Ordered item as a surprise for my wife, so took advantage of their Collect+ service so she wouldn't find out. Problem was, isme delivered to the Collect+ shop using wrong courier. Collect+ knew nothing of this delivery so had not sent me required text code to allow Collect+ staff to release parcel. Here I am, over a MONTH later, having spent hours on the phone and writing countless emails to isme to be no further forward. Their Customer Service is a joke. They're incapable of dealing with this. I never get an email from the same person twice. All they do is give hollow promises of "someone" getting in touch to sort this out, but they never do. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Do not deal with them unless, like me, you want surprises ruined, promises unfulfilled and to be f***ed around with for over a month. Take your business elsewhere, they don't deserve it.....
Isme are crap. They've taken £57 out of my bank account for a poor quality Christmas tree, even though I told them in writing I didn't want it and they are fobbing me off with stupid emails telling me they're looking into it. So - they have stolen my money....great company. Not using them again and will NOT let this go.
I found the site easy and quick to use as I am not a computer wizard so usually struggle with sites like this. I was proud of myself when I had finished registering and opening an account but realised probably wasn't my talent but a computer boffin who had designed the site with people like myself in mind!!
The service and notification of parcel delivery was fast efficient and again easy for me to deal with. Goods of excellent value did not have to return anything so congratulations Isme will definitely be shopping again with you.
i have tried calling them twice but have got disconnected both times after being put on hold, so i have emailed them several times now about my query with no response other than the automated reply saying someone will soon get back in touch. I have now been waiting 6 working days and i'm not happy. If i dont hear anything by friday i will be returning my items back to them and shopping elsewhere.
Spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to explain the situation however due to barrier of understanding I requested to speak to a supervisor or manager I was put on hold for 20 minutes for them to come back and say there was no one available to speak to me. My issue is still unresolved as I still have an out standing amount on my account due to confusion at their end regarding a return.
Delighted with my latest purchase.
This time I got free delivery.
One or two items not to my liking, so I sent them back; by free post again.
Parcels are delivered to my local shop and when I am next in the shop I pick them up.
Any returns go back the same way. Great.
I no longer shop as places that want £3.99 postage and I have to pay for returning things that do not fit properly.
ISME have it right on the button. Great selection of goods too!
Apart from this review......
After deciding not to order through very.co.uk due to the call centre service, I decided to purchase my laptop through ISME (not knowing that it was the same organisation and call centre). The website advertised 10% off all new credit orders so this spurred me on to buy before Christmas. The discount did not come off so I phoned to enquire, I was told it did not apply to all items and it would be written down somewhere in some small print. A few days later I called to ask if I could change the delivery address to my sisters as I feared being at work at the time of delivery, I was advised that it would be easier to either cancel the order or just take the chance as they would try to deliver up to 3 times and then return it to the warehouse. I went along with he edvice, although I did not find it very helpful or re-assuring. Each week I received several updates of expected delivery dates but as each passed I became uncertain as to if the product would actually arrive. I checked the status online and it said 'processed' but not 'dipatched'. after a few weeks I called back and cancelled the order, there were no questions from the call centre or attempt to keep me as a customer so I have now cancelled my order and will look elsewher for my laptop. Isme, you just lost a new customer and a £500 sale. I will not be back.
Ordering couldn't be easier. Collect + is amazing as I live just along from my local shop. The order arrived in excellent time. I was also well informed on the progress of my parcel and when it arrived at the local shop.
The items are such good value for money, especially with the discount code I was given.
All in all a fabulous shopping company.
I had been looking for a good looking corner unit suitable for a bathroom for quite a while and by chance found just what I wanted at Isme
I did not want to open an account and although I was given the option there was no pressure and I paid in full and received the unit within 48 hours
I was so impressed with the unit, the service and the 'no pressure to open an account approach' I have since purchased another unit in the alternative colour
I have been using isme now for a while and I have been able to buy so many lovely things for my self family and friends, they also have a wide range of home wares too, so why not take a look for your self and treat your self for christmas
huge range of great products , regular amazing special offers with very competitive prices , interest free credit and delivered p&p free within 24h of ordering , to my local collect+ point to pick up at my convenience ? if that isn't first class , I don't know what is ..... I'd give it 10 stars if I could .
