We needed a hire car for three weeks for a holiday in France. The usual big sticking point being that we don't have credit cards, only debit cards. After some fruitless and frustrating trawling round some the more well-known car hire firms, we found Indigo.
Indigo not only found a hire firm where and when we needed it that would take debit cards but it was also cheaper than most online quotes.
Indigo also went out of their way to arrange to have the car hire desk at our destination airport open earlier to ensure we were not waiting around half the day - a bit deal if traveling with two small kids as we were.
They took the hassle out of booking a car (particularly with the lack of credit card), were cheaper than other providers and very friendly and helpful.
Thanks to all at Indigo - we will most certainly use you again and will recommend you without a second thought!
I have used Indigocarhire over and over again. Cherie has always given great service and even when I have been a very awkward customer she has always come up with the goods. We even arrived in Alicante airport and decided on the plane over that actually we did need a car so stood in the airport and called Indigo and they got us a great deal and by the time we got to the desk our booking was waiting for us.
We rent our house in Spain and send all our renters information including Indigocarhire because we can trust them to offer a great service.

Thank you to Cherie Walker at Indigo for helping me to get the car hire I was looking for. I was flying into Glasgow Airport and returning from Edinburgh Airport. All the companies I contacted were charging an extra £50 approx because I was dropping off at a different location. When I contacted Indigo Cherie found me a car hire with Avis. I didn't have to pay this extortionate rate to drop the car off just over 40 miles away from where I picked it up. I could also pay by debit card ( they don't accept Maestro debit). I am heading back to Glasgow in October and leaving from Edinburgh again therefore I intend to use Indigo again and would not hesitate to recommend them.
Ann-Marie was extremely friendly and very helpful when dealing with my situation of being let down by another company when I arrived in Toulouse, she was quick to repond to my request and I had the keys to the car (a better and bigger one I must add) within 10 minutes, for a similar price. Would not hesitate to use Indigo Car Hire agaian and would certainly recommend to friends and family. Many thanks for getting me out of a sticky siutuation!!!
We had fours hires again this trip, once again all done with ease by the Indigo team. One example of the service, we were dropping off the car in Paris, Gare du Nord railway station in the middle of the day (traffic and people everywhere). Could not find anywhere to stop or drop off the car, stopped on the corner of a one way street and put on the hazards, bewildered! I jumped out to find the Avis office, after a little while security helped me find what I was looking for. As I went in the office the girl on the phone smiled and put down the phone and said hello Mr Lupton and promptly gave me a map and explained directions. Whilst I had been looking for the office my wife in the car had phoned Cherie at Indigo in the UK and in turn she had phoned Avis in Paris and sorted my problem, excellent service.
Found myself without a car for a week and was struggling to find somewhere to hire a car from as I do not have a credit card.
Some one pointed me in the direction of indigo car hire, i jumped on their site and chatted live with Connor, he was great and sorted me a car same day that I could pay with a debit card and only had to pay for a tank of fuel as a deposit.

