House Move Sorted
I was a bit dubious when I saw the website, not least because the price was so much less than the competitors, however when I called up I was very impressed by the slickness of the operation, they even conference you into a 3 way call with DVLC to validate your driving license. The instruction received by both text and e-mail were clear and precise and the automated pick up and drop off is genius!!
I will certainly use these guys when I need to hire a van in the future.
One hint...write down your booking reference number and PIN so you're not struggling (like me) to retrieve a text message whilst you're on your mobile!

Great service *** very helpful and friendly staff****
A great way of renting a van no very late notice filled out 1 quick on line form and within 5 minutes had a call back to confirm booking and take payment. Very good range of vans to chose from and conveniently located with good prices. The best thing is that its 24hour service so no having to wait for working days or hours for collection or drop off. 5star service.

Marvellous Service!
Straight forward booking from start to finish. Brilliant way of hiring a van and at a great price too. No problems getting through by phone to unlock van on pick up and return. Van was in decent order and would not hesitate to use this company again.

Quick, easy and a good quality van with no problems
The initial booking did require me to have a conference call with Icanhire and the DVLA, but, with a clean driving license this was soon completed. At last a company that values careful drivers!!
Although the process of ringing up to unlock the van sounds too good to be true, it worked and the van unlocked within a few seconds. All the paperwork was present and the fuel was as confirmed by text. All we had to do was return it in the same state - no obligatory payment for a tank full of fuel which we would never use.
Altogether a simple way to hire a van. Many thanks.

Cheap and easy to use - much easier the second time round!
Gets much easier ! ...
.First time round my experience was okay other than I had to wait a few days to have my booking confirmed due to the dvla being closed (unavoidable I suppose), and the only issue I had afterwards was I was charged for fuel even though I had refilled to the same level! Having said that customer service was good and I was quickly refunded.
Mainly due to the low price i had another go and booked a medium van for an hour this evening to move some furniture, and can see how much easier it is once your details are confirmed as it took me all of 5 minutes to book and was able to collect at short notice .
The biggest plus for me is that I can now book and collect a van at any time of day or night and only pay for the time I need it. An hour cost me around £8.50 tonight and even though I returned the van 10 minutes late I was not charged any extra, which I was concerned about ... For info i hired in brighton

Easy and hassle free
I have used this company numerous times and its so easy to do. You get exactly what you want when you want. I think the price is fantastic. The only bad thing was the van was running a bit rough. All in all good service.

AVOID USING THEY ARE THIEVES
USED them last month evrything was fine except the van was not maintained well and had a few indications light on tried informing them but the wait seemed toolong anad as i was using it just for 2 hours i did not want to lose any time.
The are cheap but their van are very bad and beware they will charge your card without informing you all they do is send you an invoice for additional charges.
They are very cheap but will get nomey out of you for things that you are not responsible for.
SO PEOPLE OUT THERE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR SPEND A FEW QUID MORE TO AVOID COSTLY SURPRISES

Brilliant service!
I would highly recommend icanhire as its simple to use, no silly memberships costs, and the best part of it is the customer service. They are very friendly and always helpful. I have used icanhire around 3 times and will continue using them.

Excellent system, so straightforward and good value for money.
The whole process was straightforward and easy to follow. The vehicle was as I hoped/expected and was where it was sa id to be collected from. I had some reservations about a little damage to the vehicle before I took it and registered it (only to find it was already registered), so more clarity as to the vehicle condition would help to allay fears I would be charged for something that wasn't done by me. Fuel level was a bit vague "a third", but these are fine points in a service which I found amazing really.
Thorughly recommend it and will use them again.

Brilliant - I can't recommend this company highly enough!
I made many local enquiries to hire a van, and this company were the best price by FAR. I'd never used a non-depot firm before, so was a tiny bit nervous it might go wrong - but, despite MY changing the date and time of the rental (no problem was the reply) and I totally messed up on the return time (they were brilliant) I seriously can't speak highly enough of them. Ok, the van was basic, but I needed it for van things, so it was perfect. So easy to collect and drop off. Use them- you won't be disappointed.

Easiest n cheapest van hire I've used
This is the second time I've used icanhire and just wanted to put in writing how impressed I was at 1, the ease of the whole process, I had the whole booking sorted in 5 mins from my iPhone, 2, the friendliness and helpfulness from customer service and 3, the value for money, not having to search about for a deposit etc and 4, in my case thre was a van parked walking distance from me. I will deffinatly use and recommend Icanhire again.

Ridiculous booking system
I found this website via a friend on Google, seemed absolutely great, price wise and review wise. So I put in a booking for a medium sized van 2.5 miles away, which was perfect for our needs.
The system (as a new user) requires you to "book in" a van of your choice, then await a phone call to confirm the booking. As I'm at work, I am to assume that I will receive that call shortly and just deal with it then. However after six hours, and due to the fact we needed a van booked in for Saturday, I emailed to request a call back.
This was received within minutes, and I received a call immediately. I was then further told that my booking was no longer available as the slot had been filled, as nothing is guaranteed until its paid for. I must stress that the website explicits requests you to wait for call, you cannot process this payment as a new customer yourself.
So yes, a completely backwards setup, that seems to be of a great disadvantage to new customers. I'm sure existing customers were given the slots that were available at 11am this morning (at least 6 we could've used). Sounds like a potentially great service, but if i'm going to have to travel 7 miles to get the van (the only option I was given), then this becomes somewhat futile.

