I don't think I got an email confirmation of the order but the information provided from the website was enough. It was all very straightforward and I like the use of a delivery company that provides notice of when the package will be delivered to within one hour.
I recently bought an ex demo Egnater Rebel 30 head from GuitarGuitar for a very good price. Though I didn't realise the amp was supposed to come with a footswitch, after I had placed the order on their website I received a call to say that since the footswitch had been mislaid, I could have another £30 discount to help pay for a new one. I found a replacement footswitch for £24, and all was well (fantastic amp) for a week until the amp started to cut out. I dropped them a mail to request a return of this amp and replacement with a Tweaker 40 head (since they had no more Rebel 30's in stock, and I would pay the difference in cost). I expected the usual fight for a replacement rather than repair and return, but 5 mins later got a mail back to say this was fine, the Tweaker 40 would be shipped next day and the courier would pick up the faulty amp from me. They also deducted the £24 I paid for the footswitch with no argument. Sure enough, 2 days later I got a text to say the delivery van was on its way, and what time it was due.
Bearing in mind that GuitarGuitar is a large chain of musical equipment dealers, I always got the impression that their main concern was to keep the customer happy - sadly lacking in many other businesses. I was very impressed.
Needless to say, the Tweaker 40 is a superb amp, and is also thoroughly recommended!
I've bought from this company twice now. If they say it's in stock, then it's in stock. Lots of communications, both by text and e-mail. I qualified for next-day delivery on both occasions and received texts telling me the time of the delivery slot. On both occasions my item was delivered within the one-hour slot. Great. Have nothing but good things to say about this company.
Bought a Gibson hummingbird, postage was fast and it was well packed. I paid near full price and though they were unwilling to give me any extras! I had a mucky old set of strings on the guitar and when I asked for a few sets of elixirs I was told no, they could only give me a couple of daddarios. It wasn't until I basically said 'okay, tear up the finance agreement and ill go elsewhere' that I got a few packs of decent strings. Quite frankly I was a little disappointed. I paid a lot of money for a beautiful guitar, but finished the transaction not feeling like a valued customer. I buy a lot of high end guitars, as life really is to short to play shitty ones, but ill probably be buying them from somewhere else in future.
Having ordered a custom Suhr and bought a Tyler from the shop a few years ago. I've held guitarguitar as the best guitar shop in the UK. The staff are knowledgeable and there is no pretention or snobbery when looking at the guitars in the shop. Each time I've been to the Birmingham store I've left feeling like its my local shop, despite the fact I live in South Wales. This service means that when it comes to items that I could purchase from almost anywhere, such as the TC Ditto, I choose guitarguitar as I know the quality of service will be good. The postal service with text updates is also very good.
guitar was delivered on time. we like the fact that we were given a slot of one hour so we didn't have to wait in all day. would have been good if you had taken the time to make sure the guitar had a basic set up that would allow it to be played out of the box
I was overall happy with guitar guitars service but was very disappointed with the delivery.
I was told by text message and email the time it would be delivered, which was great. So I took time off work to be in for the delivery. A couple of hours after the delivery time I phoned to check where my guitar was, I was informed that the guy had been and no one was in. Total shite! I was told he was at a blue door, we have a red door. We also live in the country with only 10 houses in a 5mile radius, none of which have a fuckin blue door. He must of been lying or lost.
Its an exciting wait for a new guitar, exept when it never turns up.
Called with query about compatibility of interface with XP. GG called Focusrite for me and got me an answer within about an hour. Ordered 2pm, received before 9am the next day. Got a text before delivery telling me within which hour the parcel would arrive. The only problem - which didn't end up being a problem - is that if you want to return the item within 7 days and get your money back you have to pay shipping. And even if you take it back to a GG store and you bought it online you have to pay them a £20 handling fee or something. Overall however, This is the first time I've bought from GG but have made some presales enquiries in the past and they've always been really helpful.
The stuff arrived promptly and the courier they use was a class act. Items were very well packed ( keyboard was fragile)& but there were no problems. Thanks guitarguitar!
After my experience with guitarguitar I know I can buy with confidence in the future. I am delighted with the OCD pedal which was well packaged and promptly dispatched.

Said it would be there next day and it was. I was kept updated on the delivery time by text and it arrived within the 1 hour time slot it was supposed to. Can't fault on communication and delivery. Awesome!

A Very good experience using Guitar Guitar.
Lots of guitars from top manufacturers and less known high quality manufacturers, so no difficulty in finding a selection of guitars to choose from. The guys knew their stuff and their advice showed a real depth of experience. We were given enough time and space to choose without feeling pressured, and we are very happy with both the guitar we planned to buy and the amp we didn't plan to buy but came away with. We were encouraged to try some guitars we hadn't thought of trying, and I will return to purchase one of these in due course when finances allow. I was sufficiently impressed to purchase more gear from these guys subsequently online, and that was delivered promptly and problem-free.
Bought a second-hand pedal which worked apart from the speaker sim buttton. Emailed in the issue and got a reply quickly with a name of an assistant to take it to. Took the pedal into the store to see if they could fix it which they could but unfortunately the fix only lasted a couple of uses.
Away just now so can't take it in again but I'm sure the customer service will be good whether the pedal can be fixed or not.