Wanted to hire a basic small car for a few days in the UK. Booked with another company from their online quote which said 7 days for £150. I got to the car hire company and they informed me as I was 24 I would have a £40 fee p/day onto of my £100 rental. Obviously this made the rental very expensive and i was very unhappy that i was not told this at the time of booking. I rent cars alot abroad and have never had this before. I searched online for young hire car companies and Indigo car hire came up. I called and Spoke with a lovely girl called Cherie and she was fantastic from start to finish. The car was far cheaper than any other agencies. i had a bigger car and the service was great. Am rebooking with them for my next trip to uk.
Great experience booking with Indigo car. The dealer we got the cars from was great. Good price and amazing cars. We loved to drive them. The thing that made me choose Indigo was that they don't need a credit card as most of the company but they accept also debit cards and you pay just when you get the car with a reasonable deposit.
I hired a car through Indigo for 18 days at the end of March. Indigo quoted the best price against their competitors for my requirements and placed the business with Avis at Manchester Airport. This pleased me as my Company also has a corporate account with Avis and I hire quite a lot of cars to use on business so I was confident of a good service. On arrival the Motor Village was very busy and after waiting some time the agent asked if anyone had an Avis Preferred card. I said I did but this hire was through a 3rd Party and not business, and was given priority. to speed the process up I was asked if it would be ok to reserve the fuel deposit on the car held on my Preferred Card, even though it is my Corp Amex card I said yes as I always return cars full of fuel and off I went. The car was reliable and clean and I had 18 days 'happy motoring'. On 15 April I returned the car back to Avis at Manchester Airport and thought nothing else about it until I received my Amex Corporate Statement at the end of the month. On it was a charge from Avis for the full amount of the hire car for the whole 18 days and the price was 50% higher than the pre-paid price I had received from Indigo!
Rob Selby was very helpful on the online chat, found me a nice car at a very low price for a week when compared to other rental companies - a good £150 cheaper than other quotes I have received! Would recommend, specially for young drivers under £25 looking for a reasonably priced rental car.
I found Indigo Car Hire to be very easy to talk to and they knew how to give me the information and services I required clearly and efficiently. The facility to use a debit card to hire a car has been a lifesaver as I am dead against getting a credit card and finding car hire without one was a nightmare. The agent we dealt with (Rob Selby) was very friendly and informative and explained all the costs and details to me clearly. I would highly recommend Indigo to all my family and friends.
I needed to book a car in Miami with a debit card, no easy task...
So I went to online chat on the Indigo site. The service was absolutely fabulous - Connor answered all my questions immediately, found the car I wanted at a good rate, that I could pay for on arrival with a debit card.
I thought I was asking for the impossible but it was a complete breeze - and the service couldn't have been faster or more friendly. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and will certainly always book cars through them going forwards.
I used IndiGO to book car hire. I had an issue in that i don't use a credit card, so deposits were a bit of an issue. IndiGO were able to put me onto a car hire company who would accept a debit card. However, the cost of doing so takes a bit of a leap up. This is out of IndiGO's hands however
I was very impressed with the service from both Indigo Car Hire and Green Motion, both delivering a very smooth and professional service.
As I had been living away from the UK for 4 years + and without a credit card, it was difficult to arrange car hire in the UK. However, Indigo (Rob) assisted me to secure a car hire from Green Motion with a small deposit that was only held on my debit card (not taken from the balance) together with a low insurance excess, free car upgrade, unlimited miles and competitive price! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Indigo or Green Motion and will certainly pass on my recommendations for Indigo’s service to family/friends.
Collecting the car from Green Motion was a breeze, after alighting from the Hoppa bus directly outside of their office. Proceeded to the office whom had the documentation prepared and car waiting outside the door. Quick check of documents and I was ready to hit the road. Car was very new, fuel efficient (Diesel) and immaculately clean. Returning the car was also a very prompt and efficient process – the lady whom attended to me was very welcoming and friendly (wish I had remembered her name – was pretty tired by time had returned the car!) but special thanks to her for assisting me to get back to the airport on time!
Only 1 comment would be that after returning the car, I was advised that the Hoppa bus service hadn’t been running efficiently in recent weeks and this had delayed other commuters from getting back to Heathrow. Luckily for me I was directed to the concierge within Holiday Inn whom assisted me to get a taxi within less than 5 mins to Heathrow T4 for 18 GBP. Although I had paid for the return Hoppa bus, I was rushing too much after dropping off the car to gamble on the Hoppa bus delaying me. Plus my initial 2 suitcases that I arrived with turned into 5!! so having the taxi service at the adjoining hotel was perfect for the return to Heathrow.
Lesson from the above: Hoppa is okay when arriving, but I shouldn’t buy the return Hoppa as the taxi service and assistance from Holiday Inn was exceptional.

