I just bought a jacket and got it delivered overseas within 3 days, excluding the weekend in between. Just before I received the product, I wrote customers service since I was unsure about the size. The day after I got an overseas call from one of their employes, just to respond my email. It turned out the jacket was too small. I returned it, and got a refund within 3 days and the jacket in the right size. For me, this was an outstanding competent and impressive service to experience, and I would buy a product again at Harrods.com.
Bought 5 items online, including a rather expensive one for my Wife's birthday. Ordered on a next day delivery as well so would arrive day before birthday, everything seemed perfect.
Then the following day I got three separate emails telling me that three of the 5 items were actually unavailable (due to unprecedented demand!!) and that they are removed from the order! So left high and dry with the presents which were not easily obtainable from ordinary high streets up here in the midlands! So thanks very much for your rubbish shopping experience.
I cannot fathom how a big shop/online store such as yours does not have a live inventory linked to it. I own a business much smaller than yours and we certainly do!
The harrods website may well have, multiple good possible purchases on there, even if they are a little pricey.
The online buying function is at best the worst online shopping experience i have ever had, the money is withdrawn from the account (AMEX) and then a few hours later an e-mail is sent out stating payment failed. As far as the bank are concerned the money has been dutifully sent, but at the Harrods end they have refused it for an unknown reason (but seem to keep it in there pre-authorization faze), after multiple phone calls and e-mails, the money was returned on the 9th day, eventually throughout this near 2 week process i managed to track down one relatively helpfull member of the Harrods direct team "Hardeep" if & when you have this issue i would advise dealing with her.
Upon return of the above mentioned money, i was informed that there wont be any further issues, so submitted the relevant funds again to the tune of inexcess of 2000 GBP, but to my disbelief the exact same thing happend again, money was taken from the account then refused by Harrods (without explanation again), so here i am sitting waiting for the money to be returned which may be another 10 days, the only difference is that this time and from now on my custom will be taken else where.
"If you intend to sell luxury/exspensive goods, then i suggest that the service you provide meets what you put on your shelves, and it would be a good idea to have answers for questions like; why you turned your nose up at the money that was sent from the account (twice)?"

Not only do I work there but I would like to give them four stars. They’ve only dropped one star due to the fact that they are a little bit expensive for your average customer. I love to spend my money here and I get some great discounts on clothes. I love to treat myself to a new dress from time to time. Harrods stock some great products, if you've never been then I suggest next time you’re in London just drop in and have a look around, you'll be surprised at what you can find. There is something for everyone in this store.

Harrods web site is lovely, easy to use and lots of information about the product that other companies seem all to often to forget. Plus they still allow you reward points even when ordering on-line. Well done Harrods for a nice easy to use website
I also love Harrods. I have shopped with them several times, and everytime the shopping experience has been to my fully satisfaction.
Once a dress was too big (not Harrods fault, but the designer was "up-sizing", and it took just one phonecall to a very polite customerservice agent to get set up a return for the dress, and a delivery of an other dress a size smaller.
