Excellent service at each stage!
I purchased a potato planter from Groves Nurseries as a gift for my husband. It arrived promptly at the time I was told to expect it. The tool is of excellent quality and will be put to immediate use.
I received great service at each stage of the purchase and will buy from Groves Nurseries again.

An excellent quality plant nursery
My order for violets, the speciality of this small professional nursery was despatched, beautifully packed, and arrived safely with the plants in great condition just ready to plant.
Their customer service was great, keeping me fully informed of the status of my order.
I will most certainly return to this nursery for further plants and would highly recommend others to do the same.

The Grape Vines Arrived in Excellent Condition
I was very impressed with the care and attention, your packing department went to, in packing my Grape Vine Plants. All arrived safely in a next day delivery. I timed it just right, as the buds were still very small and will have a few days to settle in, before they come into leaf and start to grow. Thank you for your prompt attention to my order.

OK but nothing exceptional
The website was fine but email contact was slow and delivery was even slower!! I would not recommend this firm to friends. I was disappointed in the slowness of response and delivery. They also used Parcelforce and they have a poor reputation which may have contributed to the slowness of the delivery.

Long wait for plants but good communication and nice when finally arrived.
Bad weather played a large part I know in the delivery of my plants. I had to wait a very long time (11 weeks). Probably would not have ordered from Groves if I had known how long it would take. Plants were good when finally arrived. Groves did keep me informed of the problems they were encountering. Very friendly and personal service which was nice. Maybe an extra plant as compensation for the problems encountered would have been an appropriate gesture? Overall a genuine supplier and on the plus side the packaging and instructions were first class.

Thanks for the grape vines, they arrived today and were really well packed. I liked the way they were stuffed with hay to keep them safe. One of the plants seemed to be a bit further on than the other but I am sure it will catch up. They arrived nice and quick, I only ordered them at the weekend and they arrived on Wednesday.

Excellent, violets arrived today in good order.
Just in time for my Mum's 90th birthday, well 2 days late but she had no time to plant them on Monday anyway! They were still damp and were well packaged.
Mum is a keen gardener and will treasure these plants. Her sister carried violets on her Wedding day in the early 1950's.

Proud of my perfect potato planter!
For years I have planted my pots on my knees-but remembered that my dear old dad had a potato planter that he'd made and I wondered whether any existed. I went searching online and blow me if I didn't find just the thing. I've already plated my first earlies with no kneeling and no backache! Thank you-very pleased with my perfect potato planter!

Great service!!
Ordered some Moores Dorset Knobs(!) from Groves as we don't have any stockists around us and the service was fab! Placed the order online on 3rd April (Wednesday) and they were here Friday morning, brilliant! They kept me informed all the way too with my order and dispatch. Oh and the biscuits are lovely!!

Good service
Ordered some grape vines. They were dispatched speedily and with a tracked courier. Arrived very well wrapped with grass as insulation. Just have to see if they grow well in their new home.

Delivered at the speed of light!
Whilst the falling sleet/snow discourages me from planting anything out today, I am most impressed with the speed of delivery [24 hrs from date of order] and excellent packaging which has meant the vine I ordered has arrived in tip-top condition. Hoping it will stop snowing soon so I can get it into the ground ....

good prompt service and good product
We have never heard of Grove Nurseries before, but were tempted by the clear and informative website to try one of the grape vines. It came very well packaged and very quickly. It is now safely in situ, with a good root system, and we will await developments, and the coming of warmer weather!

Neverending delivery...
Too long delivery: GLS is just not the right service to use ! :-( Almost 2 weeks between the arrival in France and the delivery at home !!!
The GLS call number never answer...

I received six great grape vines all in excellent condition and just as advertised. I was particularly pleased with the packers use of hay which was such a pleasure to find after so much polystyrene elsewhere.

Exceptional service and packaging
I was really impressed with both the speed of delivery and the quality of the packaging. The vines arrived in perfect condition due to the brilliant packing, they were wrapped in hay to cushion them and were sturdily boxed. It is to soon to review the plants themselves but if the service is an indication they will be fine!

Delighted with the plants and the service.
I ordered a range of violets in January that were delivered in March. As the growing season was affected by the weather Groves did not despatch the plants until they were robust enough to withstand the packing and posting. I was kept informed by e-mail during this time. This is an excellent service from a reputable nursery who know their plants inside out. I would not hesitate to order from Groves again.
My only concern was with the carrier. Instructions were provided to leave the parcel behind a doorstep planter. I have done this many times with plants as it is out of sight. Unfortunately the carrier took the parcel to the post office and I was unable to collect it until the following day as their opening hours are limited and I work late. This also entailed a special trip to collect. Obviously an extra 24hrs in a box is not ideal for plants.

Excellent plants, super service and communication.
The plants arrived in excellent condition. I was thrilled to find them in flower already. I received kind and thoughtful emails from Becky when I was buying plants for a bereaved friend. When growth was delayed by the weather, I was kept informed. I can't fault Groves.

Groves Nurseries is a family business based in West Dorset (That's some of us on the right). We in fact have a couple of nurseries, our main nursery and garden centre is in Bridport but we also have a small (but perfectly formed) plant nursery in Beaminster called Little Groves. We have been around since 1866 so we know a thing or two about gardening!
