You need eyes in the back of your head

We like to visit Hamleys with the kids when we get a chance. On our last visit we bought some of the toys that are demonstrated on the many stands around the shop. We find these most interesting as the shelf stock to be honest is much the same as anywhere else. This time we found one of these offers a bit of a pain though. There were three variations of one craft kit. The pricing however was bundled into two's. So one kit was £10 or buy two kits for £15 so the third kit was at full price. This made no sense and they are probably missing a trick there. The biggest hassle though was on another stand where we were sold the 'large' product on special offer reduced from £40 to £28 and indeed it was priced at £28. We were however charged £40 at the till which we didn't notice until we had left London and looked at the receipt. I have called Hamleys twice already but they seem incapable of refunding the overcharge. Contact is also hit and miss over non geographic telephone numbers that cost the caller a fortune to be messed around. Disappointing this time!

Genuine Quality Yet Not So Costly

Having lived in NW1 and worked in SW1A, I regularly walked passed Hamleys on Regents Street and almost as regularly popped in - I've got a 5 year old son!

The staff can be a bit pushy and annoying at time but other than this very minor quibble, this shop approaches perfection. I simply adore it.

Prices are a tad higher because of the location but you can be sure that you're getting quality and what a choice. Huge floor upon huge floor filled to the brim with stuff that you (yes you) and your kids will love!

My tip is, buy the missus the Syma S108G Marines Cobra Attack RC Helicopter for Xmas...if she doesn't want it, then well...you know who will!! *snigger* ;-)

Christmas Magic

We went to Hamleys last Christmas with Fiona and Sophie what a shop the atmosphere was fantastic we spent loads but the whole experience was brilliant would recommend a trip to London just to go there we will be there again this December to pick up some more bargains

Et fantastisk univers

Generelt er Hamleys stedet for legebørn. Jeg selv var i london og købte min første gyro helikopter 3 channel. Den virkede upåklageligt i starten, men endte med ikke at ville lade op og så videre. Egentlig tror jeg det var min egen fejl, da LIPO batterier som mange fjernstyrede ting er udstyret med ikke kan tåle at blive afladt helt, men det havde de lige glemt at fortælle mig i kampens hede. Jeg tog kontakt til Customer service via mail og i løbet af en dags tid kom der et venligt brev fra dem, om at de var kede af mine oplevelser med deres produkt og at jeg kunne få alle mine penge retur, hvis jeg blot udfyldte det ene og det andet og sendte varen retur til dem. Så generelt er jeg tilfreds, men deres webside afspejler ikke de varer de har i butikkerne.
