What I do not like is that I pay monthly but I do not get an update monthly score or report. It states that I will get an update one every 3months I am on my third month and the month almost over and I still have not receieved it as promised. I called customer services and they said they are waiting for the credit report from the 3 that report to them but its almost the end of the month and still nothing. Not to happy at all.
No give updates for everything I fixed. Two months and nothing new. No messages, no updates. I really don't like the suspense.
I'm fairly new to this app but in two and half months there has been no new scoring. Not sure if they only update quarterly>
I started with Identity Guard ten months ago because I wanted to know what my approximate FICO scores were and wished to rebuild my damaged credit. Now, ten months later, my credit has improved from "weak" to "fair" and I'm looking forward to seeing it improve even further from there. I like that I can see which companies are quickest to report on-time payments and be made aware of other companies that drag their feet about removing old, out-dated information.
I would definitely recommend this site to my friends.
Offers everything you could ask for at a very reasonable price. My only wish is that the credit reports would update once a month, but no one offers this unfortunately. Other than that, however, it is an amazing service that everyone should at least try.
For what it cost you should get monthly credit reports. not quarterly. My scores don't match my actual credit scores.
seriously thinking about changing services. we've never been able to get the computer protection programs running. we called and somebody was supposed to send a new license code and it never showed. by the time we get home, it's too late to call and when we send an email or try to correct things online we're told we need to call. i've read all the great reviews about this service but just don't get it. we used to have experian and got updates almost daily about credit and payment levels and the last thing we heard here was 3 weeks ago. just very frustrated and can't seem to get anything resolved.
You'r nut's if you do not try Identity guard.
(Now) you will not be sorry customer service is Awesome.
And you can actually understand them.I'm a customer for life
Thanks Identity guard Timothy E Roberts
I was under the impression that the credit scores reflected on my account were accurate. However, when I obtained a credit report from the three bureaus in Oct 2012, I noticed they were not. I then contacted Identity Guard and questioned the disparity. I was not happy to discover that Identity Guard does not display our actual credit scores from the three bureaus, but have their own formula to calculate them. Identity Guard reports my scores lower than that at the three bureaus by as many as 30 points or more. I think it is trifling that you put your own formula on a score and pass it off as a score from another agency. Because of this misleading information, I will most likely move to another credit guarding agency in the near future.

I have used Identity Protection service for almost three full years and I find it a very good tool to monitor both my credit score and my identity protection, any body who gets into my credit for any reason I am able to know it immediately and take corrective action if necessary, creditors are not accurate when they value your credit and they do not know you have the right tool to defend your self, and as a result, my credit is improving month to month, because I have the way to monitor it. I strongly recommend Identity Protection, believe me it really helps.
IM WORK WITH FINANCE AND CREDIT. THIS COMPANY IS PERFECT FOR ME AND FOR MY CLIENTS!
I was really excited to see the layout of the program....very user friendly. THEN I got to the ID Vault section that is included with the subscription. That is when I realized it Requires Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. I am an Apple Mac user all the way and shocked they didn't allow for those not on Microsoft. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!
would like to see my report updated more often. im not to happy with the service thinking about canceling.
I purchased this protection based on a friend's recommendation. However, the last alert received is incorrectly stated as my name was totally omitted. It appeared as if my husband was the sole owner of our property, which is not correct. Plan on contacting Identity Guard to see why the error and see what results I get. Not too pleased to read the one review about the young lady who tried to cancel the protection and couldn't and the complaint about poor customer service. Will need more time to make an accurate assessment.
I am a huge fan of most of the services Identity Guard provides. The scores seem to be nearly identical to the ones that the banks have pulled which is incredibly important. Some sites, and I have tried most of them, will be as much as 50 points off what the banks pull. That is obviously not helpful. I do have a couple of things that are frustrating however.
They only let you pull your credit reports once a quarter. Many sites let you pull it once a month. Quarterly is not often enough with the way your score can change so quickly. It also doesn't seem to tell you when you can pull it again other than to say "quarterly". That's great but......quarterly by calendar year or every three months from when I started? However, they are quick to allow you to pay to purchase more bureaus. It also seems that they double charge me occationally. I need to check to validate that statement as I may be incorrect.
So, in conclusion, the scores are very accurate compared with my bank pulls for refinancing my mortgage. The Analyser feature is great to help you predict where you score will be based on certain scenarios. However, they need to allow you to get your reports monthly and make the information of when it is available again more obvious. Also, I forgot to mention it is nice to get the notifications when there is something new posted to you credit.
I have been testing a few different services for credit rating and identity protection. I decided that I'll be keeping this one. It gives you credit ratings from a few different sources, regularly updated, and it also offers notifications about changes to your rating - which could be caused by identity theft.
