As per many reviews below (the rest must be bogus, surely?): I ordered and paid £206 for furniture in November and received an email confirmation of payment and the order. After the promised 21 days, no delivery. I chased, they rang and very politely sweet-talked me saying they were busy with Christmas deliveries and would I accept delivery in the new year, with a refund on the delivery fee? I agreed. The new year came and went - no furniture. No answer to phone calls, no answer to my emails. They did answer two emails when I sent a FB message to them to repeat my emails, and I then got an email to say they were sorry but had to cancel my order and would like to refund me (which is what I'd asked for in the first place) but they couldn't find record of my payment. So I provided them with record of the payment, but still no refund. Now their website is shut down, still not answering phone or emails, or FB messages now. I'm trying to recoup the funds via Chargeback with my bank [External Link]. My advice? Steer clear of this 'company'.
I ordered a wardrobe and a Dressing table, rang up to pay and made it clear I no longer wanted the dressing table, lady down the phone said no problem & took my card details, 1 week later I check my bank to see that I've been charged for both items (for this to have happened, the lady must have had to have typed an amount into a card machine of some sort, so she basically LIED to me, still charging me for the item i didn't want there and then on the phone). I rang to complain saying i only wanted the wardrobe, i get some bulls**t excuse saying that "this is how the payment process works" blabla... So I'm thinking right whatever, "just give me my money back for the dressing table please", told ill get a refund in so many days. That day comes, no refund, ring up again, "Where's my refund?" receive further bulls**t, "that's strange, give it this many days for the refund to clear etc" for the second time, no refund by the day they stated AGAIN, then my delivery date for my furniture arrives, and guess what?, No Wardrobe either.. surprise surprise.
Unlike others, I only tolerated this crap for just over a month, I feel incredibly sorry for those who have waited for months and months, for 1000's of pounds worth of furniture.
I reported this company to trading standards, and got my money back through my very helpful bank.
Things to note about HomeKandi:
.They Never reply to emails .You won't even get a receipt for your order, no proof of purchase .They NEVER answer phone calls (i got through about 4 times, out of god knows how many times me and my boyfriend tried to call daily on separate phones in over a month) .IF they do answer your phone call, expect some serious bulls**t and sweet-talking .If you look at complaints on their twitter you'll see that most of the time, they will try to blame the customer
I bought my daughter & son in law a new bedroom set , wardrobe &,drawers etc for Christmas, ordered & paid for it in Nov13 , I haven't seen any part of my order yet!!!! I have tried to contact them via phone & internet 50 times, still made no contact with them.
Ordered a bed in November and was promised delivery in 21 days. Still waiting! This company has all phones on permanent answerphone and will not respond to emails. In the six weeks I have been waiting I have only managed to contact them twice and on both occasions received promises which were not kept. Don't know which annoys me the most, the lack of any feedback or the lack of the bed I promised my Grandaughter she would have before Christmas! This company really should admit to its despairing customers that it cannot cope with life in this market. Also noticed that a large portion of the constant stream of 5 star reviews posted (see Trustpilot.co.uk) appear to be bogus with many now being investigated for fraud! Steer clear of this company unless you want to be disappointed.
Ordered a chaise lounge approx 4 weeks ago still haven't received it! Numerous emails sent, keep being fobbed off, courier let them down then was told would be delivered 2 nd week in jan, but no specific date given, cannot get through to the telephone number provided! They said office was shut till 6 th jan, which is today, and I've heard nothing! My advice do not buy from here! Managed to get my money back which I'm so thankful for, unfortunately some havent! Are these people still trading because they need to be stopped! Never ever again will I buy online before consulting trust pilot for a review!
Please please please do not buy anything from this company! I am still waiting for my refund after 8 weeks of phone calls, emails. They do not return calls or emails. Despite me cancelling this order weeks ago. I have contacted trading standards about this company! Utterly appalling. The chair was for my elderly mother who was so disappointed when the chair did not turn up on the date promised. After weeks of chasing them I had to purchase the chair from another company who were exceptional. They chair was delivered in two days but now I am battling to get my money back from Home Kandi. I am now out of pocket and in these hard times I can't afford to lose £150.00. I will be writing to various media to get this company exposed. I will not stop until they refund my money.
After reading good reviews about this company on blogs, I purchased a chaise longue in Sep 2013. I thought the price was very reasonable, but more than that, it was the perfect size. Firstly, I received no purchase receipt from them via email which initially had me concerned. [Name] from Home Kandi did email to ask for my contact details and confirmed my chaise was ready to be shipped. I then had a series of emails and texts over the next few months saying that they no longer had the colour I wanted, but they could replace it with another colour, followed by another few emails saying the chaise would arrive soon. I was assured it was out for delivery 2 weeks ago, but it has still not arrived despite calls to a shady courier company who never seem to be able to find my order, or call me back. I am very skeptical that this is a legitimate business and that the chaise even exists, and have taken up the matter with my credit card company. I want to warn any future potential customers that I've had a very bad experience with this company, and I am concerned that they are still trading.