This is the last order I will ever place with ISME if they continue to use Yodel as their preferred delivery partner.
Despite leaving clear instructions on how to find this business address, including telephone contact number, the driver apparently could not locate it???
The address is a 150 year old cotton mill and probably the largest building for over 2sq miles. It is on a main road, with a large delivery yard and good-in entrance clearly marked. The building has approx 30+ deliveries per day from nearly all of the main courier partners and none ever have a problem.
Apart from Yodel, who use temp/casual labour with little/no experience of multi drop delivery or courier work.
Yodel no doubt give ISME a good price, because at the end of the day they offer an extremely poor level of service.
Brilliant business model there ISME, I'm sure you'll continue to loose customers like myself on a regular basis if you continue to employ these cowboys.
Also, ISME customer service was next to useless, expecting me to chase the courier firm? Hold on, for a min there I thought I'd paid for a service.....
Never again, closing my account!
When I first made an order with IsMe it went well and I loved how the website worked and how easy it was to pay in 3 payments.
Then I made a second order still going good but then it came to making my third purchase and that's where IsMe went wrong for me.
When going through checkout I was offered But Now Pay Later for 6 months so I chose it and well because of that my order was not accepted.
I emailed IsMe about this and I had to wait 5 days! Yes 5 days for an answer and all they could tell me was your order was not accepted because you are not eligible for Buy Now Pay Later. You shouldn't offer Buy Now Pay Later through the checkout if you know the customer is not eligible. Because of this horrible experience I won't be ordering anytime soon from IsMe.
I've had some gorgeous stuff for Christmas from Isme. I had a fab kitted and sequined short jacket that will never date, gorgeous evening tops. Can't think how I managed before I found them. So glad I did tho.
Saw something in a magazine from isme and had a look at the website. Loads of choice and reasonably priced, put in an order, came quickly and was delighted with quality and value for money. Easy to pay on line after setting up an account. Will use again and like the tv advertising too.
ISME is fantastic, easy to use, great deals and overall great service! One thing in particular i love is the buy now pay later, i love how you can pay how much you want each month and there isnt a set amount to pay. It is flexible and trustworthy.
I encountered a very small problem with my first online order(think it was something i actually did wrong myself!).
I emailed the isme customer service team who acted and rectified (my) mistake immediately, and actually apologised!
My first order was delivered within 2 days and my second order was delivered less than 24 hours after i placed the order!!!
I ordered an item early evening at it arrived the following day! wow!!!
Great service, 100% happy with isme.
I placed an order with Isme on the 16th October and my items were due to be delivered on the 4th 5th and 11th of November. I received a text message in the evening to tell me delivery wasn't going to be for another four weeks ( 4th 5th & 10th December) I contacted isme and the response was generic and unhelpful, i got the sorry for any inconvenience caused and it its not delivered by the 10th then they would look in to it.
I have received two further text messages telling me that there have been further delays on my items so now i have no idea when delivery is going to happen as they haven't told me the new proposed delivery date.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY - UNRELIABLE
UPDATE ON 4/12/13
phoned shop direct who look after isme and a few other companies as I questioned the BNPL (Buy now pay later) and was told that this started at the date of order even though they cant guarantee to deliver my item before xmas. The girl on the phone kept quoting terms and conditions at me and was extremely unhelpful, refused to escalate the problem and didn't care if i cancelled my order.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
I placed my first order on Sat 23 Nov, for a Sony 50 inch lcd tv. The delivery was arranged for Wed 27 Nov, so I booked the day off work. Today, 26 Nov at 1708 hrs, I receive an email from Isme, confirming my order. I used the link to track my order and discover delivery will now not take place until 4 Dec!!
I contacted Isme by phone and I am informed of a problem at the warehouse. The call handler could not explain why delivery had been delayed and all he could do was to pass my details on to the customer service team and advise that they will contact me tomorrow. Not good enough!!
