After being made redundant, I thought 'tighten your belt and start with the food shop' We chose to try out Iceland frozen food first. In all my life, I have never eaten anything so poorly thought out, ill prepared and lacking in quality to the point of ridiculous. The dog however seems happy with the product but he also eats shoes and the poop of other dogs so not much to go on there. Anyway, this Mum won't be going to Iceland again unless it's to visit the country.
I have shopped with Iceland many times over the past years but the Service has gone from bad to extremely terrible. On quite a few occasions I have had missing items in my deliveries, especially at Christmas times ! Last week I thought I would use them once more be they let me down again by taking the price of my shopping twice from my Bank Account leaving me overdrawn with Bank charges. Seven days later I am still waiting for the payment to be returned. The Customer Care Team really haven't been helpful and don't seem to understand the hardship of taking extra money . So disappointed.
I have been shopping at ICELAND most of my life and I have always enjoyed there variety of food and at amazing prices I wont shop anywhere else unless it doesn't have an Iceland in its town they have grown over the years and I am Proud to say I have Grown with them Thank YOU Iceland for being a great company and brand.
So, after issues with their delivery being over 2 hours late I go to the new store in lancaster to complain. At this point I heard a male member of staff saying he would "break the jaw" of a female assistant who asked what he would do if she "knocked his glasses off"...and then reiterate his comment when she questioned his answer! Utterly deplorable and to make matters worse I have written a complaint and heard nothing back. I for one certainly will not shop somewhere where this behaviour is seemingly left unchallenged and ignored. I urge anyone to not visit this store
If you want anything from Iceland go to the store,I have had three online deliveries and only one did I get everything I ordered,on one 14 items were out of stock but my local store had them all,I ordered 6 packs of Warburtons 9pack crumpets for a pound each the sent me 6packs of Kingsmill one which they sold two for a pound and only had 6 crumpets which they sell two packs for a pound but charges me a pound a pack also I ordered three two litres of semi skimmed milk,which one had a hole in the bottom and was squashed which covered the fridge and the floor with milk,if you want shopping from them go to your local store then whatever you put in your trolley you know you will get...
The previous day, I shopped at the Brixton Branch and didn't realise I have been charged 5 times for 2 items until I was about to throw out the receipt today. I decided to go to my local branch at Waterloo to rectify this issue only for me to be treated like a criminal there. I explained the situation to the manager and she blatantly refused to refund my money citing a refund from another store would affect their store figures and for me to travel all the way back to the Brixton branch to get my money back. Brixton is quite a distance from me and I was there the previous day for other reasons that ended in my decision to pick up a few items from Iceland. Her attempts to pawn me off as another store's problem was incredibly obvious. It is not my responsibility as a customer to care about the internal politics of Iceland or their figures and it shouldn't be used as an excuse to deny me my money back. I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years, and have never had a single complaint about any member of staff. But I am shocked at the level of customer service I received from the manager herself, who is supposed to be at the forefront of and a shining example of customer service. Needless to say, I will NEVER shop there again. In addition, I will be ringing/emailing their head office to make an official complaint. hooefully, somthing can be done about the TERRIBLE service I received from the MANAGER.
I bought some bacon and potatoe crunchies, my son found a slug a in one of them.After contacting their care team and taking the product back to the shop I was told it would take 4weeks to tell me how it got in there. 3months later I still had not heared anything. I phoned them and they said that they would phone the people in charge of packaging and manufacturing immediately. I also emailed who I believe is the companys boss and have not heared anything. Nearly 4 weeks later and I still have not heared anything. I dont think I will ever hear from them. They do not care what we feed our children. I will not be going back.
I PURCHASED A SO CALLED STUFF CRUST PIZZA FOR MY LUNCH... WAS REALY LOOKING FORWARD TO I,...T BAKED FOR STATED TIME LOOKED OK, OH YES LOOKED NICE ... OMG HAVE NEVER TASTED ANY THING SO AWFULL IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND THATS THE TRUTH , I WAS EXPPECTING NICE STUFF CRUST LIKE THE ONES FROM THE OTHER SUPERMARKETS OF PIZZA RESTAURANT.. I DONT KNOW WHAT TYPE OF CHEESE IT WAS IF CHEESE AT ALL THE TEXTURE WAS MORE LIKE LARD WITH A YELLOW TING IT HAD THIS AWFULL STUFF FOR TOPPING TOO SO COULN'T JUST DISCARD THE CRUST , IT REALLY WAS AWFULL IT WENT STREIGHT IN THR BIN , IF I THINK ABOUT THE TASTE AND TEXTURE NOW IT REALLY MAKES ME FEEL ILL .... WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER HAD FROM ICELANDS I WONT PURCHASE FROM THERE EVER AGAIN.... FOR ANOTHER POUND COULD HAVE GOT A REALLY TASTY PIZZA FROM MORRISONS , CHEAP ISANT ALWAYS CHEAP ... IS IT
Icelands online shopping service is rubbish, wrong items, damaged items that looked as though they had been kicked around the floor, frozen food that was already in a state of defrost. Send your complaints to their CEO, firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have been loyal customer to Iceland and I decided to trust them and used online shopping and home delivery service just couple of days ago. Even though, the delivery arrived on time as expected, the especially fresh products were at awful state. All eggs were broken. The mushroom were filled with black colour due to temperature differences.
When I informed about this to delivery person, he insist mistakes happen instead of apologising. Above all, he told me to go to store and get replacement with attitude. If I could go to store at any time, then I would have not used home delivery service that has undesired consequences. Also he did not mention which store as I used online shopping. Probably any Iceland store, but he did not mention any one of them. He also lied me that he would come next day to drop replacement eggs. However, he never turned up.
The delivery person has poor customer service and fresh products delivery is not reliable. I need to think twice before clicking check out button in Iceland's shopping website.
After going in my Cannock store I am pleasantly surprised a store goes above and beyond what is asked of them and bends over backwards to help!! I thought this level of service was reserved for America but no Iceland Cannock I can't thank you enough amazing!!!!
First time I order for delivery, I waited for the delivery and never arrive!! once I called back (after wasting over 3 hours of my time). apparently my delivery wasn't book at all... so I have to rebooked for another day and waist again my time waiting for the delivery!!
The second time (and last!) I been waiting for the delivery and when it's arrive, it is a completely different shopping!!! So I had to call back, and they said they have to wait for all the deliveries to come back and then they will see what they do!!! unbelievable!!! when I ask the manager, that I paid for the food, I waited for the food, so I wanted my food... He answered "sorry, I can not magically make it appear on your house, so you need to wait!!!" very good Iceland, keep loosing customers.
I w ill never shop at Iceland again.My 80 year old mother is one mum who will not be going to Iceland! She had shopping delivered yesterday from their Ashington store and over £17.00 worth of goods were missing .However because she had signed the delivery slip it is her fault not the drivers and she cannot have the goods .Their customer care line gave the same reply.So beware when using their delivery service ,make the driver wait till you have unpacked your shopping before signing the slip or it could happen to you.It says in their delivery Terms and conditions that missing or damaged goods must be notified to the store within 24 hours .My mother notified them immediately but to no avail ,they have just said tough!
