I've ordered something from giggear that was on my boyfriends Christmas list. I placed the order quickly and smoothly using their website. I had a phone call the next day asking me to confirm the correct delivery address as it was slightly confusing. I confirmed and the parcel arrived the following day. Very pleasant and efficient service. Parcel was well packaged and product priced competitively.
Very irritated to be honest.
I opted to do the payment plan online to buy a left handed mahogany Taylor GS Mini, the guitar was listed as in stock and I paid a generous deposit and went to the trouble of setting up the monthly direct debit payment plan only to receive a phone call an hour later to be told it wasn't in stock!?
What is most annoying is that I have tried to buy the guitar elsewhere but cannot get approval with the payment plan via other companies clearly because the one I took with GigGear is registered / causing problems because of the cancellation.
Not impressed at all as there will now be a long and inconvenient delay to obtain the guitar I wanted. Furthermore, I now have to wait for my deposit to be refunded so will be without the money until this is given back.
Absolute joke, should not list out of stock items and DEFINITELY not let customers pay deposits and create payment plans for items they don't even have!
I was informed that they would have the item back in stock mid January which of course is not good enough and I'm not at all amused.
Easy to order from site . Delivery was spot on but I thought that the postage was a little excessive . Two packs of strings in one parcel ( 66p postage stamp ) and I was charged over £3 . double postage .
I had been looking at new Les Paul 2012 standard for a few months and decided to give Gig Gear a call as they had the model and colour in stock for next day delivery and I didn't want to wait weeks as some sellers were quoting. I got through to Rob Evans who was excellent. Robs knowledge and service were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and everything I asked was answered comprehensively with no pressure. There was a real emphasis on my choice and my decision and what suited my needs. It Was very reassuring and call backs that were promised were delivered by all staff and they kept me informed and even chased delivery after hours. The Guitar arrived next day free of charge and was exactly as seen and described and it's a belter!
These guys know their onions and how to keep and build custom. They really seem to understand that it's not just the product it's the whole experience the customer wants. Thats what impressed me and gained them a new account as my go to online music store. Don't hesitate all the positive reviews are on here are with good reason. The products price and service are second to none!
Gig Gear have an amazing range in their store and online - I found the perfect birthday present for the bf! They even called me up to tell me try didn't hav any new stock of the product I wanted and let me know a new delivery date. It still came very quick!! Very please with the service at Gig Gear - been to their store in Harlow a few times now as well and staff are always very friendly funny and helpful. Thank you!
We bought our son his first guitar from Gig Gear last year an Ibanez for about £175. For Christmas/birthday this year he begged us for a Les Paul and after the great, friendly service we'd received at Gig Gear we wnet back for more.
I can't thank the guys there enough for their help and patience. They made my 13 year old feel really valued as a customer - really indulged him and let him twang away on every guitar he asked to look at.
It was so nice to deal with genuine, knowledgable people who really wanted to help him make the right choices.
The next day I ordered a small amp on line and again the service was excellent - delivered next day!

Ordered a Gibson Guitar Care Kit from GigGear at 11.36 am on Monday 12/11/2012 and received my delivery on Tuesday morning 13/11/2012!
The Gibson Guitar Care Kit is an excellent product and the price was good, but there can't be many companies who can boast such an outstanding delivery service and I will certainly be shopping with GigGear againn in the future.
Ordered Steinberger Synapse Custom via their website thinking they are UK based so should get it quicker. After i placed my order i phoned them up only to be told the guitar has to be ordered direct from Gibson in the USA. So a bit aggrieved i said ok. Two weeks later i ring them up to see whats happening & am told 'we're waiting for Gibson to get back to us' .Then next day i ring them again & they tell me Gibson have told them the Trans Blue is now discontinued! So ive cancelled the order & brought one from THORMANN in Germany. They say it'll be at my door in two days-& its cheaper than GigGear.
My product was a preorder only made available after a very long delay, the regular posts and updates informed to me by phone call were very reassuring!
I'd highly recommend giggear.co.uk not only based on their product quality but for also the fantastic customer service!

