Bordering on criminal

Do not use under any circumstances... They always deliver late... and very often, not at all...

And to cap it all, they lie. The couriers say they deliver when they do not...

Customer service is also awful...

Difficult to believe but, WORSE than YODEL!

Having had great difficulty with this delivery service in the past, I decided to have my consignment shipped to my work address instead of my home (they couldn't find my house even though I stay on one of the most popular roads in my city). I work for a VERY large retail organisation within a massive retail park in Glasgow. However it would seem that Hermes don't recognise the post code, name of my company OR the address provided as their webtracker says "post code error"

Please try harder Hermes, it's not that difficult!

Excellent affordable courier service

I'm quite surprise to hear bad reviews about Hermes. I've got no problems with them at all. The old man who delivers my stuff is really lovely & if I'm not around he'll leave a note with his mob no. & redelivers it. If he can see my car outside he'll patiently wait for me to open the door & if I don't hear the doorbell he'll knock on my kitchen window. I've sent some Parcel last Saturday to 2 different addresses & by Tuesday they both received the parcels. So yes I'm happy with their service & have not encountered any problems. It probably depends on the delivery man at your local depot.

terrible company

Waited in for a delivery from next which was scheduled to arrive before 2.00pm, at 2.45pm it still had not arrived so i decided to track my parcel. i was amazed to see that acording to Hermes the package was put through my letterbox at 2.40pm. What a load of c--p i would love to see how a duvet set could be cramed through a small letterbox.

Never had a good experience with this company!

I have never had a parcel delivered to my address by Hermes.
The driver seems to have a favourite neighbour at number 17 (we're number 28!) and takes all our parcels there instead. He does not bother knocking our door, just goes straight there. The neighbour is understandably getting irritated by this.
Sometimes he drops a "sorry you were out" card, sometimes he doesn't. I am always at home at the time.
They are truly awful. You PAY for DELIVERY. This is not good enough.
I not actively avoid any company known to use this 'delivery service' because it's too much hassle to hunt down your items once they've been delivered... somewhere.

Couriers lie and customer service do nothing

On 'track my parcel' said attempted to deliver twice but I waited in for 2 full days and no one turned up and no card put through door. We have numberplate recognition where I live so I could prove courier never came near my house, but when you ring up complaints line, they just say they don't deal with the public and could do nothing. What rubbish and a waste of 2 days.

always disappointing service

Couriers are often rude and unprofessional. Parcels rarely delivered, as they either push a card through even when you're in or don't turn up at all.
I had to stop using 2 companies because they used Hermes as their courier.

Really Bad

What can i say, they are just bad, really bad. Claiming they tried to deliver twice but we have a cctv system and the only person who delivered or came close to the door was a royal mail guy. When i told the retailer i will be more than happy to provide the cctv footage for both days, they went back to hermes and the answer was, we are sorry it actually didn't get delivered.

Unable to deliver?!

According to my tracking link the courier needs to 'attempt to redeliver' as it couldn't be delivered, despite the fact that it was to be delivered to a work address that is a car sales company and therefore there is obviously always staff around and a receptionist on duty. My gift is now going to be redelivered, but the next date will be tomorrow... which is after mothers day!

The Worst Courier Ever With Goods Never Turning Up and 'Claims' of 'Delivered'

I ordered trainers from an online retailer and waited patiently. 10 days later, after much chasing, I saw an 'Out for delivery' on the tracking and spoke to the retailer as Hermes wont deal with the end customer directly. Imagine my surprise to be told that "it shows that they attempted delivery Saturday." That's funny, as I was home all day. "Where's their calling card?" I asked the retailer, as nothing was pushed through the letter box: just in case i didn't hear someone knocking on the door 2 feet away from me, or the buzzer that rattles the house. And so I waited...2 days later, still nothing. Its now 2 weeks on. Suddenly, when checking the tracking page, I see "Delivered". I was excited now, and rang home as I was at work. "What time did they deliver the package honey?" "What package?" was the reply. "Well, the website says 'Delivered' ", was my response. That led to a trek around the house, the garden, neighbours, looking in bins, and half of the neighbourhood and a call back. "Nothing". "What about a calling card in case it was left with a neighbour?" "Nothing," is the response again. "You were home though?" Yes," was the reply. By now a familiar pattern is emerging. So a call again the the retailer. "No delivery, no calling card, and we have been home on every day that delivery is claimed," is my response. "So sorry. We will keep chasing, but we might have to claim back on this one." So, after 2 weeks, not only do I not have anything, but this 'courier' has made some bold claims regarding delivery for goods that have never turned up and obviously has never heard of a calling card that can provide evidence of claims of delivery attempts . In the absence of this, what do they base their claim on? My tip would be that you check what courier a company is using for delivery, whether this is 'Free Delivery', one that you are paying for. If you see 'Hermes' call them and request another. You might find that you are out of pocket for goods never received and yet the retailer is being told that it was 'delivered' by Hermes. Who does the retailer believe? Avoid this company at all costs. Its not worth it.

