The new EU laws made price increases unavoidable, but it has helped root out the rubbish. Healthspan supplements quote standardised ingredients which should allow you to compare with other companies. However most of the others don't actually tell you what the active amount of ingredient is, so "1000mg fish oil tablet" means nothing unless you know the amounts useful/active ingredients.
Don't be fooled - just because some companies offer more tablets and/or more ingredient for the same price you may not get as much of the active ingredients so the cost will actually be higher.
Personally I have never had a problem with delivery times and have been using Healthspan for many years. I have no complaints whatsoever.
My joints are very painful. I almost could not walk. It was only thanks to Optiflex ® Glucosamine HCl 1,500 mg I now absolutely no pain. I am very happy that I can walk again and even do jogging.
Slower deliveries of products that are getting much more expensive. I shall be looking for a new supplier next time.
Edit: They have just told me that their products are shipped from Holland (to me in Spain) and must pass Dutch customs and then Spanish customs 'before entering the local delivery system'. EH! We are all in the EU so what's all this about customs? Amazon stuff from UK and Germany arrives in 3 days!
the "less than generous" £2 off customer loyalty email offer keeps coming - but read the small print - you can only use it once even though they keep emailing you saying use before it expires.
I cannot warn you enough not to use this business - I am now 23 days from placing my order and it is still incomplete - they refuse to accept the fault is theirs. To complete my order I have chased them - their email address is on a server that has been down for 4 days and their live help function does not work...so on to a customer service agent and her supervisor both continue to stone wall me and my request - this request is to acknowledge that they are in the wrong and to rectify it to send my missing products out quicker than 10 days...a firm NO is so far the response...I am now awaiting a call from further up their food chain. I am now also researching the source of their products as if the front end of the business is this bad I want to know where these vitamins are coming from.
Love Healthspan, their products are better quality than the more expensive ranges from the likes of H&B. I suffered with terrible knee pain, even walking was painful, but after finding a combination of their rosehip and chrondomax tablets, I have no pain at all and I can walk or even run all I wish! Only think I would say that I don't like is the packaging. I like that they are slim enough to be posted so you don't miss parcels etc however the lids NEVER stay on and it's a bit of a pain. Please healthspan, change the lids so they are hinged or clip on as opposed to the ones that fall off constantly.
I've been impressed by the quality of the products and the delivery times, the web site is easy to use and I can always find what I'm looking for. I really like the 'what I use this for' entry on the user comments.
I dont like the new packaging, the packaging for my glucosomine manages to scuff my fingers every time I try to open them! I really would like to be able to order a trial size of things, I have to order 100 and then if they dont work for me or upset my stomach I end up throwing most of them away.
I have purchased supplements from this company for many years, having moved from my previous supplier due to price hikes.
Up until now I have been very happy, but I have noticed that the quantities in some of the packets have dropped from 180 to 120 or 360 to 240, making the annual cost somewhat steeper.
Although I only take four supplements, I have reduced my annual cost from £64 to £52 by switching to another supplier.
I found the product easy to order with an easy to navigate website. The product took about 10 days to arrive. This is the only herbal product that has actually helped to ease the uncomfortable effects of menopause. I highly recommend the product and Healthspan!
The products were reasonably priced, by comparison with my usual supplier &.with the offer code, definitely cheaper. Delivery time & packaging were sound, but I wasn't very happy with the internal, individual packets, as some of them had been removed! Perhaps this was done to minimize posted packaging, but I still found it off-putting, especially for first trial of this company. It looked like I had ordered an odd quantity of these tablets & these had been taken from a larger pack. In fact, I had ordered a standard amount, ad per brochure. All in all, not a bad experience, yet not a great first impression either!

As part of a larger order, I purchased a packet of Passion Flower RelaxAid
and was surprised to note that the expiry date on it was 09 2013 (Batch No 0003/09) - surely a very short timescale for a product bought in mid-August 2013?
I wrote to query this, thinking it was an old packet which had somehow slipped through, and received a terse and somewhat downputting reply from a Product Information Specialist, telling me that she had worked out that I had exactly the right number of days left to finish the packet before the expiry date - despite the fact that I had said I use this intermittently, and the pack instruction suggest that it only be taken when needed.
She also told me that there was a statement on the webpage that this product was being phased out, and had a short expiry date (no reduction in cost, though, I notice!) However, this statement appears only on the 'more details' page, so is not visible to the repeat purchaser who only hits on the 'add to basket' button.
The whole tone of this reply to a perfectly polite query was brusque and unfriendly - suggesting that the customer service department sees customers as a nothing more than a pain in the neck.
I have used Healthspan regularly for a number of years but, regrettably, this really makes me think that I should try to find another herbal supplier with a better customer attitude.
Really pleased with their website. Prices included VAT, unlike so many others, so you knew immediately what you were paying instead of having to add 20% on to everything. Order was delivered within 5 days, to Scotland. Can't fault them.

Been taking multi vitamins gold for at least 2 years ..brilliant they made me fill soo much better as have lost 8 st on slimming world & kept being ill with colds etc...Has a virus that lasted over 3 months sooo decided as mum takes healthspan products that would find a multi vitamin that would cover everything but lately just has another virus & I'm high in iron soo back on the website & found one without iron soo hopefully these will help instead ..

At 74 years old and a keen golfer playing 2 or 3 times aweek my knees were giving me terrible pain and i was thinking of giving up golf,but a gift from heaven healthspan at last a product that does what it says I started to use optiflex glucosamine HCI 1,000mg after about a month I can play golf 5 times a week with very little pain. As the result for the first time in years I am going on a golfing holiday for six days, can't thank Healthspan enough. This product is a must for all you senior citizens.
I was looking for GMP (good manufacturing practice) supplements and found Healthspan, I'm glad I did. I've tried varous brands before and had little or no results. These products work and are much cheaper. The reason I was after a company prodiving GMP supplements was simple, they gurantee that the active ingredients are in the pill/capsule. Wish I had known this years ago! I really do feel the difference.

Used to be a good company to deal with but since they changed delivery system items have taken longer to arrive or not arrived at all. No apologies whatsoever despite being a longstanding customer.
Also advise checking ingredients of many of their products - aspartame and titanium dioxide are not for us thanks.

Brilliant service from this company. I have used them for many years and always had delivery within days. The only time I ever had any problem was when one of the omega capsules split in the box and the rest became sticky. Healthspan, replaced the whole box immediately - you can't get better than that. I have used Healthspan for years and have always found them to supply good quality products. But, not having any medical training I relied on my own impression of the efficacy of their products. Yesterday my fiance was told by the GP that he needs to do more to increase HDL following recent tests. I asked if it would help to take Omega 3 (I have used it for our dogs for years !) and he said to be wary as there are lots of poor quality oils out there. When I said I bought from Healthspan, he said "Oh, they are absolutely fine, unlike a lot of companies, they stake their reputation on the quality of their products" So allowing for the fact that "fine" to a Scottish doctor probably means excellent to most other people, don't just take my word for it, my GP trusts them too.
