Great sewing machine and speedy, efficient delivery!
The machine I purchased arrived promptly and with all the extra items I had ordered. It was nice to have an email sent to me with the precise 1 hour slot when my machine would be delivered - very handy!!
I ordered the Janome J3-18 - which was quick and easy to set up and start using.
When I called up the company re a small query, I had, it was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Over all - very impressed!

I am afraid this machine is not working
The machine I ordered from you was delivered quickly but unfortunately on my second week at sewing lessons it has taken on a life of its own. The machine does not stop! I have had to stop the whole machine to stop the needle . We are supervised and the teacher tried it also she says its a faulty peddle so we tried it without the foot control and it did the same thing. A waste of an expensive lesson. I have lost confidence and obviously cannot use this machine . I would like your suggestions as this machine is obviously dangerous to use.

Sewing Machine Heaven
I bought my first machine on-line from GUR in December, a great little sewing machine for beginners but I found I had very quickly out-grown it. However I decided to contact GUR and ask if they would be prepared to part ex this on another model. I had a short list of 4 machines and rather than buy on-line, I decided that I really wanted to 'test-drive' to make sure that this time I bought the 'dream machine'. We traveled from East Yorkshire to Birmingham were GUR are based. I have to say that Palma and his team made us very welcome and the machine's that I had short-listed where waiting to be test driven! Wow! It was as good as being a child in a toy shop and there was a lot of 'toys' in that showroom! I eventually decided on a Pfaff Ambition 1.5 and the machine is fantastic. But what I liked most of all was that I was treated with good old fashioned customer service not often seen these days. Palma was knowledgeable, helpful and very patient. I have no doubt about recommending GUR Sewing to anyone they are a fantastic team of people to do business with.

helpful service when things go wrong
I ordered a genuine Janome sewing foot. The price was the same as advertised by Janome but with free postage. The item arrived promptly but I was disappointed to discover that it was a universal foot rather than the Janome foot I ordered. I rang GUR the gentleman I spoke was very helpful and apologised for the error saying he would investigate why the error had occurred. I returned the item and was sent a refund by return of post.

Excellent website; speedy delivery
I have purchased haberdashery & fabric from GUR Sewing Machines a couple of times now. Each time they send me a discount voucher for my next purchase! Their prices are already very competitive anyway, especially their "specials" - I'd definitely be looking seriously at their stock if I were in the market for a new machine. In fact, I tweeted to the sewing community on Twitter about the great value machines they had on offer a couple of weeks ago. Their response times have been great and delivery fast. Will definitely be using them in future.

This seller provides good customer service
I placed an online order for a quilting grid ruler that I needed. Very quick response in advising me there might be a short delay. All my emails were answered promptly and courteously. When I did find the quilting ruler locally after all, GUR was quick to cancel my order as requested, and gave me a prompt refund. Definitely a great seller to work with.

GUR to the rescue
Although i have been sewing for many years, i am no expert. So I now go to sewing lessons. Trust me to decide to make a coat! I got so far before it was plain that I needed a 'walking foot'--and quickly!
I went on line and discovered GUR. Ordered the item, and a couple of days later it was fitted and my coat almost finished.
Price excellent, delivery speedy, no damage to the goods- no complaints. I shall certainly use this company again!

WHERE IS MY VAT ?????????????????????????????????
ok, so the machines are good, i have a stitchmaster quilters dream from you and have just bought a pfaff select 150 its good too, except is has no needle down !!!!!!! never noticed that it did not have it because i just expected it to have it.
well the saga about the VAT, "we are waiting for the accountant" was all i got on the phone and no real reason why not, where was he the Cayman Islands?
so i never got my VAT and I have a number and all IE 3838725U you could at least give me a credit note for the VAT.

5 Star Quality Service...
I purchased the Janome 432s Sewing Machine from GUR Sewing Machines. It is a good quality sewing machine. Being new to this, I read the descriptions, price, delivery options and found it to be the best deal on the market. Even beating Amazon, with my free gift of extra feet.
I am very pleased with it, it has enough different stitches etc. without being over complicated. I am already becoming friends with it, and have nearly finished my first dress.

I bought this Janome machine because I owned one previously and was very happy with it. The J3-24 is a basic model but it does everything I need. I would use GUR again as I placed the order at around 2pm and it was delivered the following morning.

Bought a folding table from GUR, unfortunately they only had one in stock and it turned out to be damaged so it took longer than expected to get delivery. Having said that they did all they could to resolve the problem so I would happily use them again.
