Sadly did not read Trust Pilot before ordering so have had exactly the same problem. Really good website so shopped with confidence,what a wally! Get confirmation of order and estimated despatch then couple of days later than stated got an e mail which stated had been posted.When you ring you get diverted to a vodaphone answer service and when you submit a question via the form on the website you hear nothing First contact I had with this clown was via Paypal resolution centre when the clown stated royal mail must of lost the item and he would get onto it on Monday but did not give any post details. When I sent e mail saying I had instructed my credit card company to start a chargeback I finally did get an email but has he was closed today it would have to wait until Monday Don't use this company and hopefully he will go bust as these retailers give internet shopping a bad name
A wonderful website but all style and no substance.
They will debit your card immediately and a few days later confirm that the product has been delivered. The reality is your product will never be delivered and any attempt to contact them either by email or telephone is fruitless.
Sadly I have only just found this page and like the other people I have been scammed. I ordered prescription sunglasses on 22nd August but have not received them. I have sent 4 emails, left 4 voice mails but not one reply. I am now starting reclaim procedures with the credit card company and seeking legal advice.
I ordered some prescription swimming goggles, that never turned up. Of course my money was taken immediately upon ordering. Chase-ups to see where my order was were ignored. My emails were not replied to, and no phone calls were answered. This company is a SCAM. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM IOPTIX. You will be ripped off if you do. Interestingly, all the "customer" reviews that give a good rating come from where the company is based or have the details removed. Coincidental? I think not!
Ordered some cycling glasses but received no confirmation of order. Several phone calls and e-mails went unanswered. Got a refund via PayPal. He even invented a tracking code which he sent to PayPal as proof of dispatch. Funny all the good reviews come from Nottingham, are they [private data removed]'s mates or is he worried about a visit?
My account was debited as soon as I ordered. Then - Nothing! They ignored emails & phone calls. Eventually I had my money back, & found a more reliable source of unremarkable tinted prescription swim goggles.
Their excellent website lured me in! Such lovely products!
This is a top company. The range and choice of products is excellent. Their knowledge and experience in their field is clear when you have reason to talk to them, they are friendly, understanding and very helpfull. The website is easy to navigate and use. I,ve been trying to get a particular matching set of glasses and helmet and couldn't find them anywhere till google came up with ioptix.ordered one day and arrived the next.perfect products and quick delivery ,awesome.
But then my glasses didn't arrive as promised. I was patient and waited. Had a couple email replies saying "they are on their way", and "definitely will be with you tomorrow".
But then it became obvious they weren't going to arrive. [personal data removed] (who reviewed his own company on this site!!!!!) said he would send me a photo of the receipt so I could track it (special delivery). First email said it was attached (it wasn't), second email said he'd send it in the morning (he didn't).
Have asked for a refund but they haven't responded. Have called them several times, but they don't pick up the phone.
Now having to try and get a refund through my credit card company.
1 star is a bit harsh - in that they haven't been rude or malicious - but they have ripped me off.
They never answer the phone. They never reply to emails. I'm still waiting for my glasses more than a week after ordering them. They may turn up but if you want to deal with a company that talk to customers... Look elsewhere. I'm on verge of applying for refund through PayPal. Just a complete joke of customer service. Just noticed that most of the reviews on this site for this company were done on the same day. And then also the review on the 26th November 2012 was written by the person who runs ioptix.
I ordered 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses, one for biking and one for driving. I can honestly say that they are brilliant quality. I now live life in HD!!! The service was great too. The company dispatched my order promptly and efficiently and I'll definitely be going back for more.
I ordered my prescription goggles 2 weeks ago, I I was told the delivery dates would be 6-10 days. This time has passed, I rang up multiple times and finally got an answer on the Monday and was told my goggles were to be dispatched that day or the next and posted by fist class post and would arrive in the next 2 day. Another 5 days have passed and no goggles have came! This is totally unacceptable and I will never be using this company again.
Ordered prescription goggles at 13.30 ,had a phone call at 13.45 to say that the dark blue were out of stock but due in two days however the other two colors were in stock if i wanted to change .As i had no preference i took the clear,order dispatched at 14.09 received next day. If only all my online purchases were like this.
Bought a great pair of sunglasses for golf, but wasn't sure if I needed green lens or clear. I was assured I could get clear lens if needed. I decided I would like clear lens as well, but after several emails which I started sending in June ( and its now October ), I managed to speak to someone in September who promised to inform me when the clear lens were available, and to date I have heard nothing more. I would still like the clear lens for the winter, because the glasses are such a good fit , but I've now given up hope of ever getting any.
