Easy. efficient with sound customer Support
HiFX made the movement of foreign currency easy and offered a far more competetive rate than the banks. This was my first transaction and the fact it went so smoothly ensures I will use there services in future.

Easy to use system
The spreads are a little wide plus the £9.00 charge on top adds to the cost and does not make it the most competitive, but it is seamless and easy to use.

A simple, straightforward and safe way to transfer money
HiFX were easy to register with - followed up with simple online instructions and a phone call to check my requirements.
I wanted to make an initial transfer of funds abroad and this was a straightforward processs to follow online. I was reassured that I had to provide evidence and confirmation of my personal details so that my transaction was safe.
I would not hesitate in using HiFX again.

Wasted time trying to open an account - terrible!
Terrible service from a company which couldn't fathom that in Qatar where I live we have postal addresses which are not the same as residential addresses because there is no residential postal system here. I jumped through hoops for about 2 weeks trying to open an account with HiFX only to have documentation rejected twice. The customer services guy that called me mixed up the two addresses and thought they were one address. When I said I'd had enough and not to bother with the application further, HiFX sent me a very bog standard email saying they were closing my account. How can they close an account that they wouldn't open in the first place? I'm glad I didn't send thousands of pounds through them - what a bunch of incompetents!

This can sometimes lead to a small number of people, such as yourself, experiencing difficulties with proof of address.
I realise it's deeply frustrating but I hope however you'll appreciate our meticulous approach is borne from a desire to look after our clients and their money.

Quick & Effecient Money Transfer Made Easy
They've done this before! and you can tell. The system is secure, speedy & effecient. It's a shame the Spanish banking system isn't as quick!

BEST EXCHANGE RATE
HIFX not only gives you good rate but also provide you very easy online system to make payment. I was surprised by the rate provided them i was using smart currency to make international payment thought they give good rate but when i had a call from hifx and asked for the rate i was shocked , since then i have been using hifx,

Very easy but rates are only moderate
Easy to use as a transfer can be done in just a few clicks but the rates are never as close to the market rate as they used to be

To ensure we offer great value for money (including banking charges, exchange rates and other fees), every couple of weeks we get an independent research company called DQM to check all the main high street bank/building society exchange rates.
As a result, HiFX has a hard earned reputation for providing excellent value for money, complete peace of mind AND great customer service if and when you need it. You may well find a smaller broker who is prepared to under cut the rates we offer to get you onboard. But will they consistently offer you these same rates for each and every transfer you make with them in the future? The easiest currency exchange transaction I have ever done.
I regularly change currency to send euros to Spanish bank account, this is by far the easiest way I have ever done it.
To be able to set up account, pay by debit card, without the hassle of going to the bank, or any transfer fees paying the money to provider, has been so straightforward and easy.
Will definitely use this service again.

Prompt and efficient service
This is the third transaction we have made. The process is very simple and efficient - from the time we decide we need to make a transfer to the time that the transaction is on the way is very minimal. HIFX keep us informed every step of the way.
When I made the first transfer I needed guidance through the process, which was given by HIFX staff on the phone.

Virtuous Circles
I recently had to buy a large amount of Canadian dollars in connection with a property transaction in British Columbia and to repatriate the surplus CAD following completion. At the outset I had some qualms about the process as my experience of such transactions is limited. So I was extremely pleased and reassured at the service HIFX delivered: it was highly efficient and professional and, without exception, the people I spoke to were also courteous and very patient. It has left a very good impression and I'm very pleased to recommend them.

A fast,efficient service-with excellent rates
Since l have used the Hifx service to transfer money to my overseas account,it has taken all the hassle out and greatly simplified the process.When l used my Bank the rates were less competitive and l was charged a fee,plus correspondence Bank fees.I am very happy with the service.

Trustworthy, Safe, Secure & Friendly Service when moving money.
I live in France, but my pension is paid in the UK. Every so often, I have to change UK Pounds into Euros. I started with HIFX a few years ago, I have found their exchange rates to be competitive, their staff very helpful & friendly & their efficiency second to none. I have recently recommended them to friends who have bought a holiday home in France. These friends now use HIFX for their business as well as their French adventure. I can't recommend HIFX too highly!!

Straight forward system that works quickly
I use hifx euro payments as they offer better rates than my bank and if processed early the payments are through the same day. I have already recommended this to service to others and they too are as impressed as I am.