I purchased a headboard from homekandi on 30th November. I paid immediately thru PayPal. I have had no correspondence from them, and still waiting for order.
Sent emails to two different email addresses, called two different phone numbers, sent message via their website and via their Facebook page and heard nothing. Think I've been duped. Have contacted them again today will give them one more chance for them to respond or I will have to get a refund from PayPal. Not happy rather disappointed as their products look lovely and was going to purchase more items but will not be doing that :(
This company went missing with £2300 of mine, phones always engaged, (try it yourself). I got a few spurious emails, some in the early hours saying they could deliver the following week and they'd be in touch, they never did. I logged a claim with visa and got fully refunded, when they realised this they said they had "taken my order off the van". Nearly two months later I'm finally back where I was. I'm not sure this is a business at all, no proof exists that it is. Very bad experience and lies all the way through. I must say they are really polite and isn't that the best way to relieve a person of his money! Trustpilot did their utmost to stop me giving a bad review, clearly in cahoots with this company that has now gone bust. Your reviews are bogus and not worth a carrot.
I ordered Furniture for Bedroom Set from Home kandi. We received excellent customer service from them from the online order. Great service and reasonable price of bedroom furniture, they also have discounts. I will use them again soon. Thank you Ali for your follow-up on my order..
I was redoing my bedroom and looking for some old fashioned styled French furniture, something I've wanted for ages. I spoke to a really helpful lady on the phone who I told what my room decoration plans were. She was able to help me pick the most suitable pieces for the look I wanted. I ended up buying the Amelia Cream Rococo Louis Bed the Amelia Dressing Table and Stool set. It took a couple of weeks for my order to be ready, but it was so worth it! The delivery man was very helpful and put my furniture in the bedroom all set up for me. I'll definitely be back for more!
6 weeks later still not received my daughters bed £319 down including delivery.. Home kandi have stopped answering my calls, voicemails n emails which i have been constantly sending for almost two wks now. Need to open debit card dispute as no refund. My daughter has a disability and when i had a date for delivery i threw her old bed out as we had decorated her room. Now sleepin on mattress on floor n no refund to purchase another. I have informed home jandi of all this information n still no joy in response or refund. Worse company i have ever dealt with. AVOID at al costs people which wil b your well hard earned cash. Poor poor awful customer service. Unprofessional and incompetent. Disgusted consumer!!! Never had an experience like it!!@
I ordered the Provence French chic bedroom night stand and small chest in white, and its great value for money so classy looking love the detail on the drawers and the legs of the units I had looked at similar items from other stores and they were three times as much these are great for the price and just the right size for my bedroom,delivery was good I was kept informed all the way and the driver phoned to say he would be with me within the hour, and they put the units in the room I wanted, can't fault the service this is my second order and will be ordering again at some point in time.
28th July 13: ordered a chest of drawers £170.00 Credit card purchase 3rd October 13: No drawers & no refund & no real explanation To date I have no drawers and the constant calls & numerous emails that I've sent have not got me anywhere Just my experience. Would love to hear from HomeKandi on this issue.
My recent experience of this company has been very poor. I ordered two bedside cabinets and then waited patiently for them to arrive. My order was supposed to take up to 21 days. Well over this time my order had still not arrived and I decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere. My daughter (who the cabinets were for) was fed up of waiting for them to arrive!
I emailed them to cancel the order, but they didn't reply. So I phoned the next day to confirm the cancellation. They confirmed the order was cancelled and that I would be refunded my money in up to 14 days (why it takes so long to refund I don't know!).
Over 14 days later I still hadn't been refunded. I sent them another email to ask why, but again had no reply. I have still not been refunded for an order that I never even received and am now contacting my credit card company to sort it out. I have sent them another email, but I doubt they will reply.
In summary this company takes ages to do anything - incredibly slow. And they never seem to reply to emails - which is unacceptable service. I would not recommend this company.
We were looking for some french style furniture and we found the home kandi website with their great range of items displayed. We were greatly impressed. They delivered exactly what we ordered with great attention to detail and an easy delivery time . We are so pleased with our furniture that we chose them again when we advised our daughter when she wanted new bedroom furniture.
I ordered a black and silver desk, black leather chair and black bookcase from homekandi.com for my home office. I found home kandi's prices to be very reasonable and delivery was free. Everything arrived last week ( 3 weeks after purchase). Their delivery guys were very helpful, called me an hour before arriving so I didn't have to wait home all day. Everything came readily assembled. The finish and quality is better than their web photos show. I have seen some bad reviews on here but all I can go on is my experience with them and they have been faultless and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
