i ordered an item in november 2013, after long delays waiting i rang them and when they finally answer the phone they said they had supplier issues and that was the reason for delays,being the busy time of year i trusted this and continued to wait....and wait..... and wait, this was a christmas present for my mum but as the wait times were so long we had to get something else, after christmas i got my partner to call, the response to him was the same, there had been supplier issues and we will send you a refund in the next 3 working days, its now febuary and still nothing, Gill and Ray you are liars and are not to be trusted THIS COMPANY GILLYGIFTS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED
I ordered a Border Fine Art for a Christmas gift, the item arrived in good time, and was very well pacakged. Communication with the company was excellent. I would recommened this company and will definately make future purchases.
Received item within 3 days which is excellent for free delivery at such a busy time of year. Would definitely recommend and will look to buy in the very near future. It's great to support a family business too in these tough times.
I have used this company on many occasions and, having looked at some of the reviews from other customers, I cannot believe they are talking about the same company. Of course I can only speak from my own experience but I have always found the service excellent, with very little delay and always carefully packaged. I have spoken to members of this company at various times and have never had any problems. Quite the reverse, they are always willing to help. I would thoroughly recommend this company.
It seems the owner of this gift shop/site has been let down by employees or helpers not maintaining the business as he'd hoped in support at a difficult time. Although I have no way of knowing the situation for sure, the fact is that when I chose to resolve an unsent order through Paypal, his response was practically immediate, with a polite and apologetic phone call to ask how I would like to resolve, and following this an immediate full refund.
terrible company,they never return your calls or emails.when u do manage to speak to someone there is always excuses and promises that never happen.after 6 weeks I cancelled my order and 2 mnths on I still have not received my money back.they shouldn't be aloud to trade .
This company is NOT TO BE TRUSTED. Run by the Beresford family whose track record is appalling as company directors etc. They will take your money but you don't get the goods or a refund. I don't understand why credit card companies allow these people to take money. It is just another form of theft. Absolutely scandalous. Please take your custom elsewhere, this company is rubbish.
I ordered a speed freak motorbike on the 1st march and the money was taken from my account almost instantly. A week later I called as I had not received it and was told it would take another week, I still didn't receive the bike! I called the company two weeks ago to request a refund which the man on the phone agreed to do and apologised to me. No refund was given so I called again 5 days later and spoke to a man who told me he had issued it and would contact the card company to see what the problem was, he promised to ring me back. I received no call! I asked my husband to call the next day which he did and was told the refund would be with us in 3 working days, this is know the end of the third working day and we still have no been refunded, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
I ordered 3 gifts in mid February but having discovered that they were not going to arrive in time for their intended triplet birthday presents I cancelled the order. After many attempts to contact Gillygifts, I have had actual contact with Ray twice. He promised both times that he would rectify the problem and that I would receive my refund. I am still waiting......
After putting a bad review on here regarding my order, I was contacted. It turned out that the item I had ordered was coming from China and would be another week at least before receiving it. it had already been over a week since the order was placed and the money taken from my account and because it was a gift for someone, I decided to cancel and ask for a refund. I received the money back into my bank account three days later. Although I was disappointed with the initial service owing to no contact from the company, I was relieved to have a full refund.
I ordered two special birthday gifts on behalf of a group of friends. Unfortunately, they were delayed because of the bad weather and when I called to explain that the gifts were to be presented at a dinner, Ray did all he could to ensure that they arrived in time. He also kept me fully updated as to what was happening, and couldn't have been more helpful, despite the circumstances being beyond his control. I wouldn't hesitate to use Gillygifts in the future.
I don't understand all of these negative comments. I had a fantastic service, really helpful and the price was great and had free delivery, I will definitely be using Gilly Gifts again and would recommend them very highly to anyone. You can even ring and ask for help and advice if you need it like I did as was buying a present for my grandma.
As the other posts say, keep well away from this company. I am still trying to get my money back from 13/09/2012. They take the money straight out of your account but then don't have the item in stock.. They are total rubbish. This was going to be a birthday present for my daughter.
Like many others - I ordered my gift - a Christmas present for my mum - on the 26th of November 2012. Money taken straight away. As stated on website delivery within 5 days. I did not receive my gift. I emailed on the 5th and had no reply, I called on the 7th December to be told it was due to come in in the next couple of days. I told them it was a Christmas present.
Nothing came.... rang again on the 13th December to be told it would be definitely in in the next day or so. By now I was getting quite frustrated and quite cross as they had my money and no where on their website did it state that they ordered stock in from bloomin China once they take your money!! Anyway I said if it didn't arrive by the 17th I would be calling to demand a refund so I could by a gift elsewhere, and blow me down my gift arrived on the Saturday before the 15th December.
So my gift arrived but I won't be ordering again from this company in a hurry.
I bought an item from Gilly gifts over a month and a half ago. After 4 emails which were not answered and 3 phone calls I still have got nowhere with this so called 'business'. My first phone conversation was with a nice gentleman who told me that there was low stock on the item but the delivery was due the next day and would be dispatched on the Thursday. Two weeks later, I still had not received anything. Not even an email to explain why. After a second call I asked for a refund which I told would be in my account within 3 days. Low and behold..nothing. I waited a further week before emailing then having to phone again. I was then told by another man that he thought the problem had been sorted and he would transfer the problem to the' card company?!. Obviously from this review I still have not received any emails, calls or a refund. I am so upset never mind angry because on the edge of Christmas I am like most of people trying to budget. with the current times. I will never use this website again. I would just like a refund now but it seems impossible. After seeing the review I received a call about my order. I am now in the process of a refund and was offered a lovely gesture as a result of the problems. Many thanks, Elaine
i ordered 2 ewe and me sheep from gilly gifts they took the money from my bank almost straight away ,i expected an email confirming my order but there was none , i have sent 2 emails witch havent been answered i have no idea if they are going to be delivered or not, they took the money out on the 7/11/12 ,i supposse thats not to long to wait but the lack of response makes me wonder if the product is going to be delivered ,i might check with my bank to see if they can recover the money i,m not sure if that is possible . thank you gilly gifts for getting in touch i look forward to receiving my order and hopefully placing another soon :)
I rang to chase my order after two weeks of placing it to be told that a big order had arrived and needed to be unpacked. So I said ok as long as it hasn't got lost in the post. I had sent two emails previous to the phone call which were ignored. I am still waiting for the order! I emailed again on Monday and am still waiting for a reply! Terrible customer service - just want a refun now.

Money was taken off immediately on ordering the item online but it still has not arrived.
My e-mails and phone calls have been ignored by this company. On phoning them I have got an answer phone which is very poor for customer-client relations and for a caring company!
Refund given. Business Manager stated that he sent item which should have arrived 10 days after order and subsequently was on holiday. The gift was not received and refund agreed. Matter resolved immediately after posting review. Thanks.