What makes this service better value than the others is the suite of tools for protecting your computer. I travel a lot and I've had some malware infections from unsecured networks - free security suites just don't seem to cut it these days.
Identity guard offers everything I need for peace of mind in one place - I think this makes it great value.
Beware of giving them your credit card number. They keep it on file and will charge you even after you have cancelled the account 3TIMES!!! They refused to take it off the account at my request, or to mark it in any way invalid. My bank has charged me $ 75.00 dollars at a time when I could not afford it!! This is unacceptable for an identity theft company!!!! I will NEVER use this company again and will tell everyone that will listen what a terrible experience!!!! Diane W.
Identity guard has some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced, and employees that don't care. Don't walk away from this company.......RUN!
I love the website user interface and all of their tools are great. They are just missing one piece....and that's the ability for Mac users to take advantage of the great software they offer for free.
I am so glad that I have Identityguard. They inform me when there is any activity recently reported on my Credit Report and if I see that there is an item on my Credit Report that is inaccurate, I can immediately dispute it with the Creditor. I no longer have to worry about finding out about an error on my credit report when I apply for a home or car loan.
With Identityguard, I feel that I am in control of my Credit Reports instead of the reports controlling my life.
Just joined this program but it looks to be an excellent service for a reasonable price. Signing up already has provided me with a safer feeling about all that I do on the internet. I am looking forward to a long term relationship with Identity guard. Based on what I see I would recommend this to my friends.
I live online, and I'm pretty nervous about some of the companies I hand personal information to. Identityguard has been invaluable to me. I got a free trial from Comcast a while back and decided to upgrade to the premium package for regular credit reports, alerts when certain details about my ID footprints change, and the ability to track details for other members of my family. Did you know that people open bank accounts using young people's details because they know it's unlikely those kids will be applying for their own credit for many years? I didn't know that until I found out that it had actually happened to my (school age) son!
The credit report alone was illuminating, and the other features just make it even better. I wouldn't want to live without it now.
I've been trying a few different credit rating / tracking companies because I was recently turned down for credit even though I've always managed my accounts responsibly. I've been impressed with Identity Guard.
I solved my problem by chasing each agency individually (there were some gaps in my history from a couple of years ago - I moved around a bit and it looks like the main agencies think I dropped off the grid completely). I since found Identity Guard and I see that it offers the ability to see all of the important information in one place. It's a little behind the individual agencies in updating, but it does update - and it's so much easier to monitor everything through one account than trying to keep track of them all yourself. I'll be keeping this for peace of mind.
So, this service was good until I was asked to verify my ID to get my credit score. I have faxed over what they asked twice. And they still can not get it right. I should not have the verify who I am is they have my information and I can verify my info. It has been two months and I still do not have my most updates credit score. I a in the process of canceling my account because of this. I used to have free credit score.com for $4.00 per month and never had a problem like this.
I've used a few other credit monitoring companies in the past like the free one, Credit-Karma and another one that came with my credit card (for a fee) as well as 2 others in the past and when comparing those companies to Identity Guard, Identity Guard ranks in the lower percentile between them.
For one, Identity Guard only updates your credit scores every 90 days where-as the others I've used allow you to update it every 30 days and Credit-Karma allows you to update daily... Of course, Credit-Karma doesn't have a truly accurate portrait of my credit profile, but what do you expect for free.
Also - Identity Guard does not portray true credit profile numbers (as far as the score is concerned)... I just received my Experian an Equifax credit profiles with scores attached from each of them (in the mail) and their scores are at least 20 points higher than reported on Identity Guard - I've also called TransUnion and received my credit score over the phone, their score is 40+ points higher than reported by Identity Guard... So, overall, I have to rate Identity Guard as just "okay'
I live in South Carolina where the states tax department was hacked by overseas thieves. Thousands of residents had their SSN, tax and bank information stolen. It took months before our governor notified residents of the breach. It was another two months before 12 months of identity protection was offered. I declined the service because I was already a satisfied Identity Guard customer. Thanks to Identity Guards affordable and comprehensive service, I have peace of mind for me and my family. I utilize Kidsure for my children and have been extremely pleased.
I had my credit card cloned last year in a restaurant. My bank sorted it out eventually, but I ended up missing several payments on other things and generally messed up my credit rating. A couple of creditors were happy to fix the marks on the report after I explained the situation, but not all of them.
I'm now paranoid. I travel internationally as part of my job, and it's not always easy for me to stay on top of balances and watch my credit report. Identity Guard's monitoring and alerts service has been really useful. It gives me access to everything I need to know in one place, and they notify me of any unusual (or potentially unusual) changes. I've only had the service a few months, but I'd find it hard to live without it now.
