Mixed bag of reviews so make your own mind up. Ordered a £900 cross trainer on line. After a week I had not heard anything from this company. 5 phone calls (4 just sent me to a voicemail) and 2 emails to try and find out when item will be delivered and nothing. When I eventually spoke to their warehouse, the promised return call never happened. Eventually gave up (if the sales experience mirrors after sales, quite frankly I'll take my business elsewhere) and cancelled the order.
ordered 8 commercial treadmills, 8 commercial exercise bikes, some weights, 4 cross trainers and loads of accessories. Got the oder in full within two weeks as promised by there sales staff, the price was the best, they also fitted it for free as part of the deal, can't believe the reviews above, l would recommend them GYM WORLD to anyone, thanks guys.
Having read some of the very negative reviews of Gymworld on this site after I’d placed the order (for a treadmill and upright exercise bike) I was nervous, to say the least! There was an initial delay as the bike wasn’t in stock, which meant that delivery of the two pieces of equipment was delayed by a few days. But a new delivery date was agreed – and everything happened like clockwork. The two guys were confronted with a massive treadmill to remove (from a tricky location) – but dismantled and removed it without any fuss. The new stuff was installed and tested – and they left behind a VERY happy customer. If my experience is anything to go by, this company is brilliant – and I’d recommend it to anyone. And no I don’t work for them – I’m a Church of England vicar!
Ordered a cross trainner on the 4th April 2012 via phone. They said they pass our name and address on and the manufacturer will call us later that day or the day later...no phone call. We then phoned back on Saturday they said the manufactures won't be in until Tuesday and that he will chase it up and phone me back...he didnt. We phoned back Wednesday morning and was told the manufacture tried to call on the Tuesday they hadn't because I was I all day. On Wednesday we called back and they said it was dispatched yet the manufacture hadn't called to arrange the date. We decided to cancel it as by this point we felt we would never see the cross trainer.
When we tried to stop the money via the credit card.Gym World took the the money on the day of purchase they legal have 30 days to reimburse the money the bank said.
On the 11th April the cross trainer turned up but we rejected it then as we had already cancelled it.
Bought it on Amazon for £95 saving £34.
Didn't trust them after reading reviews of items being out of stock but they were the only company selling the weights I wanted. I phoned them up to make sure they were in stock and ordered it over the phone instead of using their website. The weights arrived the next morning
if i had the powers and the finance i would sue this company for the time they have wasted, i am going to go out of my way to write a bad review about them, just incase i can stop any poor soul out there who may be considering using there website.
a month ago i ordered a treadmill online, and used the 36 month interest free finance option.
the next day i thought id give them a call to find out if they had recieved my 10% deposit. they told me over the phone that the 36 month option isnt available, even though they sent me an email a day before stating "thank you for choosing the 36 month finance option" anyways, so i called them, and they were accusing me like its my fault for this mess. they compromised and offered me an 18 month finance option to which i reluctantly agreed to
anyways they apologised and i was happy,
I call them a few days later and they say that the treadmill can take anywhere from 7 to 10 working days
so 3 weeks pass by and i am sick of waiting, so i call them up, and they say that they are out of stock, and i will have to wait 2 months before i can get the treadmill, as you can imagine i was so pissed off but i remained polite and didnt get angry at the staff
the staff member said that he could offer me a more expensive treadmill (that was worth £100 more) for the same price as the original one i wanted to buy, as an apology for the inconvenience
i told him i would consider this, and would call him back... then I looked online, and looked at there ebay page (they sell stuff on ebay under the username gymworld) only to find that they were selling the treadmill they offered me, for cheaper then the original treadmill i wanted to buy...
you cant even make this stuff up
when i called them back, i told the guy (simon his name was) that i looked on there ebay and the treadmill you were trying to give me a discount on was already selling for cheaper on the ebay page, to which he replied " oh im sorry i dont deal with the ebay side of things, i didnt know we were selling it that cheap"
honestly im just sick and tired of this company, i wish i had never found there crummy website... at the moment, they still have my £80 deposit and it can take up to 5 days to get my money back...
please please please for the sake of your own sanity stay far far away from this joke of a company.
Ordered a Keys Fitness KF-LEG leg machine which was discounted at 50% at the point of purchase and the sale completed.
Got an email from them later advising the item was out of stock. No advice as to when the item would be back in stock, which isnt good or even normal customer service.
After checking their website, it was found that the item had been put back to full price and they obviously didnt want to sell at their advertised and purchased price.
Wont purchase again from a company that operates like this and I cant recommend them either for these reasons.
Don't just take my word for it,look at the rest of the reviews here. This company needs to stop misleading people about how much stock they say they have. What a terrible company to deal with, it needs to be taken out at dawn like an old horse and shot dead. Ah,i feel better now.