I had to jump through a few hoops
Not a great service, not a bad one. It certainly seemed a lot more complicated to set up an account with HiFX than with rival firms but at least I knew I was in control of the entire process.

very good and very quick
I've used HiFx quite a few times over the past 2 years and have always found it easy to use and fairly quick. The time for transferring the money has actually increased over the last 6 months or so, so that the money arrives usually only a couple of days or so. The rates are very competitive and there are no (hidden) fees. I haven't come across any alternative yet and am very happy with the service. I would definitely recommend them.

How to make complex simple!
Transfering money abroad could be challenging to someone who doesn't do this very often: finding a reliable organisation to do it, finding a good exchange rate, and then how do you give them the money to transfer.
With HiFX it is a one Stop Shop where they take you easily through just a few simple steps to make it all happen. The exchange rate is clear, and you are provided with a simple on-line screen to tell HiFX where you want the money to go.
Best of all there is no transfer fee, and HiFX keep you informed by email and SMS on the progress of your money. It's completely hassle free.
Finally, if you do need to talk to soneone, then you just call them up and a friendly UK based person helps you out. I now use HiFX all the time.

Beware!!!
Beware!!!
HiFX are not able to let you know how much the transfer is going to cost you!!!
Sure they let you know they charge when you initiate the deal. And sure, you know the charge that your receiving bank is going to make - after all you have control of this.
The big problem is the charge skimmed by the transferring agent - which after all is the responsibility of HiFx - this charge is an unknown to you - the intiatiator.
The response from HiFX is
" Our payments are made by Barclays bank. All banks have the prerogative to choose the routing and any charges to be applied and we are unable to influence this. Thus you could experience this issue with all banks or financial services companies when transferring funds overseas. Taking this into account, it would be difficult for us to convey clear and accurate guidelines on this matter. Instead, we have taken the decision to include this information within our ‘common questions about this process’ and we also outline this information on the e-mail that accompanies the contract note that is sent to each client after a transaction. I have attached the link to this for your convenience. https://www.hifxonline.co.uk/faqmanager/HiFXFAQs/Private/Questions/are-there-any-other-charges.aspx."
So basically when you initiate the contract you have no idea how much is going to arrive!!!!!
And the response from HiFX is - you could experience this with any other bank.

I refer back to one of my original comment of " So basically when you initiate the contract you have no idea how much is going to arrive!!!!! " and note that you do agree that this is indeed the case.
It has probably not escaped your notice the public faith and confidence in the banking industry is not exactly soaring.
An inability or unwillingness on your part to inform your customers as to what fees will be deducted by the intermediary or correspondent banks is an ideal illustration as to why such public confidence is low.
You may truly believe that this gives your customers "complete peace of mind" but I would very much differ and I would suggest that WHEN this becomes more visible to your customer base you will find out who is correct.

I completely understand your furstration and it does seem crazy - but there are no fixed routings when sending money overseas and therefore it's impossible for us to accurately predict what charges, if any, will be applied by the intermediary or correspondent banks.
We used to cover the fees the banks charged however, more and more banks both in the UK and overseas, are increasing their international banking fees and so, as I'm sure you'll understand, it's simply not possible for us to do this anymore (i.e cover the unnecessary charges other financial institutions levy).
I've just checked the website and we try to make it clear that whilst we always send the exact amount of money you specify in the transaction, the bank receiving your funds – or an intermediary bank - may deduct fees before making the payment.
We're not complacent by any means and we're constantly looking at new ways of improving the services we offer in the future so watch this space, but as i said when it comes to offering value for money, complete peace of mind and the best security in the industry we honestly believe we offer a unique service.

Just register with HIFX and you can transfer money online easily and securely.
HIFX keeps you informed with emails and texts so that you know that their service is fast and efficient.
The exchange rates are good, but most important is that you don't pay any charges from your bank in UK or at the receiving bank which makes me feel extra satisfied!

It is so easy to deal with HiFX. Once logged in the screens take you through a logical sequence from obtaining a quote to placing an order. Progress updates are provided through email and text. The exchange rate, too, is quite competitive.

Excellent Service! Clear instructions & quick transfer!
I definitely recommend HiFX.
It was my first time to do an international transfer and I was very anxious how I could send some money from UK to Japan.
I enquired my bank, searched web, and first I found Post Office's International Payments. Then I found HiFX is the actual service provider for them. So I had a look at HiFX's site, and decided to use HiFX because it was offering the better rate.
The moment to click on the exchange rate was the most exciting part!
The transfer was complete within 2 working days, my money arrived safely at the other end. Excellent service, very comfortable. I will definitely use HiFX again, if I need to send money abroad.
