I purchased an outdoor setting and bee house from Greenfingers, and the quality of both items exceeded expectations. Shipping took a bit longer than expected, but aside from that, the service was excellent. I'll definitely buy from them again.
Bought 2 acacia folding tables to go at each end of my Lutyens bench (also purchased from Greenfingers). I am very pleased with the quality. they look good and are exactly what I wanted.
They were very well packed, and delivered as promised. I have purchased a number of items over the last few years and have found them to be very helpful, and this is why I have continued to buy from them.
I ordered a water butt from this company a month ago. Everything in my order was in stock apart from one item but I added it anyway since the website implied that it would be sent to me when it came back into stock.
Little did I know that they would hold the order for 3 weeks just for that one item - and no one bothered to inform or update me. I had to call to find out that it was being held. They gave me a date of 27th April for the part to come in, May comes and still no word. I call again to discover that the order had been sent to the warehouse for picking. 8th May I finally, finally get a despatch note but no tracking number, expected delivery date - just that it had been sent by "nightfreight". So I wait indoors for 2 days and it does not arrive. I have just found out that nightfreight is a 3 day delivery.
Whilst I appreciate that I could have done things a little differently as a customer (calling more often, not ordering stuff that isn't in stock), I do think that a good business will do better in terms of communicating with its customers. It isn't much to ask to add a little note to your confirmation emails to say that once despatched, it will take 3 days - especially if they KNOW that. It isn't much to call or email your customers to say that there is a delay. Waiting a month for a water butt when we've had the rainiest April ever (and today is sunny when the water butt is due) is a lot to ask. I will never order from this company again or recommend it to anyone. Particularly since I wrote them an email to explain why I was unhappy and no one even bothered to reply.
I don't know what I'll receive, assuming I receive it. We'll see.
I recently orderd a ceramic garden fountain.It arrived within a few days,beautifully packaged and excellent value.I particularly wanted a solar fountain that would also function in cloudy weather,It was exactly what I wanted and works very well indeed. I may well be tempted to order a second one for the front garden! Thank you Greenfingers, I can thoroughly recommend this product and your company to family and friends.
I ordered a potting bench + 2 growing sacks on 2 April. The site claims the delivery is 10-14 days. I chased this order twice, each time being told they were expecting to send out as soon as possible. I eventually received the order today, one month after my order date. Several points about this:
* Once the order is placed, the small print says 28 days delivery, so why give the impression it's 10 to 14 days: it's misleading.
* They took my money straight away. That's fine for a company like Amazon who usually deliver within 24 hours. (In fact I've ordered over the 'net with companies who delivered within hours.) Greenfingers have sat on my money for a month - and I'm not happy about that.
*Looking through the reviews I'm not the only one who has endured this. It's totally unacceptable, Greenfingers.
* I was not kept informed of progress (lack of) but had to do all the chasing myself.
As if that wasn't enough .....
The package arrived today. Upon opening it, I find that although the packer has ticked the pick list as all complete, it isn't. I've received only one grow sack, not the two ordered. And just to make my day complete, the screws which hold the potting bench table together have been put in in such a way that they've torn through the wood, and the bits of wood are just dangling together. Whoever put my order together clearly didn't give a damn.
I'll be phoning Greenfingers tomorrow for them to collect this heap of junk and if I don't get good service I'll be posting here again.
I recently ordered a Slim Jim water butt and stand from Greenfingers.com. Due to the current surge in demand for these items I was pleased to find a retailer with items in stock. Or rather, I foolishly believed the website which claimed they were in stock. My subsequent experience leads me to suspect this was not actually the case.
Greenfingers.com would have you believe that most items are delivered within 14 working days and that all items are guaranteed to be delivered within 28 days. Well, don't believe it because it's not true. Instead, they take your money straight away and then fail to deliver within their own 'guarantee' time frame. Calls to the customer service number simply result in a stock answer of, "We hope to deliver it later this week!". Hmmm...
Greenfingers.com continue to claim that the item is in stock and that they simply have a backlog of orders. I'm sorry but no matter how busy they may be, it does not take a month to put an item in the post!
Don't waste your time and money on this company.
have bought many items from Greenfingers - from plants to garden furniture and a chimenea. Have always found the service excellent - packages delivered on time, adequately packaged and contents of high quality. Have recommended this site to friends and family.
Table was very good quailty, arrived packaged securely. Just one nut missing. Contacted Customers Services and they promptly came back to me with a solution. Very happy with the service and the product.
BE VERY CAREFUL ordering from this company. They take your money immediately, do not send goods, request that you visit the Post office to look for this non existent parcel, then promise a refund which is not forthcoming. Very similar comments on other review sites, proceed with caution. Jacky W

