I bought the QED 10 mm heat-shrink to finish off a set of high-quality speaker cables that I was putting together (mostly from QED components, hence the choice). The service was excellent; when they realised that they did have any in stock they telephoned me straight away. This was very refreshing, most companies just email! They explained that I could choose other heat-shrink kits. I declined and explained why I had chosen that item. They were very gracious and said that they would send out the kit as soon as it became available, which they did. A great company: great service, seriously competitive prices and speedy delivery. What more could you ask for?
Was looking for a Zeppelin, and found an ex-demo model for £100 less than list price. Free delivery two days after the order placed, kept fully up to date with delivery times. Zeppelin looked in pristine condition, except for a flat battery in the remote, and a spare battery was enclosed to replace this. Exemplary service, would definitely buy from them again.
I'm a little dim when it comes to techie stuff but had an idea what I wanted to get my husband. When I spoke to Jamie he not only helped me with my questions but he also offered alternatives, one of which I purchased. Jamie comes across exceptionally well. He is patient, happy, knowledgeable and gives a very professional, front line impression of Hi Fi Gear.

Excellent service - saved £100 on the purchase on my Zeppelin Air and apart from a 1cm white scratching on the rear of the speaker - cant see it when its against the wall. The device is all but perfect.
Delivery was swift and on time, was advised it would be with me within an hour window via a mobile text message the day prior to its arrival. Faultless :)
I bought this ex display item, it was as new, which is what hifigear described it as.
I telephoned to confirm the cosmetic status and packaging in relation to an ex demo model and my mind was put at ease questions quickly answered and no hessitation in stating that if I was not satisfied then I could return the item for a full refund. I made my order online and the service lelve of the carriers and delviery was fantastic. A timed delviery slot and the ability to reschedule at will. I rescheduled the delivery accordingly and it arrived exactly as stated well packaged on time in immacutalte condition as new. The service level was just fantastic all round.

Recieved my zeppelin speaker two days after ordering.Communication from hifigear is excellent .I saved £100 by buying from them .The speaker is brilliant in always.I reccomend this company to anyone who wants a zeppelin air .
I purchased an ex display speaker at a discount of 20% on the original price. It arrived perfectly packaged and in superb condition. The delivery tracking was a great help and we were able to make sure someone was available to sign for the package. I would be delighted to recommend this company to anyone and would definitely purchase from Hifi Gear again. To top it all off the sound quality of the speaker is superb and we are over the moon with our purchase.
I ordered a new product online but received a phone call next day, from a member of staff, telling me the product was not yet in stock. I said I would not cancel the order providing the item was expected to arrive in the next week or two. However, I now find my credit card has already been debited with the cost of £399 with no sign of the goods arriving. I am not very happy about that and I think I may cancel the order.

My wife has been wanting a B&W Zepplin Air for a while now and as her birthday is coming up, I started looking. £500 is a bit of money, but I managed to find an ex-demo at HiFi Gear. I called in to find out the condition of the unit and was assured that it was almost as good as new. I also enquired about the updated firmware and again was assured that before the unit shipped all firmware would be the lastest version, updated by HiFi Gear in-house Zepplin specialist. After buying the unit, it arrived swiftly within 2 days (the tracking was great and I was kept informed by email). The purchase price included delivery which made me happy, as it's never pleasant to realise you still need to add shipping when spending £400.00 pounds.
The service from HiFi Gear was brilliant and I will use them again and recommend them highly to anyone considering a purchase.
The Zepplin itself (I couldn't resist testing it) is absolutely incredible. As promised, you would not know it was ex demo, only for the opened manual & box. I researched a number of iPod docks and although there were some complaints about WiFi set up on the Zepplin Air (which I have not done yet, but again was assured that help was at hand in HiFi Gear), I am very happy to have choosen this unit. Using my iPhone 3G, the hair stood up on the back of my neck listening to the sublime sound it produces.
Knowing what I do now, I would have spent the £499.00 for a new unit. Whatever it is you may want to buy from HiFi Gear, go ahead, I am convinced you will have great service.

My order arrived promptly, however there was a problem and the unit had to be returned. The Hifi Gear team were very good and collected the same day and arranged a replacement to be delivered two days after. I found the Hifi Gear team to be very helpful and responsive and I am very happy with the experience I had with them - in fact I think I would say that it was excellent - I will certainly use them again and would fully recommend them to others.
Been thinking about buying the B & W Zepplin Air for ages. The price on this website made my mind up. I'll be checking here first before any future hifi purchases.
I ordered an Ortofon cartridge. The price was keen. My order was acknowledged immediately and was delivered next day. The product arrived factory fresh. Internet shopping as it should be!
I am always very dubious in using new on-line retailers for electronic goods because quality can be hit and miss.
The company installing my AV equipment recommended them and I made the purchase. Web site very easy to follow, tracking service as good as amazon and goods arrived on time, well packaged.

Ordered on a Friday afternoon, order was 'processing' until Monday lunch time when it turned to 'completed'.
Not a single email stating I had made an order or any updates to my order. I only found out it was due to be shipped on the Monday because I emailed in asking.

I needed odd bits and pieces of HiFi equipment for a sound system, parts of which were purchased whilst serving with the Royal Malaysian Air Force at Kuantan 1967-1970.
In particular, I wanted to replace the mm tone arm cartridge and stylus on a Lenco L75 (before Goldring/Lenco) transcription turntable.
After looking at what Hifi Gear could supply I ordered a suitable item and it arrived promptly. The system now performs like new!

Looked around for the best price on a Yamaha RX-V763 and found hifigear £20 cheaper than everywhere else at the time so I thought I'd give them a bash.
Big thumbs up as my order arrived the next day via DPD couriers (my favourite at the moment).
I'm always dubious buying from somewhere new for the first time but my experience with these guys has been great!
This has proved to be a great deck, ideal for me who wanted something not too expensive but as much quality as possible. The sound is very good with a lot of depth and separation in the tracks. It also seems to remove a lot of hiss and small scratches from my collection. I was also pleased that they delivered to Scottish Islands with no extra costs.

Bought an ex demo item for a great price, wasn't sure what to expect and whether I'd be dissapointed and wish I'd paid the full price....but I wasn't at all. Item in New condition with all original packaging. Only box was slightly more battered but still not bad. Have checked it works (as its a present) and it does. Couldn't be happier!

I was looking for B&W subwoofer and found it at best price on HiFi Gear. Their web site said the item was not available online and invited to call them. It was almost 7pm, but I decided to call, and to my surprise the call was answered. They were able to check stock and confirmed availability within seconds and then guided me through the online buying process. I had a few questions after ordering and followed up with another call and an email - all were dealt with promptly. Ordered on Wednesday - arrived on Friday, properly packaged and marked "fragile". Three weeks ago I ordered a B&W Zeppelin Air Ipod dock online, which arrived by courier next day as promised. Of course I had to play it straight away, and the sound quality was amazing. However, after a couple of hours it just went into standby. I rebooted and tried switching off but nothing would work. I rang Hifi Gear and they immediately offered to send a new unit out again by courier, and collect the faulty item. As I lived within easy travelling distance, I returned the Zep myself the following day, and sure enough a new unit was ready for me to collect. So helpful and pleasant to deal with, I would recommend them to anyone. I shop online regularly and if all retailers were of this standard life would be so much easier. By the way, the new Zep is brilliant.
