Cheap and saves time
This is my first time to rent from icanhire and I will always go back because it is cheap and saves. You don't have to go to the office to sign papers as everything is done within 5min over the phone.

Convenient and straight forward short term van rental that can't be beat on price
I've been using this service for just over a year and it has become my go to solution for van hire. The booking process is simple and the prices are always fair and standard.
Unlike with zipvan, there aren't many vans inside urban areas as they are stationed in non parking restricted areas, so you need your own car usually to get to the van. Pointless if you don't own a car, but perfect if you do as you can simply drive to the van location park up and take the van!
The vans are ex-fleet / rental stock so not always the prettiest or smoothest, but then that's a little less to worry about.
They used to include fuel cards and charge average cost of diesel used, but they seem to have moved to return it as full as it was (ie nearly empty)

Easy, no fuss, and no Deposit!!
I have used icanhire vans in Guildford and love how easy it is to use! The automated service makes it really easy to get on with.
The new transit is good and easy to drive however it could be maintained a little better - dents and scratched. However all in all a very good, well thoughtout idea!
I use them often, with no deposit and competitive pricing its very affordable and easy.

Great use of remote technology to make short-term van hire easy.
Like the use of easy to use voice message system to set off the remote unlocking and locking system. My first expereince as a good one and will us icanhire again for future short-term (and maybe longer term van hires.

Just what I needed, Convenient and Easy to use.
This is a great concept, where you no longer need to book a Van for the whole weekend when you only need it for a few hours..
I will be using them again and will be spreading the word...

Cheap and very convenient
I have used this company twice now to rent vans. Their system of choosing a van location nearest to you and being able to take it away straight away through pins and an automated credit is really great. My most recent experience had two salient points:
1) The call centre staff were incredibly helpful, even on a Saturday night and even when I was in a panic.
2) There being a CD filled with really cheesy music left in the van from the previous user - was very helpful in brightening the mood in the van considering the radio wasn't playing great.
My only criticism is that the vans clearly aren't checked between every rental, I found a few bits of rubbish in it last time and the keys weren't in the safe store.
All in all, a great system run by a very good company.

Clever system to reduce costs. Approved!
I loved their system.
Fully automated and lets you pick up the vehicle at any time.
Very clever and because they don't waste money on premises the rental is much cheaper.

Excellent cheap really easy to use
Really handy you can pick up and collect when you like you dont have to wait for opening hours. Also its the cheapest around cheaper than all the traditional hire companies and you can hire for 1 or 2 hours at a reduced rate if you only have a quick job.
All the vehicles I have rented have bee in a good condition no bangers and the phone service is excellent always someone on hand when picking up and dropping off

I found the whole experience very efficient
All of the staff are courteous and knowledgable

Poor communication, poor service
Booked online and was told I will be getting a call back. When I did call I had to wait 15 mins to get through. Was then told that the van I wanted was not available and further details were needed and I would be called at 6.30pm. I received no call and when I called back the next day I was tolad that there were no vans in any suitable location. Getting married on Saturday, thanks for adding to my stress!

I hired a van for the first time and I was glad I did it from Icanhire. Picking and dropping off on a public holiday is not an issue and you dont have to pay high premium for the convenience.

Vehicles parked where they are not wanted
When you pick up your van, and probably leave your car nearby, have you ever thought about what local residents think about having a white van parked outside their house for days on end? I have one outside MY house, parked close to a busy junction that is near a school and used by lots of children every day. Drivers approaching the junction are often faced with an oncoming vehicle in the middle of the road because it is passing the parked van. There will be an accident soon.
I have informed this cheapjack company but have they have not moved it yet. Think about others before you use a company like this that does not keep its vehicles on its own premises.

Efficient, good value and would definitely use again
First time user - whole signing up process much quicker than other rental companies. Good choice of local vehicles. Automated system is excellent. Knew would run over so my wife rang to ask if we could have for longer - the person she spoke to was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely use again with no hesitation - nice to see a company run without expensive memberships etc. - it's just what is needed for busy people in need of a van for a few hours, especially at short notice.

No doubt a service I'll use again and again!
I was concerned about the large credit card deposits which vehicle hire companies usually charge but was pleasntly surprised by icanhire's no-deposit-no-hassle process; from start to finish. Icanhire also outdid the competition hands down with price. Certainly a service I'll use again and recommend without hesitation.

IN MY 35 YEARS IN UK I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE ANY RENTAL SERVICE LIKE THIS. VAN WAS BOOKED ON PHONE AND WITHIN 2 HRS ALREADY WITH THE VAN WITH NO FACE TO FACE OF THE COMPANY. NO DEPOSIT TAKEN AND ALSO THE RENTAL CHARGE WAS ONLY TAKEN AFTER THE SERVICE.

The process is quick, simple and easy as well as cost efficient.
From the outset there is clarity about the vehicle, the cost and how far away to collect.
Once booked, you make your way to the hired vehicle and the remote unlocking and retrieving the key was as simple as ABC. The vehicle was as stated and clean.
Returning was just as easy and yes, I would use again.

