I ordered a pair of £1000 ex demo speakers. They were sent carefully repacked to original packing standard and even had external black plastic wrap which is unusual for large products but shows their attention to detail.
Given 1 hour delivery slot which was honored.
Refreshing to see a company that still prides itself on service.

I bought a pair of KEF Q300 speakers for £449. But due to some reasons I had to return the speakers within 03 days. I had to pay for my own parcel (delivery to hifi gear) on top of that they took 02 days to "assess" the speakers state then they charged me a further 10% of the total cost that was about £47 as a "Restocking Fee". they provided the refund of £402 which never showed up in my bank account for next 05 days. their tones were completely different while i was buying from them from the dry tones while i sent the speakers back. to be honest I would not recommend hifi gear to any body...
It is hard to write a review on HiFigrear as it sounds as if one is going OTT, but I think they are one of the best places I have dealt with on the web. I got exactly what was ordered, well packed and the amplifier was up and running 48 hours after the order was placed. Absolutely excellent.
I ordered a pair of headphones and within an hour they telephoned me to make sure delivery the next day was convenient for receipt. Excellent communication from the company and the courier who arrived to the minute as pre-advised first thing in the morning. Could not have been better. I would highly recommend them

I bought a pair of Sennheiser earphones from Hifi Gear. These were a very expensive purchase and the product had been hard to find from any other retailer in the UK. The customer service was prompt and reassuring. Delivery was fast and as promised and I am a very satisfied customer.
The entire on-line purchasing experience was a pleasure from the very beginning. Loads of useful information on the website and it was easy to navigate. Delivery was not only speedy, it was also very user-friendly. The allocation of an hour slot by the delivery company made everything stress-free - no worrying that I might be out when my purchase arrived. All in all, I cannot recommend Hifi Gear too highly.
The guy at the end of the phone was extremely efficient and helpful. I had a specific technical query and rather than bluff he asked a specific technician and called me back with an answer and a clear recommendation. I added to my order at the last minute and he went out of his way to ensure that both items got repackaged and caught the courier. The delivery was super efficient - I got a text two hours after ordering confirming next morning delivery, a text the next morning to give me a 1 hour delivery window and the products were on my desk by 9.45. And that was FREE delivery... when it's free it usually takes a couple of days.
I remain really pleased and impressed with the friendly service offered to me by HIFi Gear in Hereford. Despite living in Devon, three hours drive away, I shall almost certainly use them again and will look forward to visiting them personally in Hereford.
The advice they gave me was professional and expert and after several items were supplied to my very aging hifi system I can now play my vinyl once again. Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band has been thoroughly re-vamped and is no longer distorted !
I came to Hifi Gear in Hereford in search of a company who were prepared to demo loudspeakers in a relaxed, professional unhurried way. After experiences of John Lewis (nice stores but difficult to try anything out and very limited for real hifi separates) and Richer Sounds (the less said the better), I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the old fashioned approach of courtesy, helpfulness and expert friendly advice could still be found in the high tech age! Trying out loudspeakers was more enjoyable than I could have hoped. Above all, the advice and service provided by Jamie and his colleagues was the key to my wife and I being able to choose the speakers best suited to our listening style. I can not recommend HiFi Gear more highly and would urge anyone who needs advice coupled with an excellent range of AV products to contact Jamire before making any decision. Next time, HiFi Gear will be my first port of call!

Emailed them about a zeppelin air late one night had a reply at just gone nine the next morning answering any queries I had in a plain ,straight forward easy to understand manor with no pressure to buy. When I did order communication was excellent and delivery was free and next day. Overall the buying experience was excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again

I believe in honest reviews. HiFi Gear was not my first choice but when John Lewis repeatedly kept going out of stock(just hours after an email telling me more stock had just arrived), I looked for another Sonos Sub stockist and found HiFi Gear. I must admit to being a bit doubtful when their website said the item was in stock AND for the same price.
I needn't have worried as the item was in stock, was despatched promptly and arrived quickly in perfect condition.
Have just ordered another piece of Sonos this morning from HiFi Gear and didn't even think to look at John Lewis-well done.
I needed a new cartridge, but the one I was after had been discontinued. HifiGear recommended an alternative that I have found to be excellent, fitted the cartridge and set it up very well, all for no extra charge. They were helpful, friendly and professional at every turn. They even dusted the deck.
When I rang Hi-Fi Gear to enquire about a Grado Cartridge, they were helpful, knowledgable, informative and reassuring. The information was spot on, they helped me choose the correct cartridge and nothing was too much trouble. I then ordered the product, they phoned me to tell me when it would arrive, including tracking of my order. When I emailed them to say I received the cartridge; they again were helpful with my next enquiry.
I was entirely satisfied with using the website and delivery of the cable i bought. The reason i didn't give 5 stars was the cable that i ordered obviously hadn't had the care you may expect, taken of it. Its a flat cable and was twisted round and pulled tight into a knot in the middle. For an audio/hifi store i would have expected that integrity of the cable would have been a higher priority than quicker packing. I will no doubt return to your store in future as the item is good quality but would hope that the employees take better care with customers items. Thanks all.
I bought the KEF Q300 bookshelf speakers on Hifigear's website. The site was very easy and straight -forward to use.My speakers were delivered the next day. Fantastic service. Highly recommended.
I ordered a turntable from HiFi gear and required a specific delivery date and they were only too happy to oblige. Very high level of personalised service in addition to all the great stuff they sell. Will definitely be using them again in the future.
We wanted to buy a DAB all in one box system, but were not sure whether that would be suitable as we do like decent sound and had always had separates previously. We had done a lot of research on the net, but being of a certain age like to go and talk to someone. Hifi Gear could not have been more helpful, both Jamie (store manager) and Alex are very knowledgeable and were able to demonstrate the various options we had to satisfy both our requirements regarding the sound and also the budget. We ended up with the CEOL N8 and a pair of Wharfedale Diamond speakers, and are absolutely delighted with our purchase. The N8 is networked, so no noise! As we live in a dodgy signal area it is ideal. The sound is terrific, and beats our existing system (which to be fair although expensive is getting on in years) hands down. We managed to set it up and get it working on our own, but had problems getting the Airplay feature to work, we talked it through on the phone and then Alex came over and sorted it for us, you can't get better service than that., I would recommend this company and it's staff wholeheartedly. Will definitely buy through them again.