I have been with Isme now for two years and have not experienced any problems at all the service is first rate the products are excellent I very rarely have to return items as the fit and quality is so great but when I do it is so easy to do so
So far, it doesn't bode well - and I've only got as far as placing my first order. I applied for an account which was one of their terms in order to use a discount code. After completing my details, including what I like for breakfast, the account was turned down because their system "couldn't recognise my address". My address has only been here for over 400 years - I can't change it. What more could I do? I had to pay in full there and then and there was no discount code of any sort for a new customer! Not happy. I wouldn't have ordered anything and just cancelled the transaction, but I'd spent best part of two hours browsing their website and choosing things as Christmas gifts. I really couldn't face searching the internet further.
Is it so hard to deliver to me? I live only 35 miles from central London. My house is on a country road, but hey we have a postcode and two signposts to the house. So why did only one out of three items make it to my door?
And when I tried to speak to somebody on the phone, it was clear that I was speaking to a man whose first language was not English. Since all three items were bras the conversation was awkward to say the least!
ISME, I won't try you again.
Company claims next day but ordered on 18th Nov and supposed to get item on 21st. Never arrived. You phone them and they tell you that it's your responsibility to contact the courier company! They use Yodel and apparently when status says "Loaded to van" it doesn't actually mean it is on vehicle! You then try and cancel order and they say it can't be cancelled due to status of order!
Stay clear of them if I were you. Great if everything runs smoothly I'm sure but nightmare if problems occur.
The website states 10% discount with the first order via a credit account. The small print states unless the item has already been reduced. This should be stated along side the 10% option on the web site.
The website allowed me to save the delivery cost by clicking and collect. The final invoice still charged the delivery cost because this facility is not permitted on high value electrical items (£129?). So this items should bar the click and colect.
So the final bill was £12.90 + £3.95 = £16.85 more expensive than anticipated - So the final price was similar to Amazon. I have lodged a complaint and await the reason for the misleading marketing.
I recently bought 2 sofa's from the ISME website. I say recently, but I actually ordered them in early September and was told they'd be delivered 6 weeks later. Not ideal, but at least they were honest about it from the start.
When I called closer to the delivery date to confirm it was still arriving on the date mentioned 6 weeks prior, ISME customer services had no info for me and told me to call the delivery company. This is where it got messy so I'll sum up in bullet points...
* Finally got a text telling me my delivery date (times were 'between 7am and 5pm) and was told I'd get a call 30 mins before delivery, so I booked a day off of work to be home for it.
* At 16:30 I get a text saying they tried to deliver and left a card. This was a flat out lie and I suspect as it was already late in the day, the driver coun't be bothered to do another drop off. I received no phonecall, and to leave a card, they'd have had to ring the flat buzzer to get into the block and then drop it through my door... of course there was no card.
* Called the delivery place and got fobbed off and told to rearrange the delivery... so I requested it be delivered on a Saturday this time.
* Again, I recieved no call 30 mins before delivery but knowing it was unlikely I would, I awoke at 7am on my Saturday and waited till the early afternoon for the delivery.
* When they did finally arrive I went down to find them as they couldn't find my flat. There they took ONE sofa off the truck. As soon as I mentioned there should be 2 the driver seemed to take an attitude with me and just kept saying"there's only one, call the company if that's wrong" (despite the fact that the packaging clearly said item 1 of 2 on it) in a tone that left no doubt he was a moody... moving on...
* Called up the company who said 'whoops' and said the other sofa would be with me on Tuesday and that I'd get a call 30 mins before they arrived.
* I reluctantly booked another day of annual leave from work. Got up at 7am and waited all day. Again... no phone call. Sofa finally arrived in the afternoon.
The items were fine and a good price, the service left me wanting to make someone suffer. I'll never use this company (or any of it's associated retailers) again and next time will pay the extra to get it else where... most places would have delivered the next day... not 7 weeks after paying for the item. It's just not worth the hassle and stress of having to deal with these people.
I sent an email to them complaining directly but that was weeks ago and as they didn't respond, I figured I'd share my experience with you and let you decide if it's worth the risk and headache.
