8th April - original order, expected delivery 21st April
15th - 29th April - numerous emails detailing the continued delay of product
9th May - No longer able to wait, I revised my order to another product and had delivery confirmed for 11th May.
15th May - Received online invoice which I paid immediately. Still no news of the delayed delivery.
19th May - Phoned G4M to ask where my parcel is, to discover it is not yet dispatched. Estimated delivery now 22nd May.
23rd May - I discover from the online tracking service UK Mail have been unable to deliver my mail and have returned to depot, with no attempt to contact me (card or phone). I phone G4M to make sure UK Mail have my mobile number so they wont have problems delivering. (Despite the fact no other company has had problems delivering to my address).
24th May - After waiting at home all day next to my mobile, I discover from the online tracking that they have been unable to deliver again. Apparently they tried to call, which I seriously doubt.
24th 19:00 - I am now driving to UK Mail depot myself as I cannot wait until the next available delivery slot on the 28th May.
I have never had so many problems as with this order. What I find most unacceptable is that there has been no attempt at any time to offer compensation for what has been incredibly inconvenient series of delays. Having paid £200 for a high-quality product I would have expected much better customer service. The only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is I understand this was not a deliberate failure, but an unfortunate series of problems.
Gear4music have always been excellent to transact with,any issues or whatever are always gladly listened to and rectified if necessary......and no ! i dont have shares in this company.....but they do excel themselves on service and product value :-)

Well, I ordered a Fender yesterday through PayPal
The order however was sent to the wrong delivery address on PayPal so I called them up, the lady helped me sorted it out very fast by cancelling my PayPal and placed another order with my debit card. The whole process took less than 5mins included waiting time, so considered from a technical point of view as a management student, the company did a great job!!
The guitar was delivered by noon, today!!!
The only problem was my PayPal's order still got delivered to the wrong address, so I hope the crew would pick it up ASAP because it might cause some problem with the residence!!!
I have ordered a number of things from Gear4Music and the service they have provided is very good. Items are usually delivered on time and in perfect condition. The only fault I have is that the quality of their own brand instruments, such as guitars, aren't that great so I would suggest that you buy known branded stuff.
Received my MK-939 Portable Music Keyboard by Gear4music with no Power Adapter which should be included, so unfortunately I cannot test the product yet. Also has a few scratches on the display. I just hope once my power adapter arrives the keyboard will work great. Other than that it was a fast delivery, but can't even play it yet.

I Was thinking of buying an uke, only had £50 so I went for a mahalo tenor, I was about to pay for it when I saw this beautiful vintage electric uke for just £39 plus a 4 year warranty for a fiver which in fact was the one I bought. when I received the parcel and opened it I was amazed withe the quality an the sound it had and I knew then that I had gone for the best uke.
I've been thinking about trying a compressor pedal in my guitar rig for quite a while now. Then I had the bright idea of buying a cheap one rather than spending a fortune on something that I might use once or twice then leave in a lonely corner to gather dust. I read the description of the Behringer CS400 pedal and decided it had the right features and more importantly, the right price. I then shot myself in the foot because I decided to use the money I'd saved to buy a couple of G4Ms own brand instrument cables. There's logic there somewhere!
The compressor pedal exceeded all my expectations. It was dirt cheap, sounds great, and it's extremely well built. Result! And I have to say the same for the guitar leads. I wasn't expecting much from them, but they're well made, nicely packaged, and they're very quiet when plugged in. And I mean that in a good way!
Delivery was very, very fast. Ordered on Friday. Making a noise with the equipment on Monday. Just as it should be!
Now that I've tried G4M with a small order, I won't hesitate to buy better and more expensive equipment from them in the future.

