I used hifx to send a sum of money to Thailand I usually do bank transfer or western union and money is with recipient next day with bank or same day with western union. I used hifx on 29/04/13 and was told to expect 1-4 days, it is now 08/05/13 and still no sign of money in recipients account. The small saving I made using hifx has been swallowed up several times over by the many phone calls to Thailand to apologise to recipient for delay in transfer. In my opinion, if time is an issue, look elsewhere!

From looking at our records I can see that you booked your deal in the evening of the 29th. As the banks were closed when you booked your trade, the order was placed first thing the next day.
Due to the Thai banking system however we didn't receive it for two days. This combined with the bank holiday in the UK and the fact that you gave us your banks head office details and not the local branch details has led to the delay.
Not that it helps, but I completely understand your frustration. However I also hope you understand that the delays were completely out of our control.