The worst parcel delivery company

When we see that Hermes are the designated delivery company for a parcel our hearts sink. 3-5 days delivery, forget it. Every parcel that has ever been delivered to us by this company has been very, very late and leaves us trapped at home in fear that we will miss the miracle of an actual delivery. On the tracking page we follow events with bated breath only to be continually disappointed with the stark statement 'access problem'. We have never had an adequate explanation of what this actually means. The delivery we are currently waiting for has taken 8 days since the order was generated and 6 days since it was received by the local courier for delivery to our house. Twice we have seen on the tracking page that there has been an 'access problem', on one of those occasions the 'access problem' was reported a 12pm whilst another parcel (already two weeks late and also damaged in transit) was actually delivered at 1pm! Apparently, although no circumstances changed, Hermes managed to deliver one parcel but not the other, total exasperation. Oh, and because we are merely the poor suckers who receive the parcel we can't communicate with Hermes directly. Quite the worst courier.

Dreadful service. Liars

asos should use another delivery service. They lie all the time. They have just sent me a text to say they tried to deliver my parcel but i was out. I was standing by the front door at the time. This is the second time it has happened. N they are complete rubbish and you cannot get through to ASOS to complain.

LYING B*******

Been tracking my parcel: "17.57 delivered to letterbox"
Except it hasnt be delivered. I Was in all day, Plus the item wouldn't fit through a letterbox.
Also we have CCTV cameras which view the door, and each way up the street
as we are the only building on the whole street! Nobody even drove down the road let alone delivered a parcel!

Das ist der Slogan.....Ich habe meinen Koffer zu meiner Kur transportieren lassen. Als er zurück kam, war die Hartschale gebrochen. Seit gut einem Monat telefoniere ich mit den Kundenbetreuern der Firma und muss mich verarschen lassen. Immer wieder ein neuer Bearbeiter und immer wieder die Antwort: "Ich verstehe auch nicht, warum sie Ihr Geld nicht zurück bekommen"
So ein Verein hat kein Vertrauen verdient. Für mich heisst es: Nie wieder !!!!

Driver signed for my parcel and left it outside!!

When I inquired they first said it was signed for by myself, when I proved I was out of the country, they claimed it was signed for by a neighbor, unfortunately due to the number of deliveries every day, they couldn't recall which one, how convenient ?
There are only two neighbors on my floor, and i trust they wouldn't have stole it, so who's left ??

This has happened lots of times with this company
they have not been any wear near my property.
When i asked driver about being unable to deliver the previous day he just used a lot of very agresive gestures & language .towards me.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Stay in all day and courier does not turn up. This is not a one off occurance! In addition Hermes have declared on tracking that my parcel had been collected and was in transit. TOTAL RUBBISH. Over a week later and I am still trying to get Hermes to collect.
Never any apology from Hermes and compensation refused. In my opinion a delinquent cowboy operation that should be closed down.
IN ADDITION, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT REFUND!!

One (and final) attempt made when someone was in?

Had one drop-card left when someone was in the house, no contact details, dropcard number didn't register as valid with their website tracking and Contact Us option refers you back to retailer. Groupon then took a week to get back to me by which time the goods had been returned and I cannot now get them. Am complaining to Groupon also!

9:40 - start thinking how to write a review on this since this company has many negative reviews,I started freaking out
10:10 - finally writing
few minutes ago my door bell rang and theres and old lady looking for me holding my parcel. if she wasn't with the phone-like think asking for my signature id probably think she was the one whom the parcel man left my parcel with. (with a small hole enough to see whats inside) well, I was grateful that i did really received my thing.
