After buying an AKG product from their eBay branch for a very cheap price and thinking that the product may have been counterfeit I sent a strongly worded email to them complaining. I ended up looking a bit stupid as they are a licensed AKG reseller. However their staff were extremely swift in understanding my original concerns and offered me to return the item if I was still not satisfied with their product.
I had been looking into a new sound system for my house for quite a while, but need some advice.
I called them a number of times and always recieved very helpful and friendly advice that was easy for me to understand.
Once I decided which one to go for, they did me a great bundle price and they sent it to me next day free of charge. highly recommended!
The order process is extremely slow (when ordering online); they'll process your order when they feel like, which can take days. They'll then take payment and leave you hanging about when your order will arrive.
Awful communication, and awful service - best avoided as there are many far better A/V retailers out there.

I have purchased several items off this company on different occasions, getting my components together to build my home cinema. The technical advice provided was clear and simple and really really helpfull.
The CI Manager made things sound so simple and even guided me over the phone.
I have only ever had an issue with 1 of the items i purchased (TV) it literally took a phone call and a helpfull chap called LEE from the returns department took care of the whole thing. They had a NEW one dropped off and the damged item collected at the same time. All of this was done within 3 days of me calling them.
Excellent Service
I actually ordered something from their Ebay store and it came the next day perfectly... Was very happy indeed! Until 8 months later - It started playing up. The speakers would turn on and off themselves.. They literally had a mind of their own.
I contacted home av's returns department who advised me to send the unit back or come in. I'm fairly local so thought I would pop in myself. I had one of their returns guys test it and it did the fault within a minute of switching it on (Thank god!)
They replaced straight away - on some products they have to send away if its over a month old - but mine they could swap :)
I have to say their service was fantastic. Nice and friendly staff and their shop is very impressive. Free parking right outside too which I wasn't expecting...
5 out of 5 stars and will safely say that I will definitely recommend to friends and family!
After successfully orderded my av receiver, couple of days later I get a email that my item is no longer available. After complain( was in stock ) , no answer. Not recommended :( Thanks
We bought a surround system and stands from there. The guys were friendly.
However, one of the speaker stands had a little dent on it and the screws all seemed worn. My husband wondered if it was used. Reading one of the reviews on here it seems they may very well just package used and returned products back up and pass them off as new.
Have not experienced their after sales service as did not bother going all that way back.
Agree with Rob entirely... Been there twice.
1st time was to buy a Yamha receiver - it was a quick & ease transaction (no tea & biscuits offered though!)
2nd time was to buy aKEF speaker system - sorted me out a great deal as I was a repeat customer. Very firendly and efficient but again got no tea & biscuits :(
Have not as yet dealt with returns as my stuff is working 100% but am extremely confident that they will deal with my issues efficiently.
You can just tell this company cares which is rare thing nowadays!
I have been shopping with HomeAVdirect for sometime now, and can honestly say that i have never been messed around. Any issues regarding returns have been dealt with in a professional manner. Excellent customer service, thats why i return there time after time. Very friendly staff, even offered me tea and biscuits as i waited.
Would strongly reccomend

I went to these guys and bought a Harman Kardon HKTS7 home cinema speaker system.
After setting up the system i realised the sub had Harmon Hardon written on it, the top of the capital K was missing. The sub was also making a ticking noise. I took it back to the store and the ticking had stopped but they agreed to change it , after some persuasion because the thing said Hardon it instead of Kardon. They only agreed after i said if they bought Calvin Klien keans and it said Calvin Hlien on it they wouldn't accept it.
The second unit would not even turn on. The sub had no power at all. So i took it back. You would think that most shops would be apologetic but homeav direct done something i had never seen any company do before. When i went in the guy told me he would have to book it in to be tested and i would have to wait 7 days. I told him there's an electricity socket right next to him and it takes 20 seconds to plug it in and flick the power switch on the sub. The guy i was speaking to would disapear at the end of every sentence to go call the manager and ask what to do. BE WARNED this is one of those companies where the manager is not in most the time and the staff have NO AUTHORITY to do anything, they even made me come back on a different day when the manager was there. Who turns a customer away with a faulty item because the manager is not present. Why is there not a duty manager always there.
The guy refused to simply plug in the sub and save me having to drive to them and back home, an hour drive, for a third time. He agreed that he would sending to their testing department who would plug it in and flick the switch on it within 24 hours and get back to me, the manager this time spoke to me.....over the phone, at which point he told me that the first sub i took back he sold to someone else, well done, you sold a faulty sub to someone else, very professional.
So i made yet another trip home knowing id have to come back.
I called the next day and was told they did not test it, instead they sent it Germany to be tested and i would have to wait for the item to reach Germany. I was shocked, they have dozens of electrical sockets around their show room, they could of saved me all this hassle by simply plugging it in.
I called them back and told them it was within 28 days i will be bringing back the rest of the speakers and wanted a refund. Only then did they agree to give me another sub.
HERE IS THE SHOCKER, they only gave me a new sub if i signed a piece of paper saying that if the item broke within the first year I WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THE STORE, even if it was within 28 days i accept the store WILL NOT HELP ME AT ALL. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A COMPANY PULL A STUNT LIKE THIS!!
I had no choice but to sign an agreement saying i would not go back to the store with the faulty item as they would have nothing to do with it. That is some pretty awful customer service.
They are so friendly and talkative when you are buying something. When you have a problem be prepared for the worst customer service you will ever get.
