bit tight, so I returned them asking for a larger size. The second pair turned up in about a week.

First of all I like to say I am not an employee of Gear Zone and until last week I knew nothing of this company.
I spent many hours searching though the web for a pair of gloves to keep my hands warm and dry whilst out hiking. I have bought two or three pairs of gloves in the past and all failed to keep my hands warm and none of them fulfilled any of the claims that the manufacturers make.
Eventually, after looking at scores of customer reviews I discovered Black Diamond that actually make gloves and mittens that keep your hands warm in sub-zero temps. Although more expensive than the gloves you buy in high street shops, these are the top-end of the market and are serious gear for the explorer.
Once I decided that Black Diamond Mercury Mitts were for me I spent hours looking for the best supplier, comparing prices as well as quality of service. One website that stood out from the crowd was Gear Zone which caught my eye. Why? Here's why:
Good Website
What attracted me initially to Gear Zone was the bright, well-designed, user friendly website. I was impressed by the clear layout which looks far better than the other websites which I looked at that specialise in this kind of gear. I liked the look and feel with the white background and clear text which is easy to read and a pleasure to navigate around. Straight away you get the feeling this company is honest and up-front.
Highest Integrity
Anyone can see from the reviews that Gear Zone pro-actively attend to the very few disappointed customers (there's not many!) Unlike some companies which do very litte to make amends, Gear Zone go out of their way to address any possible problem. No stone is is left unturned in their goal to provide a satisfactory service. If only all companies were like this.
Value for Money
I was very pleased to save more than £15 off the recommended retail price for the Black Diamond Mercury Mitts. I was also impressed with free postage.
Good Returns Policy
Although I could have bought my gloves slightly cheaper at another website, I chose Gear Zone because they have a 30 day no-quibble returns policy. Also I felt that this is a company you can trust.
Fast Delivery
I ordered the Black Diamond Mercury Mitts on Tuesday evening and received them in the post on Thursday afternoon. They were well packaged and the Mitts were in excellent order. A no-quibble returns form was enclosed with the goods, clear and simple. I was very pleased with my purchase which is a quality product and matches the description provided by Gear Zone exactly.
Highly Recommended
Honesty, fairness, integrity, responsiveness, value for money, reliability, always looking out to satisfy the customer - Gear Zone certainly ticks all the right boxes! These are the qualities we all look for. I would most certainly use Gear Zone again and will recommend this website to my friends. Well done!

ordered what i thought would be a set of dumbells for just over £13 including PP
When my product arrived it only had one dumbell in the box which i found strange so i rang up your company and asked where the other one was and was told they are sold separately which is such a con. This was not mentioned anywhere when i was buying this product, who in there right mind would buy just one dumbell. I think you do this so that people will think they are getting a good offer and then have to buy the other one because they have payed so much for PP. You must get complaints all the time. I will make a note not to use your company again. So i have brought a lovely set from Argos for £15.99 FOR 2 dumbells because they are sold as a set.

Admittedly the description of the Neoprene Dumbbell was not exactly crystal clear on the quantity supplied, with the title listing a singular dumbbell and the image showing two. I have now fixed this to avoid ambiguity in the future. Yours is the first complaint to have reached me about this, which is why it hadn't been fixed earlier...we do take complaints seriously and wherever possible we won't make them twice!
I can of course, say that the idea we'd do this to annoy customers into buying a second pair hadn't crossed our minds; I rather suspect that I'd just be forever writing apologies on emails and Trustpilot. ;-)

Ordered on Monday, received on Thursday. The bag itself is fantastic as a holdall/suitcase for travels. Only gripe is the side pockets on the outside are too shallow to hold anything securely.
Ordered one walking pole then decided to order another. Website said I couldnt combine the orders. So paid two lots of p&p but they actually arrived in one package. Would have been nice if I was only charged one lot of p&p.

Currently our website doesn't allow amendment of orders by customers, although we can of course do it manually from our end should we become aware of it via either customer contact or our team using their good ol' fashioned eyes; but in this case it slipped through the net without us realising, we're really sorry.
Unfortunately it looks like we were extremely efficient in processing your order quickly , but didn't clock that perhaps it would've been wise to waive one of the P&P charges.
I have now refunded one of the P&P charges, it should show in your account next week.

I have ordered an outdoor jacket from Gear Zone, which arrived fast no errors. This is the item I wanted and I'm a happy customer.
I saw this jacket on sale in a local shop but they didn't have my size so I decided to look on line. I was very surprised to find exactly the same item and it was £12 cheaper too. It arrived in no time and I am delighted with it...result!
My order came within the time specified. Well packaged with info on returning if necessary. The item was perfect. I would recommend the company and the product without hesitation.

Thanks for your review, although I'll clarify a few points if I may, to endeavour to help other users see why you may have awarded us one star!
We spoke several times on the phone last week regarding your order, making a couple of changes changes to it etc., and once all was sorted we agreed to send it to you via Special Delivery to arrive on Friday morning.
Unfortunately it appears that something weird happened and the Royal Mail charged you to collect the (already paid for and franked package). I can only apologise for this, possibly the postage label fell off in transit. In any case we of course offered to refund the cost which had been incurred immediately but you preferred to take the amount in a voucher, which I believe we also sorted immediately and with no fuss or dalliance.
I had rather hoped that other than the (admittedly extremely irritating) issue with the Royal Mail, we'd done a good job with regards to the rest of the order process, and were friendly and helpful during our many conversations.
Once again, my apologies.

Although I had to return the item because it was unsuitable, the service I had from Gear Zone was excellent. Quick delivery, helpful staff when I phoned with a query and no fuss in obtaining a full refund. Would have no hesitation in ordering from them again.

Ordered a Berghaus Paclite jacket, and it arrived extremely quickly.
It was exactly as specified on the website. I would say that there has been "size creep" in outdoor gear. I used to be a large in jackets, but the medium size (despite the sizing guide) is perfect & allows enough room for layers underneath. Trying on a different Berghaus jacket before ording helped me get it right. The price was higher than some other places (e.g. Amazon), but I wanted the 2011 colours. Good shoppied experience.
I have to say that the people I have spoken to at Gear Zone have been pleasant, helpful and entirely puzzled as to why I have not received my tent. The courier company seems to be at fault struggling here in the barren wastelands of Scotland trying to find the postcode address. I apologise to the Royal Mail as I thought it was their delivery service. Nevertheless the fact is that I bought the tent in good faith from Gear Zone and it is now 3.20pm on Wed 2/5/12 and 8 days since placing the order but still no tent. To be fair I said I would give it until 5.15pm today

I'm really sorry to hear that you're having troubles with our courier (not the Royal Mail), I honestly cannot speculate as to why they're unable to find your address because I just tried the postcode and it certainly seems to exist.
From our end of course, we shipped your order within 24 hours of receiving it, on a 24 hour delivery service (which is why you have been charged.)
It appears that after initial contact, you've been dealing with the courier company directly with regards to redelivery of the parcel, as we've no further mention of it on our systems.
Having just spoken to you, hopefully we'll be able to get this resolved asap for you.
