is this agency ok ?

Last thursday i found this agency and the prices they
quoted for hotels were quite good and the particular hotel i wanted was quoted as £75.50 per note - which for london was good - i had to leave my account hotels as i was informed the hotel needed them but as the hotel was on ? basis the hotel might be disinclined to accept. I then received a email saying the hotel was not available and they suggested another couple of hotels not to my liking so asked them to refund the money (which had actually been deducted although i was told they would only hold details) i waited a while and read couple queries about this site so contacted them the next day to say no funds had been deposited into mt account. The agent informed me that they had in fact sent my rebate back into my account and the bank would take a couple days before it went into my account. I contacted my bank today who suggested i got back in touch with hotelsclick as they were still holding my monies. i did this and have still had no acknowledgement to date as to what is happening - and this certainly does not give the impression of being reputable and above board. A little nervous but awesome at the end!

My family is going to a convention in LA and I was able to book 2 nights with their special rate. Unfortuantely we will be arriving one day earlier, but the specail rate didn't cover it. I have been trying to get a room at the same hotel but the rates were $239 or 150% over what I was paying. So not wanting to pay that, I went searching for a better rate and came across this site. I was a little iffy because of the reviews I read but decided in the end to book it anyway. I received a confirmation almost immediately but it made me nervous because it seemed very amateurish. So a week after I booked the room I decided to call the hotel to make sure they had my reservation. Not only did they have my reservation, but the girl I spoke with at the hotel was able to transfer this reservation to my rewards card and she sent me an offiicial confirmation from the hotel. So in the end I ended up paying $102! After my expereince and reading the negative remarks, I wanted to write a great review and that I would definitely use them again. In fact I have them bookmarked :)

Robbery at daylight!

Booked one night at the Hilton one month in advance. Found out the same day that my dates were wrong and immediately tried to call them. No answer. Was put on hold for min 10 minutes for 5 times! Wrote them explaining the situation. Got a short answer just telling me the money was lost!!

EVERYTHING OK IN THE END AT ALMOST HALF THE PRICE !!!

I have completely changed this review.

I initially put a review about how the hotel had no trace of my reservation i paid for 5 days ago and how i had only 2 days to go and was not happy at all.

In their FAQ and T&C (who reads the TC) it states that the hotel may not have your reservation details until 2 days before your arrival. A lot of the confusion was caused by the hotel staff who told me they have never heard of hotel clicks and advised me to rebook directly with them.

However, i emailed a senior member of staff at the hilton and they told me i do have a booking and it has been confirmed.

All that stress because the staff did not know how the booking work through third parties.

MY BOOKING IS CONFIRMED AND AT HALF THE PRICE of what i normally pay to stay at the hilton.

HAPPY (in the end)

Når jeg skriver 1 stjerne er det fordi der ikke er lavere. Dette er et rent svindelfirma. Jeg bestilte et værelse ved dem - men som mange andre har oplevet har de jo slet ikke værelserne, men prøver først at få dem når man har bestilt, og givet dem data på sit betalingskort. Jeg fik ingen tilbagemelding overhovedet - hverken på at de ikke havde værelset, eller at de havde det. Og ved det faktisk stadig ikke. Jeg bookede derfor på et andet hotel. Ikke desto mindre har de trukket ca. 900 kr på min konto, som jeg nu via 5 emails har prøvet at få dem til at returnere. Det er 14 dage siden, så de er så godt dom afskrevet. Men det er rent tyveri, og bliver nu anmeldt til politiet. Så der kan kun advares på det kraftigste imod at bruge dette firma.

Very worrying!

We have booked a superior room for 6 nights 12-18 August 2012, at the Rembrandt Hotel, London, confirmed by your service on the 23.06.12.

Today, a week later, we phoned the hotel and were told that they have no such booking. We phoned your service and were assured by your customer care employee that the booking was passed on and that she would contact the Rembrandt Hotel and phone us back immediately. This did not happen. We contacted the hotel which confirmed that no one contacted them. All this in spite of the fact that the FULL SUM was taken out of our credit card account immediately upon confirmation.

We are very worried and dissatisfied by this service.

,Booked our favorit Hotel in London two times with Hotelclick.
Got the cheapest price on the internet and haven't had any problems what so ever.

Misleading

I booked a hotel for tomorrow night in Milan, gave all my credit card details, but when I received the confirmation email it stated I had only sent an availability request and I would hear within 30 hours. As I will be in Milan in 30 hours that was not acceptable. I telephoned and did get through immediately and the operative told me they would check immediately and email a confirmation. After half an hour I decided to cancel as I need to know I have somewhere to stay tomorrow. I telephoned and confirmed the cancellation by email. I received by return another confirmation of my 'availability request'. I replied again confirming my cancellation. I then phoned my credit card company to check money had not been taken. They confirmed that there had been TWO requests to reserve the cost of the hotel, but both had now been cancelled. So thankfully it seems I have not lost any money, but I was misled by the website, which appeared to be offering a booking when it wasn't and which then received my first cancellation as an instruction to rebook!

Trouble-free

I have booked with hotelsclick.com in Manchester, London, Prague and Berlin - and never experienced any kind of problems, neither on the website nor at the hotels.

Only reason for not awarding the 5th star, is the fact that they charge you in advance of your stay...

