I ordered flowers to be sent from Uk to Canada for my friend's 40th birthday. I received three emails from iflorist giving the state of the order, order confimation, order allocated and order successfully delivered.
I then received a further email a day after expected delivery saying that my order was on hold as I had not provided a phone number for the recipient. I emailed to say that I had already received confirmation of delivery and was told that this was delivery to the florist not the recipient. I said that it had not been made clear on ordering that a phone number was required, although there was a box to put a number but this was not a compulsory element. I also said that the delivery confirmation order just said successful delivery and nothing about it being delivered to the florist.
This is the first time that I have sent flowers abroad and was not happy with the outcome. My friend's flowers were late and as a result she obviously thought that I did not care enough to send her a gift for her special birthday. Thankfully the flowers have now been delivered.
Iflorist, please make it clear during the ordering process that a phone number is needed for delivery and also amend your emails to either say successful delivery to florist or recipient. Hopefully with these changes people shuold receive the flowers they have ordered on the day they order them for.
This experience has made me think twice about using your service again and I would most probably try a different company.