I looked around for identity protection but it was the child protection that sold me on this product. I like the fact that Identity Guard will monitor my children's identity as well as my own. I tried to find another service that had protection that covered everything that this one does but couldn't. I suggest you do the same before signing up. If you value your kids safety, try looking around before purchasing Identity Guard. Once you see what the others have to offer, I am sure you will agree Identity Guard has the best coverage.
I was a member of another Credit Protection Service for two years and they "missed" some very important accounts that were opened in my name without my knowledge. One was a Mortgage and another was a $400 Blockbuster account in Las Vegas, Nevada (I never lived in Nevada). Identity Guard notifies me when anything "happens" on all three Credit Bureaus for less than what I paid monthly to the other Credit Protection company. I will definitely will recommend Identity Guard to anyone who needs credit protection.
I signed up for Identity Guard back when they were running the Comcast offer (actually, I think that's still going). I decided to keep the service even after changing ISP. I've not been a victim of identity theft since I started using the service, but I have found it useful anyway.
I'm in the process of repairing my credit rating after making some bad decisions while I was a student. I'll be getting married in two year's time, and I want to make sure that my credit rating is perfect. Being able to keep an eye on my credit status is a big plus. I've actually found a couple of errors made by companies as a result of this service - nothing too serious, but it's nice to be able to make sure that everything is OK.
If you're planning on buying a house, or just want to protect your finances, this service is a must have.
I have used Identity Guard for many years, and would recommend it, or a similar service, to anyone who can afford the cost. For what it does, the service is excellent. For what it doesn't do; for its complicity, if any, in the shameful practices of the credit reporting industry, and to highlight those practices, I am giving the company a one-star rating. The practices to which I refer were most recently highlighted in a 60 Minutes expose and a Department of Justice lawsuit against Standard & Poor's. The practices contributed to the financial crisis that led to the Great Recession, and they have created literally millions of financial crises among consumers and investors worldwide.
Identity Guard provides peace of mind for a minimal fee. They offer innovative products and services that allow you to monitor and protect your credit and save you money and headache down the road! Using Identity Guard ensures that your personal information stays protected! I would recommend this service to anyone!
Identity Guard was one place that at first I was skeptical about, but after almost having my identity stolen once before I was looking into all of my options. I wanted to remain safe and I needed a trustworthy company to give me that peace of mind. They went over everything with me and gave me what I needed and I couldn't have asked for better protection! Definitely worth recommending to everyone.
It was a complete shock to us when my parents' identity was stolen. Not only was it a scare, but it took them so much time to fix the problem. Well, we're not going to let it happen to us! Identity Guard is a great service and it's worth it for peace of mind. The best thing about Identity Guard is that it monitors your identity, credit and public records for you, so that if anything is amiss, the problem can be fixed right away instead of it going unnoticed or made worse over days or months. Thanks for watching my back, Identity Guard.
I have had the Identity Guard service for a while now. I started with the Essentials service, which I was given as part of an offer from my ISP (Comcast). I was impressed with the tools and calculators and the basic protection services so I upgraded, and I've never looked back since.
I travel a lot as a part of my job and over the last few years I've had cards cloned, passwords stolen, and even people try to take out car insurance in my name. I don't drive and I still can't figure out why anyone would do that - loans or credit cards, yes... but steal someone's ID for insurance? So far I've been fairly lucky in that I have not suffered any serious financial damage as a result of these problems, but it is stressful and time consuming getting it sorted out. Identity Guard is a big help because it alerts you to problems quickly, and the sooner you act the easier it is to nip the problem in the bud.
It's worth every penny for the peace of mind.
I had gotten kind of worried over the past few years about the possibility of having my identity stolen. My son told me this was unlikely to happen, but then my best friend informed me that someone had managed to open a credit card account and get a cell phone with her 7 year old daughter's information. Sadly, I it took me a while to find Identity Guard. I definitely wanted to be protected, but I found no company before Identity Guard that would let me try out the service. Luckily, I was able to try Identity Guard for two weeks without committing to anything, and I was thrilled with the service. I currently only have the Silver level membership, and it makes sure that my identity and financial information stays safe. I've even added my grand daughter to my plan, so there's no chance of her credit being ruined before she even turns ten.
I absolutely love this service and wouldn't trade it for the world.
IdentityGuard is the friend I never knew I had. After getting my identity stolen I wasn't sure where to turn to make certain that it never happened again. Thankfully I came across IdentityGuard! I went for their incredibly well-priced platinum package and am so happy that I made that choice. Their service is impeccable and their employees incredibly kind. For anyone out there with credit or debit cards and who also wants to protect their identity give IdentityGuard a try. You'll be glad you did. I know I am.