Company communication - zero.
I had been looking for a cheapish decent wooden 6 seater garden table and chair set that would last for a couple of years before investing in a more expensive one that would last for 10-15 years. I did a search on Goggle and found a lot of rather expensive garden furniture companies. I do realise that different woods do cost completely different amounts of money. I had particularly liked the Portland set on the Greenfingers website as it looked solid, hard wearing, well made, excellent value and of a good quality.
Still a bit unsure whether to buy this set as I could get cheaper sets elsewhere. I read reviews on Greenfingers. All they had were good reviews saying that their order had been delivered within days of ordering and were really great value. My mind was made up so I placed my order. On their website it stated that delivery was up to 10 days. As I placed my order after business hours this would be dealt with the following day.
After a few days I went online to check for any status updates and could not find any order tracking so I emailed them hoping to hear some good news and I would one of the 47% that get delivery within 5 days of ordering. I got a response almost immediately, which I thought was great. However I was none the wiser as my reply stated that a delivery date could not be given at that time. I asked a few other questions about whether they used their own van or courier company, which was not answered. I also asked if I could have express delivery. I was told that was not possible on my order as it was at their off-site warehouse.
After a few more days I emailed again and explained that I needed the furniture in time for Easter. I asked if it would definitely be delivered or I would cancel my order. I had been planing to have gone out at the weekend and bought something from Argos. It was in stock and all I needed to do was collect it from the store. I did not really want to do this as it would have meant borrowing a trailer from my in-laws, but would not have had much choice. She assured me that it would be delivered before Easter and she would mark it as urgent.
After the weekend I telephoned Greenfingers. It took me a just under an hour to get through and then I was placed into a 4 person queue. Once I got through I was put on hold while they checked what was happening. I was told that they were doing their best and it should be dispatched later on for delivery Tuesday. I then cancelled my plans for Tuesday with friends. We had planned on taking our children to the local farm and soft play centre. My daughter was disappointed but I thought that we could go on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon instead.
Tuesday around midday I called Greenfingers to see if I could find out delivery info like where on the list I was or a courier tracking number. I was then told that my order had not gone out but would be dispatched later on that day with City Link. I could not find a pen so I could not write down the tracking number. I asked if this could be emailed to me and she said yes. However the email never arrived.
I changed my plans for Wednesday so that I could be at home all day to wait for the delivery. Wednesday morning I checked my emails but nothing so I called Greenfingers again. These phone calls are costing a fortune. My order was still not dispatched!!!! I took the courier number as I wanted to be able to check on Thursday without having to phone anywhere. The phone operator let it slip that my order had been ready since Monday but had a collection date of Wednesday and this was done on Monday. So, why was I told lies about my delivery being on Tuesday and again on Wednesday???! I would rather Greenfingers were honest and I would not have cancelled and changed my plans for 2 days that I need not have. I did try the tracking number after 6pm but it did not work. I kept trying it all evening but still it did not work.
Wednesday evening I got an email at 10pm to let me know my courier number and that my order had been dispatched. I had been given a different tracking number, which could explain why the other one did not work. However the new number did not work either. But it might have just been a case that it had not long been picked up and was not yet on the City Link system.
Thursday morning I checked both courier numbers. Neither worked but thought that I would wait until midday to phone Greenfingers. It is now too late to make alternative arrangements for Easter. I have 16 people for dinner on Sunday and we bought the table and chairs so that we would have 2 tables for people to sit on. I did not want to spend more money on calls and sitting in a queue.
Midday came and still neither numbers appear to exist. I phoned Greenfingers again and was told that the emailed tracking number is the right one but might not be on the City Link system as they are a bit behind, but assured that it will be delivered today. Is this more fobbing off? Am I about to waste another day waiting in for a delivery that will not turn up. It is a 6 and a half hour drive to West Lothian to here, unless City Link have started my orders journey without scanning it in my order will not arrive today! City Link do use planes, so maybe it might arrive.
At around 3pm I checked the tracking number again. It was still not coming up. I decided to phone them. They said that they were not having any problems and it would be on the system. They took my details including my address and said that they have nothing on their system. I have worked for a company and have used City Link as a business customer so I do believe them over a company that has been lying to me all week.
I phoned Greenfingers once more. This time I got straight through. She told me that my order was picked up yesterday but it is on a up to 4 day delivery!!!!! I was fuming. Why have I been promised next day delivery all week?! Apparently they do not do next day delivery on all items. I have an email dated the 27th March stating that I will have delivery before Easter. Why was I told earlier on today that my delivery will be here TODAY!!!!! I am so angry that I feel like crying. They have lied to me all week, why could they not be honest? I have cancelled my entire week for nothing.
I now believe that the reviews on their website might be monitored that bad reviews do not get put onto the website.
I am cannot comment on the actual quality of the furniture as it is not here yet and I am so close to refusing my order. I have also noticed that the percent of people that have had their orders delivered within 5 days has dropped to 32%.
If you need a reliable, honest and trustworthy company then do not use this company. Especially if you are in a hurry!