Brilliant service, a confirmation text message is a lovely touch of added communication, I bought a guitar stomp box because it was the best price online. Only flaw is that like many UK shops their price of postage to Northern Ireland is wrong. Realising this I opted for the cheaper service and received my order the next working day so can't complain! Great seller.
I ordered several items of PA equipment, including a pair of speakers and a Behringer 300W powered mixer on Tuesday morning 30th April and requested delivery on Friday 3rd May. I received confirmation of the order. I then received a phone call to say that in fact, the mixer would not be available until June. As I needed the equipment on 4th May, I was forced to re-order the mixer, so I elected for a "300W PA System with DSP Mixer & Speakers", which meant the speakers originally ordered were no longer required. The following day, 1st May, unannounced, an attempt was made to deliver the system while I was unavailable and it was then re-delivered on 2nd May. The system was not as described - it was a 150W system with significantly less connectability than advertised, and certainly less that I required. I phoned G4M who undertook to have the 150W system picked up and I then had to re-order and pay again for the 300W system I had originally ordered. The unsatisfactory system was collected and the re-ordered system arrived today (3rd May). It is an identical 150W system, not the 300W system I have now paid for twice. So, did G4M fail to examine their product (they have 71 still in stock, excluding the two I have foolishly ordered) before writing an entirely misleading product description, or did they write the description knowing that it is inaccurate? Either way, it seems that you cannot rely on what G4M say on their website.
I purchased a guitar on the Tuesday night nothing too fancy as I am learning to play I was told in my confirmation email it would be delivered two days later. The Thursday morning rolled around and at 10:00am the package was delivered and was packaged and as described on the website.... I believe alot of the negative comments on this review site are down to logistics problems and not so much the company itself. Couldn't fault this company in any way shape or form.
Honestly, this is an excellent and quality service. They provide amazing quality guitars I just bought the Yamaha TG121UBL Tourgear Electric Guitar Starter Pack. As I am just starting, and it was fast, efficient and cheap. I would extremely recommend this website and service!
From previous experiences , Gear4Music customers are not allowed to buy online and collect from the shop eve if, like me, they live just 5 minutes away by car.
And expensive items can't be redirected to a work address, say "for security reasons", we're told.
Yet my £400 package was left all day in an unsecure location so that anyone could have taken it, as indeed I suspected they had and nearly required police involvement and an insurance claim before I could get a replacement sent.
Not an experience I want to risk repeating.
I was checking through my previous orders with Gear4Music and everytime, they send me e-mails to make sure everything is correctly, as so I know and so they do they, never had any problems with deliveries and any time I have spoken to any of the staff they always seem helpful, been ordering from them for 5 years and I'm still happy with every purchase! Oh yeaaaaah.

I had a slight issue with the delivery address but how swift they fixed it, i don't understand, because of that, I was expecting my Guitar to arrive in perhaps 4 days, I was socked to receive it the next morning, and I love my sleep but i couldn't sleep any more because of how excited and impressed I was. All am trying to say is, the item was delivered as expected and in perfect condition. I don't think services get any better than that. thank you gear4, and keep up the good work, you just might sock someone else like you did me.
These guys have impressed me every order I have made (about 5 so far). Very quick and relaible delivery service (of course part of this is due to the courier guys themselves. In my experience some courier companies, and people within courier companies of course, are better than others).
Always impressed when you can order one day and it arrives the next for a standard delivery charge.