Competitive prices on a very good range of stock. I bought a hardcase for my son's guitar at a good price and delivery cost - which comes next day delivery as standard. The hardcase arrived as planned the next day but unfortunately had been damaged . Great customer service as the following day a replacement was ordered and came the next day... In perfect condition.
Ordered an Epiphone AJ220 acoustic guitar on line and delivered in quick time. Great guitar, securely packaged and set up beautifully. No hesitation in recommending GigGear and Epiphone, a great partnership.
I saw what I wanted on their web site and set up my account. Ordered the item I wanted before 3pm on Friday afternoon. My purchase arrived as promised by courier just after midday. The package was well presented and secure and easy to identify. My only thoughts are that now I've got one of these useful items the other band members will want to borrow it - they'll just have to order their own!
I have not placed many orders with GigGear but those I have have been dealt with promptly. Should there be a problem, i.e. out of stock or waiting for stock, they send an email informing you as to when they anticipate stocks will be available. I have never had any problems dealing with GigGear and I would definitely recommend them to friends.

My Husband was seeking a "Pearl drum pedal" for his birthday. We were looking on-line, at "Giggear".....and came across the pedal he required. Some questions came to mind so he phoned the guy's at the shop, immediatly he was put in contact with a Drum technician......This chap certainly new his stuff. After he had been grilled by my hubby, He orderd the pedal and advised us that the pedal may take 5 to 6 working day's to come through. 5 Day's later it arrived.....Thank you, A very happy Customer.
I bought the squier vintage modified jaguar bass and it's a beautiful thing! I chose Giggear mainly because of the finance options and, although it was a week from order to delivery, I was very pleased with the service and even more impressed with the bass. It's 'set up' out of the box was really good, it was pretty much in tune and the action is fairly light which is perfect for a part-time bassist like me. I'd definitely recommend Giggear and will buy from them again.
I bought a Fender Mexican Telecaster with an internal Roland GK3 pickup installed in the Giggear workshop.
The guitar was ordered in quickly and the work carried out pretty quickly. Their tech is the best at fitting these internal pickups and made a fantastic job in hiding as much as possible.
It came fully setup guitar wise and the Roland pickup was setup to perfection.
Highly recommended for good gear prices etc and for excellent workshop installations and setups too.
Just wanted to say how happy I was with the service I got from the GigGear team. I ordered an Epiphone Sheraton and a Fender Mustang 3 amp. Both had to be ordered in but I was kept informed of progress. Once they were in store, I was contacted by phone and they were dispatched the same day and I received them the following day. Can't say fairer than that, a great service all round.
I ordered a Gibson Les Paul Studio in ebony on a wednesday afternoon, maybe an hour after ordering i received a phone call from giggear explaining the guitar was out of stock and asking if would i like to cancel my order, wait (possibly 4 months due to manufacture) or change my order. I asked what options i had for changing my order, still wanting a Gibson Les Paul, around the same price and as close to the Studio specs as possible. The help and advice i received was brilliant, being both informative (down to listing specs and describing picups, sound etc..) and helpful in so much as i could place another order that same day.
I felt i could ask questions without feeling i was being a nuisance, causing any bother or generally wasting their time, which is something i've NEVER experienced when dealing with guitar sales people before and i've dealt with an awful lot over the years I've been playing, often never returning to the store ever again having been made to feel unimportant and that my custom doesn't really matter.
The shipping was extremely fast (next day. shipped Thurs morning arrived Fri lunch).
I would highly recommend giggear to anyone and will definitely return to them again in the future.

OK, so it was only guitar strings but... they were great value (buy one get one free) and I received them the next day... doesn't get much better than that. I have purchased other items from GigGear in the past and can not remember ever having a problem with them. As long as they maintain their current service and pricing competitiveness then they will always be my first port of call.
Probably 3rd(?) time of using GigGear, so I know the great service & good prices are normal for this company.
Product was out of stock at time of ordering but it still got here pretty speedy :)
