Item 1. Ordered a guitar amplifier on monday nextday delivery,in all day tuesday waiting and never arrived.When I phoned the courier service UKMail they had no idea whether my stuff was in still in there main depot or my local depot.Wednesday I called them and they said they would get back to me in 15 minutes.4 HOURS later i got fed up and called again at which time they informed me the item was lost and it was MY job to call Gear4Music and sort ot out ! Fearing nothing would be done if I didn't I called and they said another would be dispatched express AM for Thursday.Why had nobody emailed or called me to let me know there was a problem?Waste of my time.
Item 2. Once again waited in all Thursday as 'there's no way we can give an estimated delivery time' and nothing turned up,called them again and they said it hadn't even been dispatched! Furious on Friday when looking at the parcel tracker online said it had been sent to Bristol misrouted instead of Cardiff ! Called them again and was told they would call me in 15mins shock it didn't happen,at boiling point called them to speak to manager they told it would be delivered MONDAY! As there wasn't enough time to get it to me '11 o'clock on friday morning??' out of the blue a knock at the door and some random guy in a un marked white van handed me my amp?? They didnt even know the parcel had left Bristol.And had paid some random dude to deliver as they are so incompetent to do it themselves.
Im not a dramatic person and never usually bother leaving lengthy bad reviews.In fairness this may not be Gear4musics fault but they need to get a grip of the courier. If want very late parcels, no communication from seller or courier,expense on your phone bill and to waste alot of your time then crack on. I will never use this company or courier again.
I bought a sound recorder for great price,but didnt get delivered when should of,checked tracking which said undelivered due to unknown address,they tried a number of times,then when checked i found (me being a plank) that i gave an old work address that had been demolished,i called back and appoligised with correct address and they sent another for next day delivery without asking for more money for postage which arrived bang on time,so A1 customer service and would recommend any one to use,as would def buy from them again ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My latest purchase with Gear4music, a digital drum kit arrived the next day, they always have given a super fast service and keep me informed along the way. The goods under their own brand name are high quality, plus there are the big brand names. This is one company I wouldn't hesitate to reccoment to anyone, a real 5 star service.

Ordered PM on Thursday, it arrived PM Friday via standard post!!!!!!! That's fast.
Greatly impressed by the quality of the product, far far better than what they described. ( there's more padding to the cases than they implied).
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Bought Tascam DP-006 6 channel recorder placing order at 1.38 on Thursday afternoon. Just before 9.00am the following day a knock on the door announced it's arrival. Spectacular performance. On the basis of this experience cannot fault.
I can't fault either the product or service, I had tried to order a similar item with other sites only to be told that they were out of stock after paying or delays in delivery.with Gear4Music the ordering process was excellent, being convenient, accurate and set up to help not hinder, making it an all round pleasant transaction. An very much appreciated feature was the choice of delivery date, something that everyone should adopt. Well done Gear4Music.
First bought a Ibanez Guitar off Gear 4 Music, Brilliant guitar, arrived on time and also came with a free stand which was handy.
Second Bought a Electronic drum kit made by Gear4Music, Nice drum kit, And Arrived on time. Then the kick drum sensor went inside it, even though i have learnt and always played heel down , so i bought a Yamaha KP65 Kick Pad to replace it, it was supposed to arrive on the 12/2/2013 which i had booked off work so i could see in the delivery myself, i had also booked off today 13/02/2013 just in case it came a day late, it is now 8:00pm and still no delivery and i doubt it will come. This has pissed me off as i have had to spend 2 days at home waiting for this, I got an email on the 12/02/2013 saying it was being "out for delivery" at 06:03:11am, and again on the 13/02/2013 at 05:50:12am, and yet nothing.
So now i am not going to be able to see/sign in the delivery when it comes, neither will my parents because they will be at work.
I ordered a guitar and amp off this site, and payed for next day delivery.
They were supposed to arrive on 6th Marth, but they did not arrive. The guitar arrived on 8th March, and the amp was still delayed. It was supposed to arrive on 11th March but it is the 12th now and it still hasnt arrived.
I sent an email to them and was promised a reply within one working day - didnt happen.
Bottom line is, don't use this company, I'd rather pay a lot more to someone else rather than give these guys one more penny.
I am so angry. My item should be here on 7.3., they changed it to 13.3. and today it should be 18.3. What it will be tomorrow? I bought another two items and the same thing is happening. They surely do not have it in stock and make me wait for months :(
I was looking for Squier Bass. I stumbled upon gear4music.com and found it to be the cheapest price. Ordered on the Wednesday night and delivered Monday morning to Spain Mallorca! Brilliant service and I won't hesitate to order again or recommend to all my friends here in Spain.