I ordered an Inuke 3000 amp in March which was due for delivery on 3rd April, complete with extra warranty.
We are now at the 14th April and I have just had my second email advising delivery is delayed, no reason is given. Coincidentally, I notice the price is now greater than the original price plus warranty.
We ordered an electric guitar and all stuff needed. I had a question, so during ordering I tried to phone them. Phonenumber did not work from of The Netherlands. So I sent them an e-mail to ask them their telephonenumber. They have not replied untill today.
Ordering process: it is promised that you can fill in a delivery adress, different from the invoice address. That did not work. So, after you have ordered and you have paid, you find out that you are not able to fill in another delivery address. Working with computers and programs the whole day, we managed to change the deliveryaddress during the processing of the order.
The package arrived at the promised day. That's good. But what a bad carton they had used! I have considered to refuge the delivery. Damage around all over the box. Our son would not have been happy... I decided to accept the package.
Products: amp / guitar connection makes a lot of noise. Cheaper than expected.
Will we recommend Gear4Music? Mwahhhh.
Update: connection cable between guitar and amp was damaged. Matthew Kirk wrote us that we would receive a new one. Which they have sent immediately. Which we received very swift. Positive note: it was a better quality than the original supplied one, so there was much less noise and rumble at the amp. Small issue: they managed to mix partsof the invoice address and the delivery address. Lucky us that it arrived anyway...
After buying a ex demo flute 4 my 6 year old on express delivery it didn't arrive untill 2 days later! Had it 3 weeks to b told the pads was no good.. Told it was being collected on the Tuesday wasn't collected untill the Thursday and told i would b sent a new flute by return of post a week and 2 days later still no flute!!! Endless phone calls have been made costing a fortune!! Needless to say I will never be using them again!!!! Very poor service
I am so impressed with Gear 4 Music ,for the second time this week I have purchased a guitar from them .Amazing value on both instruments ,incredible quality of both and in house brands too.The delivery was as stated ,how do they do it ! I have recomended G4M to my friends and will in future to anyone .I have never been more pleased with a company or thier products ,I have been playing 50 years owned most of the well known makes ,still do .
Went online and bought a guitar amp, slide , dvd and picks. Got an instant order update and tracking tool ... Tracked it and it arrived as expected on the right day. No issues at all ...Very good and very easy process.
The guitar is fine and as expected and fairly cheap too. The courier was a very nice bloke and polite too.
So i would use them again anytime at all. I fancy one of their Fender Acoustic Giutars next and have no worries using them again.
I placed my order at 02/04 for a (difficult to find at this moment) midi controller to be delivered to Greece.
Customer support resolved instanlty an availability issue that appeared and the item dispatched at 04/04 with est delivery date 10/04.
The controller arrived earlier(!) at 08/04 at Athens and i pick it up at 09/04. Extremely fast shipping! Well packaged parcel , well tracked and incredible controller!Very very pleased with the product quality and the customer service which helped me with many emails.

I have been musician for 20+ years and have purchased equipment from almost
every major dealer in the EU and North America. I placed a small order with
Gear4music.ie (having seen a amp head that was priced fairly low) and received a email informing me that since I am not a UK resident my credit card order couldn't
be checked using their "anti-fraud system" ? They asked me to email them copies of my passport/drivers license and credit card bills, which I have NEVER been asked from any other company in the world, <external link removed> etc. I have ordered entire pallets of studio equipment from Germany and the UK in the past with no problem at all.
So, if your looking for great customer service and a company with
a "Anit-fraud system" that is capable of processing an order from such a distant and far away land as Ireland, I would recommend almost any other music dealer
in the EU before Gear4music.
I've used Gear4Music three times now (Once for a Bass guitar, twice for MIDI controllers) and each time they've delivered on time, and the product has always been dealt with carefully. Also, in comparison to many places online, they are incredibly good value - Especially with their "VIP Club" and with the frequent sales they have. Would always recommend them to anybody.

