I heard about this website from a friend of mine, but I guess nobody else will hear about this website from me.
I ordered goods worth more than £35. The green vegetables delivered were half in good condition and half of them were spoiled. I guess they do this on purpose. For e.g. if you order 4 spinach (There is always a offer 4 for a pound), they will send 2 good quality and 2 bad spinach. Same was the case with Sappota (Chikku/Sapodilla).
Then there were papadams in almost crushed condition. OK. I understand papdams might have broken while mishandling during the delivery.
The height was, I ordered 'Krishna Spicy Gathia', my order date was 11/12/2013. I received the order on around 15/12/2013. The gathia ordered was dated best before 12/12/2013. I didn't open the pack as soon as I got it. I opened it in January when I needed it and found the taste was real bad. Then I checked the date. Terrible.
I wish I could give it 0 stars. Very much disappointed. If you can't provide the service you should not brag about good quality food and all on your website.
I ordered some frozen food and normal food from them. The frozen item got delivered thawed and squashed. Some of the items were missing from the order. Couple of items packaging were torn. The customer service is very poor and couldn't understand english well as the lady had difficulty understanding meaning of thawed, squashed food. Also, she was advicing to put the thawed item in freezer which shouldn't be the case. Once the frozen food thawed it need to get used immediately and can not be refreezed !!!! Horrible expereince, would never buy from them again.
Its a pity really - they seem to have a good website but their level of customer service is quite bad. I called them to enquire about a specific item and was requested to call back after they checked the stock. No one bothered taking down my number and saying - I'll give you a call as soon as I have checked the stock. It was almost they couldn't be bothered.
However, I still ordered a few things from them on the Thursday before Christmas (almost 1 week before). I was expecting for everything to arrive by Saturday (as the company advertises a next day delivery), but when nothing arrived, I called them on Monday. I was told that they were dispatching the items on Monday and that I would receive them after Christmas. I asked if everything was definitely in stock and the guy said - I dont know! So not sure how he promised me that the stuff was being dispatched that day.
Nothing came for the rest of the week. So I called them on Friday (more than a week after my order) and asked them to cancel the order and arrange a refund. Nothing happened. I called again and was asked for my order number twice in the same conversation, and received a call again asking for my order number for the third time. I was only given 25% refund! I called them again, totally baffled at their shoddy service only to be told that they thought I had received part of my delivery. How could they think that when they didn't even dispatch my order? After repeated requests, I was finally given a 100% refund.
It was a very harrowing experience dealing with this company and I most certainly will not recommend them to anyone again.