I have used Indigo twice now, and both times I have found there service to be great, and the staff to be very helpful and friendly. having dealt with Cherie Both times I found her to be very helpful and informative. Great Service will be using again and again and again.
I had been knocked back by several car hire companies as I did not have a credit card they were happy to take an upfront payment by debit card but would not accept a debit card at the pick up point.
I contacted Indigo and immediently was told it was not a problem and to proceed and book which i did.
All at the office were helpful especially Cherie who answered all my concerns and reassured me all would go well which it did.
Came across the no deposit option on the IndiGo website and made the call and all sorted quickly and in an extremely friendly manner. Congratulations on brilliant customer service and I will be using you again and recommending you to anyone that asks for a good hire car company.
I have hired many cars over the years and invaribly found that there are lots of "hidden" conditions. Those that say no deposit, no excess, no mileage constraints are usually untrue. However, having been caught on these points in the past, I contacted Indigo who did everything for me. I hired a car through them for 5 days and it was the easiest hire experience ever! I picked up the car, went off on my trip, came back and handed the car back. That was it! It was lovely to feel secure that there would be no huge bill if someone was to clip the car in a car park or some such occurrence.
I am now a regular hirer with them and they could not be friendlier, more helpful or easier to deal with. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Hiring this car was so easy and simple. I went online on Saturday night to pick up on Monday morning and when I got there the car was ready and in immaculate condition. Paperwork took less than 10 minutes and I was on my way. The car they gave me was brilliant a brand new 62 plate Vauxhall Astra 1.6 and have to say it is the best car I have ever driven. I had the car for 3 days and when dropping off it was fast and simple. I would definantly recommend anybody wanting to hire a car at good prices, excellent service and helpful staff either face to face, over the phone or email to choose this company. I will say personally I will be hiring again. The only downside to the experience was sadly having to had the car back as I highly enjoyed the time with the car. Huge 5*'s and more if it were possible to rate them that high.

All of the car hire companies seemed to always want credit cards or so much money to cover everything that it would of taken a huge chunk of our honeymoon money! Thankfully Cherie took the time to explain things properly and every worry and concern we had she instantly answered all of our concerns and got us a really good deal. The whole process at malaga airport was smooth and within a few minutes we were shown to our car and were off enjoying the start of our honeymoon. Highly recommend . 5 *

I booked a vehicle for collection @ Orlando Airport through one of Indigo's partners Avis, upon arrival all was as indicated on the voucher in terms of the rate that was being paid, the lady behind the counter even commented how good the rate we had got was, which is always nice for a Yorkshire man to hear ;-)
We proceed to collect the car from the parking lot and drove away from 15 minutes of reaching the car hire desk - Hassle Free and Good Value is a true reflection of my experience. No doubt I will be back in the future.

We booked from Spain to have a car at Stansted. The actual rental was with Enterprise, who were also helpful and charming; also cheap fuel.
Cannot recommend Indigo Car Hire highly enough and will certainly book with them again anytime we need a vehicle.
I would recommend Indigo car hire to everyone, the service Cherie Walker gave us was wonderful,second to none . As we don't have credit card's we tried all the big car hire companies and thought car hire without a credit card would be impossible, but thanks to Cherie we landed at Luton went to the hire car counter and were on our way in no time. We cannot recommend Indigo highly enough, and i recommend them to friends, family and any looking to hire a car with no problems we will definitely use Indigo again.

We went back to the UK in early November to catch up with family and friends. On Remembrance Sunday we went to the local Crematorium to pay respect to my departed mother in the Chapel of Remembrance. When we was in there some low life broke into our hire car and stole my wife's bag. All the bank cards, driving license, three mobiles, Spanish Residencia and Spanish Medical card and most importantly my wife's make up bag. We were given another car straight away and we had to pay for the repair when we returned the vehicle. Luckily I took out the extra insurance (something I don't usually do) so I was covered for this cost. The Insurance was with Allianz based in Madrid. I made contact with Cherie Walker at Indigo Customer Services who helped me all along the way with the claim. I found Cherie to be a credit to Indigo car hire and her patience with me over the many emails I sent needs to be recognized. I would recommend Indigo to many people because when things go wrong (and they do) it is nice to know that your problem will be solved in a calm, reassuring and professional manner.
I have been hiring cars regularly for about 6 years from Cherie and the service has always been 100%. If there is ever any problem with the car hire company, i.e. Europcar, Avis etc, Cherie and her team have it sorted out for you in a blink of an eye.
I would never use anyone else. I live in Cyprus and go to the UK about 3 times a year and my requirements are always a bit more complicated, pick up one place, drop off another. You can phone anytime and someone appears to always be there to help you out.

Indigo car hire company were very accomodating and one of the few car hire companies that didn't rip us off for fuel charges. We hired a nice car too that was not a Picanto and actually had some power in the car they provided. Very reasonable price and changed details prior to hire with no quibbles. Would highly reccomend to all our friends and family and to anyone looking for car hire in Spain.

Excellent service, friendly and efficient. We were able to call them by phone and they were at the designated pick up point in 5 mins. Car fully prepared and ready for collection. Paperwork carried out speedily and we were on our way. Returning was just as efficient. Car immediately checked over and signed for and we were dropped back at the airport for our return flight. Friendliest service I have received for car hire!