Worked for me!!!

I just booked a 5 star hotel in Venice through hotelsclick.com and had no problem. I called the hotel to confirm the reservation and got an email that all is confirmed. And no money was taken off my credit card until the confirmation.....I saved $200 as compared to other travel sites. I will definitely use this site again!!

BEWARE!

HotelsClick.com advertise rooms that are not available. They immediately charge the full amount to your credit card, before informing you that there is in fact no availability. You will later receive an email which states that your card has been charged and you will receive a refund in 2-3 business days. This is totally unacceptable practice and ammounts to fraud.
Stick with the more reputable companies if you don't want to risk this hassle.

Worked fine for me

I see some bad reviews here, but I booked a hotel in Italy and everything was fine. I don't know if it's because they themselves are (apparently) situated in Italy.
Anyway, their price was considerably lower than stated even on the hotel's webpage, and after reading these reviews I actually contacted the hotel to see if they had received my booking (just to be sure). They told me all was in order as it should be.
I also had no trouble with the booking process of hotelsclick. I just didn't encounter any problems whatsoever.
I guess booking hotels in other countries could be problematic, looking at some of the other reviews; perhaps they are exceptions to an otherwise fine service. I really cannot tell, but for me everything worked out just fine.

Do Not Use

Booked a hotel in london with hotelclick which was a great rate only to be emailed later that there was no more rooms avaliale as i did not want another hotel via them i was promissed a refund in 2-3 days which unfortunatly did not accure so several phone calls later to my bank to find out why the money was just sat in the system i found out hotel click did no issue autherisation to cancel i then phone Hotelsclick to resolve this on more than one ocassion only to face a very rude assistant on the phone that was unwilling to help and advised me to send this via email which i then done only to have no reply i then phoned hotelsclick yet again the assistant was again rude and could not help was told the same as the previouse time i phoned re send all this via email still no reply and sadly they are nolonger taking my calls and as of yet i have no refund from them. After contacting my bank again they are now investigating this matter.

You will not be able to get in touch with them.

I assumed hotelsclick was a reputable company based on the fact they were affiliated with trip advisor, however.....

Tried to get in touch with hotelsclick to discuss a booking, but absolutely no answer on the telephone, which is an odd European freephone number and only seems to work from my mobile, not from a land line making it not free. They do also provide a live chat service, but having requested a chat was informed all operators were busy and I was thanked for my patience.....6 hours later, I was still being thanked for my patience and no sign of an operator! Also sent an email and so far....no response. The prices look good and maybe they will respond to my enquiry eventually, but I could not recommend using a company with such poor levels of service.

In addition the enquiry I was making was because the hotel booking was an "on request" booking and so was not instantly confirmed. Now I don't necessarily have a problem with this if it tells you up front, but I just assumed they would be using a live availability system because it didn't state otherwise or at least not anywhere I could see that I would have to wait 30 hours for a confirmation.

As stated by someone else....be aware of the 25 euro cancellation charge. It is in their terms and conditions, but not something which the other major hotel booking companies will charge you. So my advice, take the safer option and go elsewhere with someone reputable, dont be blinded by the prices!

Il sito non è tra i migliori come consultazione, ed ha una ridotta disponibilità di alberghi, ma ho trovato talvolta delle ottime occasioni in alberghi molto belli. Mai avuto problemi con le prenotazioni.

BEWARE and by all means AVOID

I guess if all goes well, everything is fine, but if you have a nightmare experience like me, well then it is a bit different.... They almost left me to sleep on the street, overcharged me and I didn't get some of the services I paid for. Their "customer care" offered their "apologies" which were hardly enough. When I requested a partial refund for what was not provided, they stopped to reply to my emails. The worst thing is that I can not sue them as they are in Italy and I am in the UK, well I can but it is not worth it.

People use a reputable home based company, if something goes wrong you will have consumer rights.

I went to London Renaissance Chancery Court last November for a few days through Hotelsclick for a very good price including breakfast with no problem at all in this very chic hotel.

Generelt tror jeg, at Hotelsclick.com fungerer fint, så længe man ikke skal gøre brug af deres kundeservice.

... men får man brug for at ændre i sin reservation -- well, tough luck. Det kan næsten kun gå galt ;)

Booking but no booking

I booked a hotel in Milan through hotelsclick.com and when I arrived later that day, the hotel told me no booking had been made, and they do not deal with hotelsclick.com

So beware of them!

Avoid Hotelsclick.com
IMPORTANT

At the time of reservation, hotelsclick.com will give you a deadline for cancellation giving an impression that until that time, there wouldn’t be any penalties.

However, when you have paid, you will be informed through a confirmation message that an administration fee of Eur 25 or equivalent will be charged in case of cancellation. Please, observe this information will be provided after your reservation has gone through and you have already paid.

I have no issues if there are cancellation restrictions from the property booked. That’s perfectly fine. The way hotelsclick.com does is unethical, perhaps unlawful and really consumer unfriendly.

No other major booking sites charge you for cancellation or for that matter try to camouflage their fees. Remember, even the surest travel plans can go awry, so better beware of their tricks and think twice before making reservation with them.

None of their contact numbers work either. I have vainly tried several times, without ever getting through … must be an indicator of their seriousness.