Nice automated hire facility.
It was very easy and hassle free procedure to book the Van. Very easy to find the location of the vehicle. Getting the vehicle and Returning the vehicle was very easy and fast procedure which didn't require any person to be presented at the Check out.
Definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

Hassle free affordable van hire
This was my 2nd time using icanhire. It is so easy, licence check over the phone, choice of vehicles locally. When you get to the van you call the automated service, enter the code they have text you and they remotely unlock the van. Just return it with the same amount of fuel you collected it with. Most importantly they are very affordable!! Highly recommended!

you'll be surprised how close you are to a hire van
Great service, no hassle, just a licence check, a text about the location and you are away. Just replace the fuel and put it back. There were 3 vans I was close to to collect. Great price, no hassle very pleasant and hassle free service. Wish I had more moving to do!!!

Excellent...well trusted and staff are great!
I have used this company three times there was always a vehicle available not too far away, the staff are so helpful. The van is as expected when being hired out so often. Clean van inside and out. Bodywork a little damaged but who cares? As long as its a reliable vehicle! Checking in and out is a very simple secure process and once you've hired the first time, the next time gets even easier! Happy customer
I would highly recommend icanhire as the automated service is fantastic but most importantly the customer service is brilliant. They answer the phones, are very helpful and exceed expectations. I had an issue with the van and they rectified it immediately. I would probably have to argue with other companies if the same thing happened, but icanhire called me back with a solution even before I could complain. 10 out of 10 for customer service.

Simple and smooth.
I needed a cheap van to move stuff. After sorting out my details on their system I was able to pick up the van when I wanted and was able to drop it back at my convenience. I will definitely be using them again.

Great easy to use
Great easy to use company and the staff on the phone are always helpful. Always phone in any damage you spot to cover yourself as you are leaving it unmanned. The locations are very easy to get to and the vehicles are great. Once your are registered, the next bookings are a breeze. Highly recommend !

Great van hire but beware!
Great van hire but beware!
I had a great van hire, and the van was almost new.
Can't speak for the whole fleet but it was clean and drives well.
My only concern and maybe something that will catch up with me.
You are never handing the van back to a human being who can check the condition and confirm that you are not responsible for damage caused by another hirer.
I have been told that they are only checked every 3 hires.
If there is any damage when you pick it up report immediately and take pictures just in case.

I can highly recommend the service of icanhire.com. The vehicles are located in great areas, where you feel secure to leave your car. The collection and return automated service is so efficient and if there are any challenges the team have been on hand straight away to help. easy to use, super flexible and professionally run service
I loved being able to pick up the van at 5am and drop it off at midnight. Other rental companies would have charged me for 2 days, at a ridiculously high cost.
When I got to the van I saw some damage, so I phoned (at 5am) and within minutes I had been directed to another nearby van I could use instead.

Becareful , avoid avoid avoid
I have rented a car for 3 days when I finish with it 4 days later got blamed for damage on the car and dirt witch I've never did !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The reason they blamed me is because they check the car every 3 booking so becareful they can easily blame you and you will be loosing a lots if money and if you don't believe what I said just ask them how often they check the car This is a friendly advice to all of you avoid , avoid , avoid

excellent, extremely convenient
i ve been use then for over three year, we always get get our vehicle on time without worring if it was weekends or week days, even middlenight u can get a vehicle if u need. mostly we used were vans for business and mid size cars for family. but if they can provide bigger cars that would be even helpful.

Extremely easy
I booked a van with icanhire at short notice and they were able to supply me with a good van within walking distance at the exact dates I wanted the van for. This saved me a lot of money, and everything was as it should be.

very good service, friendly, convenient and flexible
The initial phone call I got from icanhire came promptly after I registered, and everything was sorted out very swiftly. I needed to be able to pick up a van on sunday out of hours, and this was the only way i could do it. I will definitely use this service again. Although it is automated, there is a help line which is manned, and is easy to get through to. I had no problems at all with this service.

Fantastic, will use them again and recommend them
Cheapest quote I found, they don't take a deposit, which made things a lot easier for me. You don't need to have both bits of your driving license to hand or any other ID as they check everything with the DVLA on the phone, which was very quick and simple and done with a very friendly member of staff. You have the option of reducing the insurance excess for a small fee, which I think is a brilliant idea as I'd never driven a van before and was a little nervous! Staff were available to answer questions before my hire online, answering emails within a few minutes in most cases, and first thing the next morning when I emailed in the middle of the night.
On the day of the hire, the van was exactly where I was told it would be, and it unlocked straight away. Keys and damage record were where they should've been too. There were a fair few scratches, but they were all listed on the damage report in the front, but it was fairly clean although not 100% spotless.
We had no mechanical problems all day and when we returned the van late at night the automated return phone system worked without any problems and locked the van securely.
All in all, a completely stress free hire experience that I will gladly use next time I need to hire a vehicle. I would definitely recommend them.

No thanks EasyVan, icanhire are easier!
They were by far the cheapest quote I found on the internet and whilst I didn't realise that I had to register with them and that they were a 'per hour' rental company, the whole process from registration to dropping the van back was easy and impressive. Now I'm registered and know how easy it is (and how close), I'll be using icanhire all the time.

Good value for money
I found the set up of the way it works brilliant. easy to book, the response time to the emails is excellent. The only let down is the vehicle condition. but it did the job