Fabulous rental experience :)
From finding online search , was a pleasure ! Quickly sorted licence with conference call to dvla , and from there on was very simple step by step system ! Think it's clever , easy to use and vehicle I used was in pretty good condition , tho previous person left it not short on fuel , disnt mind as I made sure it was where it should have been on return. Would definitely use again and will also be recommending to friends

Clever technology for a day to day van hire.
The online reservations was easy and simple., although I had never heard of this company before. They were the cheapest so I went ahead. The booking was easy. I was emailed and text all the pick up details, and the relavent codes. Nothing complicated.
Van was clean and tidy, and quite economical.
And what's more.
I have recommend "Icanhire" to my friends already.
Clever technology. I have used them twice and very impressed.

Easy to use
Despite initial reservations, as I had never heard of this company, they were the cheapest so I went ahead. The booking was easy, emailed me all the pick up details, only problem I had was the van would not start - they had to disengage the immobiliser again remotely.
Van was clean and tidy, and quite economical (35mpg approx). Slight niggles - the damage report in the van was not up to date, and I had to phone again to record the actual panel damage before setting off; plus the fuel filler flap was broken and the interior lights didn't work (not clever when working at night!). Also the nearside front tyre had a nail in the tread - needs looking at soon.
Clever technology, and subject to them tidying up the niggles with the van I would use it again.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I USED ICANHIRE AND I MUST SAY I HAD MY DOUBTS, BUT WITH EXCELLENT PRICING I MADE THE RESERVATION, WITH IN MINUETS MY PHONE RANG FOR THE LICENCE CHECK AND THE STAFF WHERE VERY HELPFUL AND POLITE. WITH EVERYTHING IN ORDER I RECEIVED TEXTS WITH FULL INSTRUCTIONS, ID NUMBER AND PIN. VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND INSTRUCTIONS ALSO FOUND THAT IF YOU NEEDED TO CHANGE PICK UP TIME OR REPORT DAMAGE, ICANHIRE SENT A TEXT BACK ALL MOST IMMEDIATELY CONFIRMING ANY CHANGES. Hassle free and simple to use - what more could you ask for?
I was looking for a van to use for moving house and decided to move on a Sunday as it would be less busy outside my flat (I live on a busy main road). I looked around the local area for van hire companies who all wanted to quote me for the Saturday and the Sunday or the Sunday and Monday so was looking at well over £100. I checked on the internet and found iCanHire.com and thought the price seemed too good to be true (half the price).
I did however take the plunge and placed a booking. The guy (don't know who) called me back and ran some (professional) checks over the phone with the DVLA and then took down my payment details only when they were sure they would rent to me.
I then got the e-mails and text messages telling me exactly where the van would be and what do do when I went to collect it. The whole thing went perfectly. I had no problems getting the van, it was a little tatty on the outside but inside was nice and clean and it felt like it was in a good condition when driving it.
Would I recommend this to my friends .... I already have. It was the one thing I was stressing about moving out with and as it turned out ... it was the most hassle free part of it!

The Future of Van Hire
Great service from start to finish. A great 2 minute online booking service. DVLA check completed within 15 mins of booking. All the automated remote locking and unlocking works well. I had one issue with the previous owner not having left any diesel in the vehicle. I made a call to customer service and they were more than happy to help. A well thought out customer oriented service that I have already recommended to others.

Simple clear service and very well priced
Booking on the website was so easy I was worried I had missed something, but as stated they called in around 10 minutes and took my full booking and licence details. The website then showed my booking as confirmed. I received an email with vehicle details and text messages containing my pin numbers.
Locating the van on the day of the rental was very straightforward. Following the instructions was simple and overall I am very happy with the experience. The price was very competitive.

A totally painless experience
This was a great way to hire a van - its location was super-convenient and the unlocking/dropping off procedure could not have been easier. It was also a fantastic price for a full-day rental. In fact, in the end I only used the van for about 5 hours, but it gave me much more peace of mind having booked it for a full day than having to choose a more restricted Zip-van type slot. I will definitely use this service again if I ever need a van.

Great service, the customer service team are great..
I wouldn't say they are faultless but you'll know how great a customer service team is when you have a problem by, how it's resolved & how quickly it's resolved.
Not to mention the great value for money.. (i hope they never change their prices as that's one of the things that separate them from the rest) The fact that you pay the price of 4 hours which then covers you for 24 hours rental.
Very easy to sign up, (just a simple call & all is done for you takes around 2 mins which is free if you get free minutes on your mobile although it's a 0300 number)
Brilliant technology, to collect & return the vans - 3 words.. Simple.. Easy.. Convenient

Cheap, close to me, nice vans
Hi, I used to use zipvan before I discovered icanhire, the icanhire is cheaper and the vans are well maintained and reasonably new.
I already booked van 3 times and never had any problems with them.

Sham of a company, avoid
This company left me stranded in a broken down van for nearly 4 hours. They never called back to update me on what was happening, I was always forced to call them.
Their vehicles are badly maintained, you will spend forever in a telephone queue if you ever need to call them and when you finally get through their staff are useless.
I have no idea how they have a 4 star rating. It seems to me a lot of the reviews on here sound incredibly fake...

Cheap, cheerful and convenient
I highly recommend this company. I've used them twice now and both have been very smooth house moves. Booking online couldn't be easier and you can pick up the vehicle and return it anytime you want between the times you've booked it. No need to queue or deal with anyone you just pick it up, call a number, enter your details and away you go. It's also really easy to extend the time with just a quick phone call.

Amazing Service and LOW hire prices!

Excellent, cheap, efficient and very helpful staff on the end of the phone
No hesitation in recommending these guys. I rented a van OK so it wasnt the newest in the world but who cares when you just need a van. The booking, directions and remote unlocking could not have been easier. I also needed to extend the hire at fairly short notice and it all seemed very easy for them.

Amazing!!!
