I gave an honest assessment of my experience with homsesecurity store at first, but with my pursuit of justice I was net with a compromise by them. Customer service decided to give some consideration for my return and considered a reduced restocking fee of 10%. I feel it was a good compromise since I am willing to pay for the restocking of an item and the financial turnover a company incurs. I feel a 10% restocking fee is more than adequate compensation for the company. Therefore I feel good about them willing to make some type of concession for receiving all their merchandise in its original packaging.
This was my second order with the Home Security Store, and things couldn't have gone more smoothly. I had some pre-purchase questions, so I called the sales people. They answered in a very timely and professional manner with useful information.
Since I am not a tech-savvy person. I called the Tech Support Department for help. I received excellent service with immediate response. What more could I ask for.
I will definitely use homesecuritystore.com again and I would recommend them to anyone as a source of home security products.
Don't waste your money buying from this joint. Shady to say the least! If you have a return forget it, you'll stay on their recorded tech line forever with no one even attempting to answer. I listened to their recording for over an hour before hanging up. This was after their customer service agent told me there were just 2 calls ahead of me, and that they had 4 techs on duty. Have purchased cameras, alarms, and other stuff from them for my 2 homes but never again!
This company are obviously paying for faked good reviews (like the fake review written under the name "Daniel Luke Pe"). Any company that does that is clearly showing that they rather pay for hiding their bad service rather than paying for giving good service.
I just had to write about a fantastic experience I had buying and installing a Visonic Powermax Wireless Security System. Every person I have ever worked with at Home Security Store has been knowledgeable, professional and courteous.
Home Security Store sold me two previously opened boxes with parts missing in both. If this were a face-to-face transaction this type of dishonesty would/could not occur - you could see they were taking advantage of you. But on the web, apparently, being dishonest is OK for the Home Security Store. When I commented about this on their Facebook page they removed their page entirely! I'm guessing this is the only way they can respond effectively - digging deeper into the low ground they've already established. I would not recommend this doing business with this store. They are worse than the sneak-thieves they purport to discourage with their security products.
Warning! Homesecuritystore sent me a defective motion sensor. They gave me an RMA number to return the sensor but made me responsible for the paying shipping fee to their warehouse AND shipping for a repaired or new sensor! Being that they sent me a defective product they should stand behind their equipment and at least cover the cost of shipping just out of mere inconvenience. Their policy is their policy so be warned.
Tech department is fine as long as your question is simple. If you manage to stump them, they tell you that they will call you back and you don't hear from them again. I had to work around the trouble I was having with may security system and it's still not right. By the way, don't bother writing a negative review on their website because they screen them.

5 stars definitely. Although the online ifnormation is very detailed (they even have product video reviews) I still had a few questions. I bought the PowerMax Plus Alarm System from them. I called Home Security Store and spoke with Eric and he seemed very knowledgeable and patient. Delivery was on time as promised. I would def. buy from them again.