I recieived the goods on time, unfortunatly one of the goods was faulty and i have spent over two week emailing and numerous phone calls trying to get the goods returned for a replacement. Gave up and Barclaycard are now dealing with it on my behalf. Will never deal with this cowboy out fit again
Avoid Gymworld at all costs is my recommendation, i wish i had done some more research on them so i would have avoided the hassle and time wasted I ordered a cross-trainer on 3 Jan and it stated next working day delivery, on the 5th Jan I contacted them to ask where my goods are, they then tell me the model i ordered is out of stock and won't be in till February, they offered me a replacement and i agreed. 2 days later i have to chase again to be told that the replacement item is also out of stock but should be in soon, almost 2 weeks after i ordered the cross trainer it arrived, however, the item was damaged I contacted them and if they tried to be more unhelpful i doubt they would have succeeded, with no faith in their ability to remedy the problem i canceled the order and fully envisage a battle to get my money back even after they have collected the item don't be tempted by their competitive pricing, it comes at a cost!
I'm not usually one to write reviews but I was a bit worried about purchasing from Gym World after all the bad reviews, so had to write about my experience with them. Although I was worried reading on here, I decided to go with them because they had a really good deal on the treadmill that I wanted. I phoned them up to put the order in for more reassurance and the guy who I spoke to was friendly and said that he would make sure that the treadmill went out the next day for delivery even though I phoned to order in the evening and near xmas. The item was sent out the next day and I recieved it the following day even with the snow. I was very happy with the service I got with my treadmill and wouldn't hesitate to order again.
I ordered my Nordic Track C2500 threadmill on 26 Oct (Tuesday) and was told it would be delivered that Saturday. The price was the same as other internet retailers but I chose Gymworld as a number of the other suppliers including Nordic Track itself were out of stock, plus Gymworld was offering a free mat (worth £50). I was sent an email confirmation, which was helpful.
Unfortunately the threadmill did not arrive, so I promptly rung Gymworld on Monday, who was apologetic and arranged for delivery on Friday (5 Nov). They also threw in a free heart monitor. They also offered an installation service (£65) but I said I would consider after receiving the product, which they were fine with. There was no pressure on me to decide then, which was good.
The threadmill did arrive on Friday, delivered by a two way team, as promised, but the mat and heart monitor didn't arrive. So I rung Gymworld straightaway, who promised to send them out that day for Monday (7 Nov). I also asked for an installation service as it looked very ccomplicated to me to install by myself, and they offered to do that on Tuesday (8 Nov). I asked if I could have it late in the day and we agreed on after midday. All my dealings were with Martin and Graham who were courteous through out and called back promptly when I left messages ( as they were engaged) or to tell me about the state of my order.
The mat and heart monitor were delivered by courier on Monday as promised. On Tuesday, the installer, Jason, rung me half an hour before he was due, to let me know he was coming. We met at 1pm, and he expertly installed the threadmill within 1.5 hours, showed me how to use it, and took away all the rubbish. Having seen the work involved in installation (there are electrics involved and heavy lifting), I am glad I asked for help, as there was no way I could have done it myself. But then, I am a doctor, not an engineer, and a woman.
Other then the initial missed delivery, everything has been excellent, and I would definitely recommend Gymworld. And the Nordic Track is absolutely brilliant!

terrible. avoid this company. They have not returned my money. I cancelled my treadmill order and they have not received a refund. They keep saying they will but don't. Staff do not seem to care.

I received my cross trainer in good time. However, it is fauly and they continue to ignore my requests for it to be sorted out or replaced. Have also never given me a receipt for my payment despite several requests. I have a new cross trainer which I can not use and they are not fulfilliung their obligations to rectify the situation. Avoid like the plague.
After looking about on the internet for a Reebok B5.7e excerise bike the best website was Gymworld after looking at some reviews on the company i decided to buy the excerise bike at £329. and £4.95 for next day delivery.
I just want to let everybody know my excerise bike was deliverd on time and in perfect condition i would recommend Gymworld to anybody as i will buy from this company again
What a rubbish company! Ordered product 3 times, nothing was delivered after wasting three saturdays waiting for product to come. Payment approved by bank, but no order came. Stock levels on site are bogus, and very poor customer service. Tried to call to sort it out, but was offered no help or assistance, I don't think they could care any less. I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS ORDERING ANYTHING FROM HERE...
I bought a cross trainer for my wife from Gymworld last week. I called to ask questions about the cross trainer before I bought it to be safe and they answered all my questions straight away. The cross trainer was delivered the day after I ordered it and my wife loves it. I might even have a go myself.
I'd definitely use Gymworld again.