Because I live near the actual store in York I asked to collect in person. Problems with fraud won't allow this (understandably) so they refunded my credit card, left my guitar on order and I just had to pay in person by chip and pin with my card when I collected. Thank you for great service.
Order was good, quick delivery, but the drum set turned up without the snare drum. Made a call on Saturday and the lady said I would receive the snare drum on Tuesday, it didn't turn up. Callled them back on Tuesday, lady said sorry, the drum will be with you on Wednesday. So Wednesday received delivery from them, but it was not a snare drum. It turned out to be a drum head only. So my husband called them again on Wednesday, spoke to a gent this time, he said sorry, and we will get a snare drum out to you by Friday. Today is Friday. The snare drum has arrived but with a part missing. My husband has called them and left a message. So I am not sure if it is acceptable for us to say its a good drum (we almost have all of it) but the service has been bad. My sons birthday was on the Saturday, and a week later we are still receiveing wrong or incomplete parts of his present.
Delivered as quickly as promised. The amp didn't work. Customer service was good, offered me several different ways of sorting this out and we agreed on a collection and refund. However, they had the UKmail collect it on a different day than we agreed on without letting me know. I only got to know about this because the UKmail had an issue with my address and telephone number (I don't know why because they had no problem with delivering the amp) and gear4music sent me an email (with some weird grammar) that indirectly implied that the delivery was on that day.

Although I believe changing the date was inappropriate, the overall experience was acceptable.
I was very angry about a messed up delivery due last Friday and wrote a very cross review. However, I have to say Gear4Music were great. They let me go and collect the item from their store, said they would sort out the return of the undelivered item and even, by the time I had driven home, had refunded my delivery costs. So I cannot fault the staff here - very helpful, efficient, pleasant. The couriers, on the other hand ......
Anyway, just off to order something else for another grandchild, that's how pleased I was with their response to my complaints. I wonder if the courier will mess up this time! Not placing any bets on correct delivery day!
I ordered a piano stool and found Gear4music to be the best value. I wasn't sure what to expect as i was buying at the bottom of the price point for my item. However, i ordered Weds night and it arrived Friday Lunch. It looks good and was a breeze to assemble. I am very happy with Gear4Music and wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Good information about my order, an amazingly fast delivery to Sweden, and I felt very comfortable, with the bargain (purchase), from order to delivery.

Absolutely faultless, ordered an amplifier cabinet on Monday evening, and by 10am Wednesday morning, it was here as promised with no charge for the delivery! Only one thing i would mention, is that it might be an idea to consider finance options, as i know some other suppliers offer, but all in all, i would definately recommend them and will no doubt be using you again!

My first purchase was a practice pad from Gear4music which was priced well and it arrived the next day. I then decided to buy an electronic drum set and after two or three calls for information took the advice given by Lawrie and purchased a Roland TD11 V drum kit which arrived quickly and was perfect for what I wanted. Shortly after this I purchased a Mapex hi hat with Zildjian ZBT cymbals, again on the strength of their recommendation, again exactly right. Gera4music is a good company to deal with, the people there are good and helpful and they have good couriers. I would say that you can buy with confidence from this company, 10 out of 10 so far.
Over the past few years I've been using this company for quite a bit of music equipment and I have to say I could not be happier. The true test of a retailer is not how well they sell you something, but how well they sort out any problems you may have, and I can honestly say that recently, on two occasions I had problems with some equipment I'd bought from them, it was not their fault in any way, sealed boxes from the manufacturer that turned out to have faulty products inside. Gear4music were so helpful, so professional, they keep you updated with progress and all of this is on top of the fact they sell high quality product at the best prices. Anyone having a bad experience with this company must be either unreasonable or stupid. I could not be more happy, and I would always use them as my first option, even if their price was a little higher (highly unlikely I know). I love their customer service - they are technically competent (strangely unusual these days) and always helpful, the products are of high quality too.
My only real criticism is how slow the delivery can be sometimes, but this seems to be due to them ordering in on demand. Even with that though, I strongly recommend them to anyone - they're my "go to" for musical needs now.
I ordered the Deluxe Round Back Guitar and 15W Amp Pack in blue to "get back into playing the guitar" as I hadn't played in a long time, the order was delivered to me well package and within 2 days of the order being placed, when I checked the inventory I noticed that one of the spare strings was missing, I contacted Gear4music, they responded within a few hours and have sent me a full set of spare strings, so top marks from me on customer service, the guitar itself is exactly what I had been looking for a nice tone and easy on my now soft fingers it is also easy on the eye, the rest of the kit that came with it was a bonus. I will defo buy from Gear4music again
I ordered a Yamaha drum amp over Christmas and Gear4music were awaiting deliveries from Yamaha - their forecast delivery date reflected that. I received emails telling me the delivery date had been changed well in advance of the forecast date. The emails did not specify the new date and therefore the last one did not give me the good news that delivery had been brought forward! They did tell me when it was packed for despatch and gave me alink to track the package. The price beat everybody hands down so the wait was worth it.
I ordered a mixer from Gear4music before Christmas and they kept us updated of when it would arrive etc and it was dead on time. I then ordered a microphone and shock mount and it was due to arrive today and it did. Easy and secure to pay and excellent choice of couriers. UK Mail were outstanding and their tracking system works perfectly,