Solar marker lights- only 4 out of 6 worked - reported this and a week later (this morning) have received a new pack, havn't yet tested.

The product was worth every penny - especially when compared to similar products on the market. The greenhouse is spacious - the shelves are a real bonus. The frame is sturdy considering the price and the instructions for assembly couldn't have been clearer. If you're looking for a small walk-in greenhouse - don't waste time looking anywhere else. This does the business!
Was so impressed with the quality and value of my first order I now turn to Greenfingers for all my gardening needs.
With such a wide range at low prices Greenfingers cannot be faulted. Their web site is easy to navigate and I highly recommend that all customers/prospective customers sign up for the newsletter. This is always full of bargains and contains details ot their monthly sale where you can pick up a bargain at an even lower price.
Delivery cannot be faulted and to date every item I have ordered has been well packed.
This company's products are varied and such good value. I order and receive my delivery within days and I would really recommend you choose your next gardening requirements from them. What could be easier?
Arrived as promised - fast! Left it for few days, then proceeded to fix it to wire mesh fence. Easy to affix, looks great and does the job I want it to do - provide some privacy!

When I ordered this set I was not expecting Rolls Royce style quality as this was just something for the next couple of years till I have upgraded the garden, but to my delight this set is not only comfortable to sit on but the build quality may mean that I will be able to pass this on to family when I do upgrade. Simple build for the table only took me 5 minutes, the delivry was pretty quick arriving on the third working day after ordering. Brilliant Greenfingers thank you very much.
hi loved all the items i bought slight mishap with my free lights as they woulnt add to basket but when i contacted them by email they were so nice and helpful and sorted and posted them straight away there items are of a very high quality and very well made they look lovely in my garden and the topiary balls and large pots i bought look amazing and real so thankyou green fingers for your quick delivery and helpful staff am on now picking ones for the front garden ....
Having bought two fabulous metal tree seats - not the easiest thing to assemble for flatpack incompetents like me, but well worth the effort - I have just bought a beautiful metal tulip bench, which is every bit as good and incredible value. It is made of good quality material, yet is still light enough to move with ease. I have been highly impressed with all the metal seats I have bought from Greenfingers and have no hesitation in recommending them unreservedly. I was also impressed by the way I could track the parcel, so I had an approximate time for when it would arrive. I shall certainly continue to use this company.
Ordered the Ellister deluxe rotating hanging parasol and cover in the sale on the 28th of January, delivered on the 1st of february....
This is a big item. Took it from box and asssembled it in order to make sure everything was there. assembled easily within ten minutes no extra tools
Delighted with it, more like a gazebo than a parasol when up and open, but it breaks into two parts easily for storage. It is now in my garage ready for a long hot summer... Thank you for an excellent service,will use again..

Very disappointing delivery service, ordered 2 items in November, delivery driver left no note to say he had been, Greenfingers emailed and I gave a works address for delivery, still nothing had arrived by Christmas so left another message and was told would be delivered the Friday after Christmas, still nothing came, phoned again on return to work in January and was told would be redelivered, eventually 1 item arrived mid January so had to phone again for 2nd part of order, was told this would be dispatched again as it had been forgotten, 1 week later still hadn't arrived so phoned again and then it arrived a few days after with no apology. All I can say is if you are ordering for Christmas or birthday's don't bother.
My wife and I are are very pleased with the excellent first class service,we recieved from this company.Nothing was a problem,even when they had to change my address on the parcel already in the warehouse ready to be collected for delivery,I would Highly Recommend this company and will definately use them again,
Very pleased with how my order was handled - there was a double payment taken from my account in error and it was refunded with no trouble. The terracotta garden clock and thermometer wasn't working properly but again, exchanged with no issues. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the fault with the original product - replacement seems to work fine. I suspect the double payment was a website fault.
Would recommend this company. Easy to order, delivery is quick and any problems you have with your purchases are sorted quickly and very efficiently. I only wish they sold more choices of products and I could shop at this one place only.
I ordered one of these and it arrived in two days. I was so pleased with it that I ordered a second one immeditely. Service was excellent, delivery quick and the company was a pleasure to deal with. This will be my first stop for all gardening needs!
