Problems sorted
Although there was a bit of confusion with my order, they got to the bottom of it and ensured that the item was dispatched directly from the factory to me to save on downtime on site.

Quick turnaround and easy delivery
Prices are good and like the choice of delivery days as I cannot receive delivery at many jobs I am on. I use Ironmongery-direct over many other suppliers I've had in the past. The last order I received was actually of better quality than I expected for the price.

Looking at anything to purchase over the internet can be tricky as im alwasy worried about colours of products being totally different in real life, probs with delivery and not being able to "feel" the quality of the product.
me and my husband have been really pleasantly surprised, the door handles we ordered arrived promptly and are great quality, lovely colour (antique brass) and excellent packaging. Before ordering we also called up as we werent sure what lock fitting we needed for our bathroom handles and the lady on the phone was very knowledgeable and helpful. very impressed, would definitely order from this company again.
Also great range of products and after a lot of seraching on the internet they do seem to be very competitive with regards to price considering they are so highly rated. Excellent all round so far!

Delivered next day even though I ordered on a Sunday!
We had a builder coming to fit new doors on a Tuesday and we'd not chosen the handles. We did so on Sunday morning expecting a delivery on Tuesday. Much to our surprise the system said Monday and they arrived at 11am on Monday. The best service I've ever had on the internet. And the handles are great!

Did what they said and very helpful over the phone with my questions
The runners I was looking for have a number of suppliers but the quality has been of a standard that would make a tin can a higher quality. The runners provided by Ironmongery Direct are very good. The only down side is that they do not come with fixing screws.

I found the IronmongeryDirect web site easy to use and found the products I required very quickly. Payment was a breeze and the follow up confirmation emails from IronmongeryDirect was very reassuring.
My delivery arrived on the date agreed and the delivery man was very friendly and pleasant to deal with.
My purchased items was well packaged and the accuracy of delivery was spot on. Inside the package there was a delivery note and thankyou note, together with a catalogue. Everything I ordered was accounted for and the products where exactly as expected. Overall I could not ask for more from a supplier, Quality products at affordable prices, with great service. I won't hesitate to buy from IronmongeryDirect when I require further products.

Honest, does what they say in the advert
I ordered my item late on Saturday, because they had a great choice and they gave me an option of delivery times (varying prices -earlier more costly) but all for delivery Monday I chose the cheap option and it was still there before lunch we were very impressed and the vent looks great.
The only niggle we have is that for £40 I would have liked chrome screws to fix it to the tiles instead of having to buy them seperately .
So just remember that if you order a vent, but that's all.

Fantastic service, with a brilliant product selection and prices
I purchased shelf brackets. I wanted that would take a lot of weight, be attractive yet unobtrusive. The selection on InronmongeryDirect fitted the bill. The product information on the site was excellent and the brackets were ordered on Saturday and delivered on Tuesday. I can't complain at that. The brackets haven't been fitted yet, but were approved by our carpenter and they look even better than they did on the website. I'm very happy with IronmongeryDirect and will definitely be a returning customer. I will also recommend the company to my daughter, who is doing a lot of work on her home at present.

Looked on the website, found what I wanted, ordered it and it arrived next day. What more could I want.
Tried the local hardware and DIY sheds and couldn't find the product I was looking for. Went on line and found Ironmongery Direct in the search engine, put my product requirement in and found exactly what I needed. It was my first order but placed the order with no fuss or difficulty. The product arrived next day with no extra delivery charge. Very impressed and it will be my first port of call when I need any ironmongery in the future.

Missing goods
I ordered 4 pivot hinges by internet paid in full by card.
I was told delivery would be Monday 20th May nothing turned up.
Rang them this morning they apoligised and said the courier had lost the package. I then ordered more goods and to be fair they waved the carriage charge Waiting to see if these turn up.

Delivery not up to par
Although all the products received are in good condition, I feel that the delivery leaves a lot to be desired. One order had 2
Parcels, and I received one the next day then the other the day after. I ordered materials on a Thursday and did not receive goods to the following Monday.
This may be the fault of the delivery Co, but if you pay for next day delivery, that's what should happen.

DOES MY BUTT LOOK BIG IN THIS ??
I ordered some Parliament Hinges - wonderful quality, but I mistakenly ordered them too big.
No Problem...I packed them up, returned them Freepost, received a credit and ordered the correct articles for next day delivery.
I have used this company quite often and will continue to do so.
I have always found their customer service to be First Class. Real people answer their phones and they have always been polite and efficient.
If you haven't tried them - Give them a go.....

Delivery notifcation needs work.
On on-line ordering nice and simple, booked for next day all OK. Arriving home from work found NO delivery and NO notification from the delivery company??? Spoke with ironmongerydirect and the staff there couldnt have bee more helpful or appologetic.
Informed me of my options. Then found out from neighbour he had taken in the delivery.
TELL YOUR COURIER COMPANY TO USE INFORMATION CARDS to tell where they have left or whethet thay've take back the delivery. This will save MUCH time and confusion.
Otherwise very pleased.

Item does not meet expectations against prior email assurance of suitability. Fast dely.
Before purchase of keyhole lock set, sent diagram of existing door handle keyhole lock set with dimensions to ensure that the one I was thinking of ordering was a direct replacement. i.e. no new holes required to be drilled. Had reply that this was a direct replacement. On receipt of item, it did not fully line up, backplate holes matched but handle centre and keyhole centre were about 4mm out so it was not a direct replacement!! Was able to transfer handle and return spring mechanism onto existing backplate so that i didn't have to carry out major surgery. Obviously not enough care taken in checking dimensions of existing keyhole lockset against their stocked item. Disappointed on accuracy of checking existing against potential replacement item. Although an inexpensive item to purchase, the post and packing cost made it rather expensive. Delivery was fast but I paid a lot for p & p. Should have been a lower cost option as speed of delivery was not required. However, all said, good communication although they got it wrong!

I am sorry that the mis- communication of dimensions that you required has caused you to re-work your door handles but I am glad to hear that you managed to make them fit.
We are currently reviewing our delivery options to see if we can offer a cheaper option but still ensuring that we can track and trace orders at our end.

Good selection and prices, but poor website.
Not able to sort or filter items by price or relevance, or anything else! I need to scroll through ALL results to get to one thing you want. Frustrating. This basic error really needs addressing immediately to make this a usable site. That said, great product selection and prices.
