My wife in Oz had ordered a sunglasses for my Valentine day in UK. The price on high street is £130 but in the website is only £86 including 1st class recorded. It takes around 1 week to be with me but we are happy with that price and their services. I made some phone calls in 3 days to ask what the status is and they was very nice talking on the phone. Some said cheap means fake so I try to check it fake or real but honestly no sign lets you think it is fake :P. Anyways to good to be true :P Thank you very much :)
I had some similar problems to a previous reviewer (stock showing as available but actually awaited and emails being bounced) but I called Glasses Corp to check the progress of my order. With a tight deadline until my holiday departure, it looked like the glasses wouldn't arrive in time. Then I got a call to say that the lenses had arrived and the sunglasses were in the post with next day delivery.
They arrived as promised and I noticed that Glasses Corp had paid extra postage to get them to me. Although it took a couple of calls, I was just very pleased to get the sunglasses in time.
And the price was better than I could find anywhere else, including Oakley shops in the USA.
I ordered a pair of Wayfarers on a Friday afternoon and received an e-mail later that day to state my order had been received and it was being prepared. The website explains that orders made on a Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Monday arrived and no glasses were delivered. Same again on Tuesday. On Wednesday I sent an e-mail to ask if the glasses had been sent. A few hours later I received an e-mail explaining the glasses were out of stock and would not be restocked due to their supplier also selling out. I was invited to contact them to discuss an exchange or refund. Upon trying to do so by e-mail I immediately received a reply stating their e-mail inbox was full and my message was not delivered. Maybe this was delivered in error as they contacted me about half an hour later to say they've sent me a similar pair of sunglasses instead. Can't complain about that!
Very disappointed that i have not received my sunglasses yet, especially as we have this lovely heatwave at the moment! I have contacted Glasses Corp three times now, and first couple of calls said that hopefully they should be in soon. But the last call i made this morning, they said that the supplier has let them down and need to chase them up. What i am annoyed about is, when i ordered them, it stated they were in stock, but when i mentioned this, they said that they cannot keep up with whats in stock and what out of stock - so all i can say is, beware that you may have to wait longer than you expect to receive your order !! I'm still waiting, hoping that i will eventually get my sun-glasses in the not too distant future. What i have noticed though, is that my payment has been taken already. From my experience, other companies don't do this until item is ready for dispatch?
Just want to say thank you very much for sorting the returns quickly, the new pair of Ray bans arrived today which I am very pleased with- all authentic. I have used other online sun glasses shops in the past and was going to use them again when an online search brought me to Glasses Corp. I was a bit sceptical because they were a lot cheaper than my previous shops, I mean a good 45% cheaper and the old adage if it looks too good to be true etc. I decided to place an order and I received an email confirming this, 2 days later I received another stating they were “Picking” and a day later confirming dispatch, all very well. After a week my glasses had not arrived so my concerns began to grow. I contacted Glasses Corps by phone which was answered promptly and a couple of days later by e-mail which was also answered quickly. They tried to help me as much as they could and understood my frustrations, they even offered to send me a new pair of glasses or a full refund if my order hadn’t turned up by the 15th working day. When my glasses arrived on the 12th day it was obvious the problem had been with Royal Mail as the postage date was as stated in my confirmation e-mail so they must have been held up somewhere in RM’s delivery system, 12 day’s is just not good enough for a signed for service. The glasses where exactly as described and I’m very happy with them, I would definitely use Glasses Corp again and will definitely recommend to my friends. 45% cheaper than my previous on line shops and £71 cheaper than the high street, brilliant.
Glassescorp is a very trustworthy website and customer service is top drawer!! Sunglasses exactly as ordered. I received my pair of Polished Chrome/Chrome Iridium Oakley Plaintiff Sunglasses (in stock item) the next day! I was disappointed the lens were more mirrored than pictured on the website, so they offered to despatch a different pair (Matt Black/Warm Grey) that day and guess what, they arrived the very next day too! They emailed me to confirm receipt of the glasses I sent back and advised full refund will be with me between 3-7 days. Excellent service, will definitely be using them again.
I ordered my sunglasses on Thursday 23rd May, on the Friday I received an email saying my order had been 'picked' and 'dispatched'. I rang them up as I had made an error in my address when ordering to get it resolved. The following week went by until I decided to give them a ring as they hadn't arrived still. I was told that they were out of stock and were going to be dispatched at the end of that day, I asked why I wasn't told this and why I had to ring them to find out? This was met with less than enthusiastic 'ooh's and aaah's', I had ordered them for a weekend break and therefore didn't get them in time.
So apparently they were ACTUALLY dispatched on Thursday 30th May, well it is now 3rd June and they STILL haven't arrived.
The whole experience with this company has been dogged by incompetence, a lack of care, a lack of customer service and is just generally a very poorly run business. My advice would be avoid like the plague. Shadestation may cost a bit more but they have great service.
I had read some of the less favourable reviews of Glassescorp and was a bit wary of ordering specs online, however, the specs I ordered and received are excellent and exactly what I wanted. What impressed me most is the same specs from a well known high street store would have cost me £120 more! Service was great with regular email updates and the finished product top quality with genuine case and cleaning cloth. The whole process took a week.
Having looked for recent reviews of this company before deciding to purchase from them I couldn't really find anything newer than 6 months ago so thought I would add this.
I purchased a pair of Oakley Half shock glasses with prescription lenses and chose the £20 option for thinner/coated lens. The price was extremely good and the delivery extremely quick (less than a week including Sat/Sun). I received an e-mail within 24 hours to advise that my glasses had been "picked" and then 2 more e-mails on the day they were despatched one saying they had been "picked" again (probably a mistake) and one to advise the glasses had been posted. The Oakleys came with all original packaging, case and guarantee as you would expect and were extremely good quality. I have not had them long enough to comment on the scratch resistance of the coating only time will tell if that's worth the cost or not.
The only observation I would make is that the lens (prescription) seems to be marginally different to other glasses (lens) I have had made from the same prescription i.e. slightly less powerful.
I was very impressed with my shopping experience with Glassescorp. They didnt have the exact model I wanted but after a quick phone call to the very helpful person they were ordered and delivered within 4 days.
I was happy overall and would be happy to order again from them.
The glasses ordered arrived the day after ordering though unfortunately were too small and didn't suit my husband. I returned them within two days and had to phone to check if they had received them back. Would have liked an email confirming receipt and advising that a refund was being issued. As yet have had no confirmation.
