I love Groupon simply the best if you want to get a great price from a quality local business. I don't like how they treat people who apply for job at their company, and at first after I was treated ' less then" i promised myself I will not use Groupon any more. Then i figured, the company overall offers great deals, yes I don't need Groupon, I can survive without those deals, but I like them, I like the quality of the local business they chose, as for who works there and their attitude about a very smart woman applying for a job at the company that is paying them money, too bad for Groupon, they missed out on a solid, loyal employee who likes what they do. So I can't punish Groupon because some person has no class. Life goes on.

I called to book an appointment and when I got there they got me to sit on a chair which had someone else's hair all over it. I asked for a cloth to wipe the chair down before I sat down. The hairdresser kindly sorted it out after I asked.
The first thing that she said to me was they are having a special offer of a shine they can put in your hair that will last for a few months and is normally £45.00, but will be £18.00 for today only. I kindly declined this offer.
The hairdresser then asked how much I'd like to have cut and I said about 4 or 5 inches. Her reply was that'll cost you extra because they class that much cut as a re-style. I asked how much I was allowed with the groupon voucher and she said she doesn't know by inches - just if it's a lot!! I explained to her that not everybody's a lot is the same. I didn't think I was having a lot cut - but she did. Would be interested to find out if everyone that booked with this hairdresser was told that their cut would be extra.
She then said because your hair is quite thick - I couldn't help but laugh and interrupted to ask how much extra would that would cost? She said that it wouldn't cost extra just that she would also do layers for me. As I was there, the other hairdresser was going round to the other customers telling them they had a special offer on shampoo's and conditioners!!
I paid the extra to have the 5 inches cut, but she was very reluctant to cut as much as I wanted!!
It turned out ok after all the sales pitches, but I wouldn't return to this salon. It felt like I was in a different country with the strong sales. Really wasn't a very nice experience.
I have used Groupon quite a few times and this is the first time I have felt this disappointed enough to write and let other people know.
I find it hard to believe these awful comments about Groupon. Folks you are getting an extreme discount on products so you are going to go through some rough roads. The vendor you go to is giving a reduced rate so you will not be there priority. This is a discounted service that requires due diligence and flexibility by the purchaser. If you want A+ service you need to pay full price to get it. If you want the discounted price you must be able to be flexible. I have used this service many times, and with patience with the seller I eventually got the times and days I needed. Remember if you want a premium product and service pay the full price and you will. If you wish to get an extreme discount be prepared to put some effort in on your part!

After politely and respectfully emailing 6 consecutive times to Groupon about my dissatisfaction with a merchant, they only quoted the policy back to me over and over and told me to regift my coupon. A masseuse is someone that needs to gain trsut and respect with quickness in order for me to be willing to unclothe for them. When my appointment was canceled 15 minutes before it was scheduled, not to mention after being so booked up it took two months to even get an appointment, the trust factor diminished. Then I never received a call back to reschedule my appointment. In the lower right corner of the homepage is the Groupon Promise: “If the experience using your Groupon ever lets you down, we’ll make it right or return your purchase. Simple as that.” I have been lulled into a sense of security with a patently false guarantee. I felt safe ordering from an otherwise unknown merchant because, as Groupon assures, “We're so confident in our featured businesses that we back them with the Groupon Promise.” They lost a customer.
Got a Groupon for a hot air balloon ride with Sunrise Balloons in Temecula. First off, the deal claimed the value was $199 and the Groupon was for $99. But later I discover that several other companies in the area - all of which have way higher Yelp ratings (Strike one) - all charge about $110 to $140. So the "value" was substantially inflated. Strike two. Called the company to try to redeem and no one answered so left a message. No response after two days. Strike thee. Called again. Voicemail again. Called again, and again, and again. Strike four, five, etc. Finally got a hold of someone, who helped me schedule a flight for a date over a month away because none of the many dates I wanted were available. Another strike. When the fateful date arrives, I wake up at 3:45am and show up at the launch site at 5-something in the morning after driving over an hour to Temecula, No Sunrise Balloons. So I call and - surprise - no answer. When I finally talk to someone, they say they had to cancel due to weather. What? I saw at least 8 other balloons floating through the early morning sky on what could only be described as a perfect day. Were they in different weather? When I contacted Groupon for a refund, they told me that it is the nature of ballooning that sometimes flights cancel due to weather, and I needed to try to reschedule and only if I was not able to reschedule would I get a refund. What about a refund for the frustration, and the gas I used to drive to Temecula? Groupon needs to do a better job of A) choosing the companies they work with B) stating the actual value of the product or service and C) not ripping people off.
Het hoeft niet maar het mag... het wordt aangeboden en met een zeer aantrekkelijke prijs!
Je moet na aankoop wel ff opletten en de groupon activeren, even geduld hebben, maar werkelijk... je geduld wordt beloond!
Heb al meerdere aankopen gedaan en ben zeer tevreden...
als er iets niet goed gaat wordt er een goed alternatief geboden en is de service netjes en correct!

Just found this website a few months ago, and boy do I love the savings! There's nothing like saving 50% on something... today I purchased a $50 Groupon for GAP for only $25! Can't beat that! The only downside is they're not in every city yet, so they don't always have deals that I can take advantage of, but the ones I do buy are always worth it! I also check here when I know I'll be traveling somewhere... I can usually find deals for shows, spas, sight seeing, etc, so with a little advance planning, you can save big on vacations too!