I was told to check out a Hofner Verythin guitar as I suffer from a back problem and my old Strat was way too heavy. I found that Gear4music had one in stock and after a price comparison had the best deal with a five year warranty and a sixty day money back offer..........perfect. The guitar was ordered and arrived when I was told it would arrive. The ordering service was fast, well tracked and delivered bang on time, well packaged and in perfect condition.
I bought a Squier (Fender) Bullet HSS electric guitar...these have been slated by certain guitar shops but quite frankly it has the same features, quality, light perfect balance and fabulous versatile rich, smooth sound you only usually get from high end guitars.
It arrived well set up, in almost perfect tune with the full tool kit. 2 minutes with an electro tuner and it was ready to go.
You pick it up and it instantly screams 'play me!' and damn does it play! Smooth, fast and so wonderfully clear. Holds its tune perfectly, beautifully balanced and shaped and lightened to perfectly to fit the player. I have checked it with a laser and micrometer (out of curiosity) and the strings are perfectly equidistant from each other,and the neck,and the neck is dead straight and flat!
Don't worry about buying these guitars from the East, as damn can those Indonesians make a high quality axe!!!! If I was Fender (USA) I'd either be worried or relabelling fast!!! Deeeeeeeeeelighted!!!!!!!!
The Gear4music.com service cannot be faulted! It was fast - came two days after I ordered! - and was exactly on time! I ordered an Epiphone Les Paul electric guitar + strap and picks, and it came really fast! The packaging was great, the guitar was really protected, with no damage at all! Gear4music.com was cheap, and had the biggest range of instruments and equipment I have EVER seen!

My new PRS SE Santana Electric Guitar, Santana Yellow arrived this week and its perfect. This guitar was much cheaper than the next best price on the internet and I was thinking their might be some fault with the guitar, but it is pristine, no set up required other than a slight tuning. I have been using Gear4Music for almost 3 years now (basically since I moved to the UK) so far they have been very consistent in their service and have an excellent range of products. I only had one time a product that failed within a week: no questions asked, immediately received replacement!
So far I cannot find any reason why I would want to switch to another seller.
I ordered a brilliant cheap guitar from this site not only is it great value it looks brilliant but I got it in just one day I was emailed with details of my order going through and I was emailed and texted as soon as the order had been dispatched and I was also given all the tracking information which came in handy I spoke to them with a query regarding the order and they answered to the best of their ability they are a brilliant site with some great guitars I really recommend the semi Acoustic guitars which you can find by typing in semi acoustic in the search box great value brilliant
I needed a complete PA system, but wasn't sure what would work best for parts of it, so I visited the shop in York. They put me on to Ash, who is friendly, patient, helpful and above all he knows his stuff. He made sure I got gear which would do the job without spending really silly money. This guy is a star.
I ordered the whole lot, mics, mixer, speakers, cables etc. That was at 14:30 on a Thursday. The next day, Friday, a TNT courier arrived at 10:30 with the complete order - nothing missing, nothing damaged - and this in spite of overnight snow.
Just finished setting up and testing and can't find any faults. You don't often get service like this; top marks to G4M AND TNT.

Item 1. Ordered a guitar amplifier on monday nextday delivery,in all day tuesday waiting and never arrived.When I phoned the courier service UKMail they had no idea whether my stuff was in still in there main depot or my local depot.Wednesday I called them and they said they would get back to me in 15 minutes.4 HOURS later i got fed up and called again at which time they informed me the item was lost and it was MY job to call Gear4Music and sort ot out ! Fearing nothing would be done if I didn't I called and they said another would be dispatched express AM for Thursday.Why had nobody emailed or called me to let me know there was a problem?Waste of my time.
Item 2. Once again waited in all Thursday as 'there's no way we can give an estimated delivery time' and nothing turned up,called them again and they said it hadn't even been dispatched! Furious on Friday when looking at the parcel tracker online said it had been sent to Bristol misrouted instead of Cardiff ! Called them again and was told they would call me in 15mins shock it didn't happen,at boiling point called them to speak to manager they told it would be delivered MONDAY! As there wasn't enough time to get it to me '11 o'clock on friday morning??' out of the blue a knock at the door and some random guy in a un marked white van handed me my amp?? They didnt even know the parcel had left Bristol.And had paid some random dude to deliver as they are so incompetent to do it themselves.
Im not a dramatic person and never usually bother leaving lengthy bad reviews.In fairness this may not be Gear4musics fault but they need to get a grip of the courier. If want very late parcels, no communication from seller or courier,expense on your phone bill and to waste alot of your time then crack on. I will never use this company or courier again.
