I ordered a Wheelbarrow that was stated as (in stock) on their web site, three days later I get a phone call to say "sorry we are out of stock of this item and would you like to choose another" .
Dissapointed as I was, I did find an alternative on their web site and proceeded to order another one, as again it was stated as
Three days later I get a email to say they are out of stock of this item and will not be getting more stock in between 7 and 10 days!
The reason we use the internet to search for various items is to save us time and money.
This company will certainly waste your time, which is money !
I ordered a chiminea and some patio planters. I never received a tracking/ consignment number. When I called customer service they told me good had been dispatched, I asked why here was no tracking number and was told "sometimes there isn't one". I waited. A week went by. I called again and was told the planters would be resent, and that the TNT deliveries had attempted to deliver the chiminea twice and failed. I asked why we had no card and was told to call the depot. I called the depot, nobody answered. When I did get through I was told the item had been returned to sender and that my address was wrong. I called great gardens and they said that they knew why he chiminea had been returned, it was because it was damaged by TNT and that their suppliers had told them that. They told me a new chiminea would be dispatched. 3 weeks after placing my order, still no tracking number, still no chiminea, still none he wiser as great gardens customer service line is continually engaged. I have no idea how to get my money back or to get the product I ordered. Incidentally, the planters did arrive in open/ damaged packaging. This business is a shambles, I would recommend it be avoided.
I was very pleased with the ornamental tree ordered online. It was a good size and was received promptly. Fortunately it was packed well as the courier did not follow the instructions on the box, but fortunately this did not damage the tree.
My experience of GreatGardens online is not a good one. I ordered a black sunbed, supplying my contact details at the time as requested on the order form (which suggested someone would telephone me first to ensure I was home to take receipt of the order). Two failed delivery attempts later – and no phone call – I emailed GreatGardens and returned home to a telephone message from a Customer Service Assistant stating the item was “still at Fradley and I’m not sure when it will be delivered – we don’t have direct communication with the Courier – I suggest you phone them direct”. Unsurprisingly, as I work full time, the third and final delivery was failed resulting in me having to make a 12 mile trek to pick it up.
Contrary to GreatGardens online advice that you should “check the item before the courier leaves, to ensure it is ok” Yodel - the courier - would not allow me to open it and check it on their premises. Helpful. Having bundled the item into my car, I was horrified to find the item faulty when it was unpacked (the “cord” in the suspension system had snapped). I phoned GreatGardens and was asked by a Customer Service Assistant to send photographic evidence of the damage by email (why??) and that a replacement item would be delivered and the faulty item collected at the same time. This time I changed the delivery address to someone I know is at home this week to avoid a recurrence of a failed delivery attempt. This morning a courier turned up to collect the faulty item - but there was no sign of the replacement item.
I mailed GreatGardens to be informed “We use separate couriers for collection and delivery. Your replacement lounger was despatched yesterday and will be with you on Monday. This is being held at the Lichfield Depot.” First of all, where is the apology for the promise of a replacement being sent at the same time the faulty item was being collected? Secondly, how do they know someone will be in on Monday to receive the goods without checking?
I have put myself out of any further misery and cancelled the order – this item will be returning to GreatGardens where it can happily collect dust on their shelves until some other poor soul orders it.
An appalling experience of a shabby, inefficient online business.
Great service, I ordered an extra large Chimenia from Great Gardens Online. Ordered Sunday and got it Wednesday, great delivery for a large item. they even put it into my garage. The web site is easy to use and very clear, even free delivery. great stuff, well done
Do not buy the mixed colour tulip bulbs.
We purchased 150 and ended up with majority being yellow and a handful of pink.

I can only apologise for this. Unfortunately they are sent from our
supplier in pre packed mixed colour sacks, we then take them as we need
them for customers. The colours chosen are obviously out of hands.

Duly received and planted.
The good news is that they have flowered however can you kindly clarify
your definition of mixed colours.
We have a great display of yellow with the odd pink one.
Hopefully the attached photos show that probably 75% have turned out
yellow the rest pink.

Very Good. This is the second time I have used Great Gardens Online and will continue to do so from now on. Buying is straight forward and you get a chance to state where the delivery should be left at your house if your not available.I also had a text the evening before saying when the delivery was due.The delivery was very prompt.
Really terrible service. A week has gone by and I still have not had a despatch notification for my order (an apple tree). I tried telephoning (on a Saturday), but was told that they were unable to log onto the appropriate computer system and someone would call back first thing on Monday morning. Nobody did. I'm not sure what has happened to my order but I do know I will not be ordering from this firm again.
Thank you for my purchase of the Elegance Arch. I am very impressed with the product and the service I received also delivery was sooner than expected. All items such as screws nuts and washers were complete as was the ground spikes that fit absolutely perfect.

Very helpful staff. I wanted to order a certain type of plant which we had ordered from them before but could not find it on the website. On enquiring as to whether I could purchase this plant anymore a helpful salesperson responded within 24 hours to say that they would be available at a certain time of year. I found the website very easy to use also and was impressed with the next day delivery.
All in all excellent service.
My main gripe is that next-day delivery was offered. I stayed in for most of the next day (in very good allotment weather) in the hope that I could put the awaited propagator to use but the consignment did not arrive till the following day when I was out.
A lesser one is that the tracking system denied all knowledge of my consignment.
I like the actual items very much. I use root trainers and found that my old propagator could not cope with the taller root trainers; the cover cannot be closed. With my new acquisition there is still a slight problem but the shape of the cover is better.
Delivery within a couple of days, well packed and products were just what we wanted. Although now we have seen them they have been placed in a more prominent place in the garden than they were ordered for.
Will check out greatgardensonline next time I am looking for anything.
The quality of plants received was 1st class, well packaged and good value. I was informed of delivery by text and they arrived on time. I was so impressed that I will be placing another order, this time for me, as previous were bought as presents.