I ordered a treatmill. Got a 'Free Gift' which was Saturday delivery. Upon paying, I realised that they added £7.95 delivery fee to the order. Tried to sort that out with them, but I was told that it is a mistake and will be refunded. To top this all up, I received a call from the courier company, telling me that they will not deliver (on Saturday) as they never 'received' the item from GymWorld. I phone GymWorld, which told me that they 'shipped' the item to the courier company on Wednesday already. When I said this is really bad service, GymWorld told me that they will then cancel my order, as I'm not happy with the service. Not even offered to try and find out what went wrong.
I read the reviews about their bad service on-line, but still thought it might just be isolate cases. Reading these again now, made me realise there is something seriously wrong with their customer service. What ever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
I ordered a treadmill for a Saturday delivery, I called on the Thursday to confirm and was told there was a problem it would be there next Saturday I waited in and called about mid day and was told that the courier won't deliver in my area on a Saturday. After cooling down I agreed to let them deliver the next Monday guaranteed P.M. I got home from work at 10am to find the courier had been at 8.30am and left a card. I called gym world and they said sorry but we don’t guarantee an A.M or P.M delivery. I have cancelled this order as I should have done at the first sign of trouble. Do not waste your time with these jokers go elsewhere. Customer service is a joke and they have proven to be completely unreliable.

Can't understand how Gymworld has got so many bad reviews when my experience was so good.
I phoned in the afternoon on the Thursday asking for advice regarding fitness equipment as I had no clue which type to go for nevermind Brands or Models! I spoke to Andy who asked me a few questions and we came to the conclusion that a cross trainer would suit my needs best and that a mid range machine would see best value for me. We settled on a Horizon Fitness Endurance 3 which looked to be a good compromise. Andy then went through the delivery options as I would not be able to bring such a heavy box in myself, so we organised a 2 man service to come to drop it off.
It has just been delivered, placed into my conservatory, and its only Tuesday Morning! Well done Gymworld, I will definitely be recommending you to my friends and Family.
I googled around for treadmills and found gym world. when speaking to a the sales adviser i told him what i wanted to acheive and he recommended horzion adventore treadmill , its so easy to use. over all i was very pleased with the sevice and dilivery i wiil be buying from gymworld again. ill be recommending gymworld to my friends.
I first e-mailed the company for warranty info on a bike I wanted, I received an answer 3 days after the e-mail.. Unfortunately upon receiving the item, though it functioned properly, part of it was damaged, and I couldn't find any information on the warranty GymWorld told me it came with!!!! So after a couple of e-mails and trying to get someone on the phone, I had no luck! So I couldn't claim on the warranty and i couldn't contact GymWorld about the faulty product!!
The bike was actually my 21st birthday present and so I was doubly disappointed with it as we couldn't afford to get me a new one... Terrible company and they shouldn't be allowed to trade after reading all these other reviews, I wish I had known beforehand as there were other online stores to get the same product. I hope they get shutdown ASAP.
Well to cut a long story short I would not reccommend using this company. The money was taken from my credit card the same day i placed the order, with a delivery of 2-7 days, 19 days after delivery still no item, alternatives offered were suggested to be better only they weren't. Have requested money to be refunded - not that i should have to as it shouldn't have been taken in the first place. DO NOT wait for anyone to ring you back if there's a problem, they didn't in a hurry. Am VERY disappointed as now i have missed out on other January deals. I shall be reporting this company to Trading Standards.
After reading the reviews, I took the precaution of calling the company to check they had the product I wanted in stock. Despite the website claiming it was in stock and could be delivered next day, the product was "on order" and unavailable. I shall be reporting this company to trading standards for inaccurate claims on its site.
The running machine is fabulous. They do not deliver what they say ...we had to chase and chase and chase and we got the delivery after 3 weeks (they stated alot less!) albeit the snow did delay by a few days. I took a morning off work to wait for the 9ish delivery - I rang at 11am to ask where it was .....it had been changed to the next day and they lied to us and tried to say they had spoken to my husband and rearranged it. I was with my husband so that was clearly a lie - Martin did not ring. I WILL NEVER USE them and would recommend you don't - left a nasty taste the team are very disfunctional.
I paid for Saturday delivery and nothing arrived. Chased up & was told internet order had not been booked through to the courier!!! Rebooked for following Thursday taking time off from work still not arrived and promised callback not happened...Will chase again, not a pleasant experience.

Do not use Gym World, they charged me for next day delivery and then could not deliver the goods on 3 separate occasions despite me calling the day before each and confirming dispatch. They are extremely poor, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Ordered online and then spoke to them. Was worried about some of the reviews written, but I can categorically say, this was unfounded and I found the people and company I spoke to helpful.
Multigym arrived as requested, all pieces complete and now using it to lose my flab.
