I've used this site uite a few times and have never had any problems, excellent prices and prompt delivery cant ask for more really, i've never had to return anything so i dont know about that side, but as i've not returned anything that probably says alot, love it

I had been waiting to purchase Dr Dre Solo headphones for my Husband for 4 months, i checked out the Website for the prices hoping they would come down in price as the in store price was £169.99, when i checked the Website out at the Weekend they had been reduced £144.49, Hooray, off i went on my journey in to my nearest town of Taunton, picked them of the shelf believing that they would be the same price( as all the other offer's that where on the site where on in the store) to my surprise they where full price, which i question & was told the sale price was only on the Web Site(which i was not keen on buying from as i wanted a shop to return them to if there where any problems) so i asked if they could do any discount for a cash buyer or throw in "Freebies" as a gesture of god will(no so luck) i left the shop with out purchasing them, thought about it for a couple of hours & went back to the shop picked them of the shelf & the Assistant(when i found one) went to get them from the store, he placed them in the box & then placed them into the sleeve that was out on the shelf, i requested a brand new box as the shelf box was scratched & damaged, he said there was not any more in stock, so i then asked again about a discount as the box was damaged, he just laughed & said "do you want them or not" to which i replied that as they are for my Husband as a gift & the box was just as important he may return them, which he replied he would not be giving any refund because of the box.I just hope these headphones are worth the £169.99 & hassle they have caused. The staff are rude un-helpful & need some Customer Service's skills, you also nearly have to beg for some assistance. I will NOT be shopping there again.
I bought my boyfriend a game for christmas to find out someone else had bought him the same one, I returned the game the next day to be told you I couldnt have my money back as I had opened it as there was no rapper on the game, even though the sticker was on the case its self, I advised there wasnt A rapper on it when I bought it, I asked to speak to the manager who clearly thought he was to good to speak to me and just shouted at me and said no you cant bring it back you've played on it, After a phone call to head office they said they was sorry by the way I was spoken to and I could have my money back I went back and spoken to the rude manager he throw the money back at me and said dont play on games then bring them back!
I have never shopped her again and to be honest you can find DVD's, CD's and games a lot cheaper on the web
I won't order from HMV again and unless you've got lots of time to wait for your item, recommend no one else does.
I ordered something for my daughters birthday on 6th of June, a week before the birthday; the item was in stock and the website stated it would be with me within 2 and 5 days. Its now 10 days later, the birthday has been and gone and item still not here! I did not have a satisfactory phone conversation with them either. Enough said!
I have purchased many things over the years from the HMV Online Store and have had no problems what so ever.
I used to write reviews on some of the items I purchased and they always put them out for others to read, but recently they don't put anything I review out. I just do not understand as my reviews are always in favour of their products and service?
Well this morning I received an order from HMV, it's a DVD set of 4 discs for the Channel 5 series 'Stobart Trucks and Trailers' Series One.
I cannot fault their packaging and prompt delivery service I would say ''EXCELLENT'', and the series is well presented on 4 discs in separate slim cases and all fits snugly in a slip case. I am looking forward to watching this superb series and hoping that Series 2 will soon come out for sell. Who will I be placing my order with?....well it's got to be good old HMV.
Hope they get their act together with customer reviews, I know they are having problems with store closures etc.....but I wish them all the very best for the future.

HMV needs to stick to its core values and what made it great. Yes by all means diversify, but stick to your core business which is music (not tech, clothes, etc.,) and also your loyalty programme is not exactly generous and is also inflexible. Also the staff seem less knowledgeable about music unless its in the charts and the prices are not really competitive - the format isn't working for me and as such I am looking elsewhere to buy my music.
Bestilte et par CD'er hos hmv, stod at de alle var på lager, fedt tænker man med det samme da man hurtigst muligt gerne vil have sine CD'er, med det samme man har placeret bestillingen modtager man sin ordrebekræftelse, men problemet lå i de kommende dage efter, modtog aldrig en bekræftelse på at mine CD'er blev sendt fra hmv's lager, gav dem en hel måneds ventetid, og efter denne måned var min tålmodighed brugt op hvilket resulterede i at jeg annullerede min ordre.
hmv profits areb down as is waterstones....well maybe if hmv started selling a better range of cds they might improve profits everytime you go into hmv there is less and less music and more and more clothes go back to what people want which is not t shirts...you cannot listen to t shirts......as for waterstones i buy loads of books every year but from wh.smiths and asda why because they are loads cheaper and still have a good selection...........

I have shopped in HMV a lot over the years and prefer spending my money instore rather than online.
When I have ordered online I have either had my item dispatched and recieved within 3 days or I have had to wait 6 days to be dispatched dispite it being in stock. This has happened 2 or 3 times and now if not dispatched in the time it states I just cancel and try and find the product elsewhere even if I have to spend a few more pounds.
One item I did order was meant to be 2 discs but was only a 1 disc CD so they should probably check their product details.
Not sure whether I would recommend their online service.

i ordered with them 14ish days ago with special delivery hoping to get it for new years eve! 13 pounds it was! when did it come it came 1 week later!! wtf!!

the only thing special about this is it mucked up new years!!!
No real complaints to report but beware some items are marked up quick a bit.
My order was delivered in reasonable time with good packing, but each item was sent individually rather than in one box/packet, surely this will cost them more (hence marked up prices?).
I've only ordered once from HMV, for two rare items that couldn't be found in the stores. They were cheaper online and even though they both arrived separately they arrived fairly quickly (one week) so I was pretty satisfied overall.
