A Friendly Store
I bought a guitar from these guys on-line, having first visited their store in Glasgow.
They have recently moved premises to London Road, the new one is much bigger and is not far from where the old one used to be.
The same guys still work there and the atmosphere is still just as friendly as it used to be (musicians operating a shop for musicians) - there is no hard sell, just help and advice if you need it, I was unable to fault them, and will go back there the next time I am down in Glasgow.

Good quality, good website and good service - what's not to love?
I came to Merchant City Music as a second choice but I'm glad I did. I ordered the guitar I wanted from GAK as their website said it was in stock. Two days later I received an email telling me it was actually out of stock and they wouldn't be getting any in for another month, having already taken my money. I didn't want to wait that long so checked out Merchant City's website. There was my guitar for the same price. It was delivered in two days as promised with no damage to the packaging. They even sent an email advising the time of delivery to within an hour (brilliant). I took out the guitar and was overjoyed to see it was beautifully polished with no fingermarks and already tuned up and ready to play straight from the box. That's what I call good service. Well done guys.

Outstanding Service - Instrument Flawless
I was in despair looking for a particularly rare Ibanez they don't/won't be making anymore. To my surprise MCM had one clearly listed on their site. A quick check found all the necessary product details included plus picture. How delighted to find they were open that Sunday morning - a quick call to them with basic questions (the gentleman even offered to take pictures to prove no damage). I placed the order effortlessly there and then. Their price was £40 cheaper than the cheapest rival (for that model). Delivery was virtually on the dot to home via Interlink (comfortably within the advised hour slot sent to me by email that day). When the instrument arrived, it was securely packaged, well protected, and upon inspection the guitar was perfectly immaculate - no marks of any kind and the strings weren't even tarnished in the slightest (probably only ever set up). Was a totally fantastic experience, and I'm even going to order from them again just to support their business. I cannot fault them.

First class service and product.
Whenever I need a piece of guitar equipment in the future, I'll check to see if its available at Merchant City first. The service I received from them was exemplary - a pleasant and relaxed conversation on the phone was followed up with a well-setup guitar arriving on exactly the day I specified.
The guitar itself is also an amazing example of how a guitar with top-end spec can be produced in the Far East for only "mid-price" money. It's a Walden G3000 and doesn't seem to be available anywhere else in the UK, so another thumbs up for supporting an excellent but lesser-known brand.

Excellent.
Went to order from them a hard to find Hagstrom guitar and noticed another model I was unaware of. I called them and we discussed the diferences in a friendly, knowleditable manner but left me to make the choice. Dispatched same day, delivered on time very well packed and needing no set up. I will use them again with no hesitation.

Great Service
I phoned about a guitar which they didn't have in stock and they said they would make inquires from the supplier and phone me the next day, the person on the phone was very helpful. They did phone back and we ordered on line. There delevery service is great as is the communication, they tell you when it is dispatched and they gave a 1 hour window for delivery (via text) which was kept to. Very good delivery service bearing in mind it was delivered to the South of England.

These guys take pride in what they do!!
First time buying an instrument without playing it or even seeing it!
I must admit I was apprehensive but after talking it through with MCM I felt more confident about parting with my cash!
When it tuned up the set-up was first class, no problems recommending them at all.
The total time from ordering my new Faith, MCM setting it up and to delivery was only 6 working days!! not bad from UK to Portugal!
I am a very happy bunny.. :) and I know where to look 1st for my next Guitar.

THE DOGS DANGLIES
The most helpfull curteous staff and great prices. These guys carted at least a dozen squire and lower priced fenders for my 14y.o. to try. Some models two or three times, no pressure no problem just advise and help. He eventually choose a squire custom tele with a cool double binding over a squire strat he was originally interested in but also tried out jazzmaster and mustang models thanks guys

Great shop, been going there for a number of years.
I've been shopping on this website for a number of years and even bought my first electric guitar in the shop in Glasgow about 12 years ago! :)
I like the website an online experience, it's easy to use and their prices are always reasonable. I was very surprised at the feedback I received on my order, it was delayed several hours due to bad weather and I had a report via text message to keep me updated. I wasn't at all bothered about the delay as usually most online orders I place will show up at "some point" during the day of delivery.
I've been a long term customer over the years and plan to continue to be in years to come!

Brilliant! - Delivered next day - Pleased with price.
Rang the store to make sure the guitar was actually in stock. Confirmed it was. So ordered it Monday morning and it arrived 0930 Tuesday. Played straight from the box. No complaints. would recommend Merchant City Music.

The usual reliable first class service.
I always use Merchant City Music for my guitar strings as they always seem to be reasonably priced and they arrive within a couple of days of ordering. It's ideal, because I live in a small town which has no local retail outlet for musical instruments and accessories, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I have been a customer of Merchant City Music since Easter 2006. Those first impressions have remained true in terms of shops' premise as being built on a friendly, no-prtessure, but do everything possible to assist and help with guitar/amplification selection and support that with a first rate back-up service.
All my guitars have been purchased via this excellent store as they truely go out of their way to obtain the musical instrument as fittng your requirements, specification and budget. The guys are simply awesome.

Got a guitar-need to play-press one key-and parts on there way.
There is not a lot to say about Guitar.Co.UK apart from it's a compney ran by guitarist's for guitarist's, they understand that when a musician need's anything to do with guitars, then there is only one place to go, everything is there upon request, very easy ordering system, and as for price's you will not get better any where....as for delivery...finished what you are doing....then check your mailbox...overnight delivery is a normal thing with this Guitar.Co.UK....save time and money, dont waste your time looking anywhere else just give Guitar.Co.UK a try ...you wont regret it.

SATISFIED OR REFUNDED WITH NO FUSS
I bought a bass case from them and it turned out to be too small for my bass guitar. I phoned them up and was answered by a friendly person who arrange for the item to be picked up froim me(at a time that is convenient to me) for the return. No fuss! Excellent customer service
I accidentally ordered a capo for a classical guitar with the steel stringed guitar that I bought. They actually called me (at a reasonable time) to ask me if I'd rather switch the order to the correct capo. The fellow was very polite and helpful on the phone. Shipping was shockingly quick, and everything arrived in order. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone.
