Ok but can be problems

Ordered lots of things from them as I'm on the larger side, sometimes things on website areout of stock but never order them so don't know about length of time etc. only problem I've had is that ordered bed and it broke after a week still waiting for collection 2 weeks later and don't like calling the expensive phone number to chase up.

They claim I have to pay postage agianst DSRs rules.

I ordered a pair of shoes but had to return them because they were too tight, so I ordered a larger size but they were also too tight so I returned that pair also. When I ordered the shoes on both occasions Jacamo was advertising free returns so I had used the returns label in the box to post them back. On both occasions I made the return within the seven day period allowed. Jacamo billed me for the outward postage for the two deliveries for a total of £7.98. I emailed them pointing out that under the “Distance Selling Regulations” they were legally obliged to pay the outward postage. In reply they said that they thought it reasonable for me to relinquish my rights as a consumer and pay the postage for sending the parcels out. They acted from the way they worded there replies as though they didn’t fully understand the DSRs so I sent them various articles and even a copy of the relevant clause from the Government’s web site, but they still acted numb claiming “Me No Understand” sort of language as if they’d just stepped off the boat. Well I do understand and they haven’t a chance in hell of me paying a penny toward the postage and I’ve already complained to the “Citizens Advice Bureau” . Take note Last April there was a European court ruling stating that it was illegal for companies to try and charge consumers the postage for goods that were returned.

Strange charges

I was quite pleased with them at first until i started to notice strange charges my minimum payment was £6 a month then i started seeing a service charge for £3.22 a month on top of that. when i contacted them to ask about it they just told me it was in the terms and conditions and there was nothing i could do about it now when i look at their ToC i see a Credit Charge is applied but no service charge so im being charged £3.22 twice onces as a Service Charge and once as a Credit charge so over all my balance is going up not down. All my answer from them when questioned about it was simply put 'then i should pay more per month' very bad company wish i had never used them.

They are what they are

Felt complled to write. Jacamo are what they are, stuff is not great quality but is alright and lots of offers on.

Yes they will open a credit file for you at the drop of the hat but they dont trick you into it thet gave you the option to pay by credit card if you wish.

Yes they will put something on your credit file as "melgold t/as country garden" but if you are trying to build up your credit file this is very very damn handy !!!

Check the small print very very carefully!

I found random sizing across and even within ranges which means exchanges will be inevitable. Don't be fooled though. Returns are free (if you are lucky) but exchanges cost postage over and over again. Returns are via a local 'man in a car' and any delay caused by him will likely cost you a £3 penalty per item.

First order offers I found are not worth bothering with either. Unless you get all sizing right first time (which will be a miracle) you will be charged full price and extra postage for replacements.

On my first order I had to pay 25% extra due to small print and premium rate numbers.

If you use their credit in my opinion you will be literally skinned alive.

Pity because if they operated fairly they could be useful.

They are of course JD Williams. Just check other manifestations like Premier Man for same small print.

crappest company

apon using jacamo, i have been using jacamo a while but have only managed to place one order and nothing since. everytime i go use the live chat team they will always fob you off with speak to this department and that department, giving you an 0871 number to ring which is very exspensive to ring esp from a mobile.

AVOID WITH ALL MEASURES.

TERRIBLE COMPANY

Firstly I dont usually write bad reviews only good ones but I am so disapointed with Jacamo

I ordered a pair of slippers, expecting next day delivery as stated on the home page, only to find out after I had ordered it was only for certain items. So when they arrived I was on holiday. They were too small so I returned them to Jacamo when I got back. Jacamo refunded minus the postage and also charged a restocking fee. Also a few days later I found out Jacamo performed a credit check on me and opened an account. This was not clear in the order process and not required. I contacted Jacamo and after a few days, I got a fairly blunt cut and paste reply that didnt really answer my question or appologise or offer a solution.

EXPENSIVE VERY

I Have been using Jacamo for about 6 months now I really only went to them because I had bad credit and this w\as a company that would accept me. However I always pay my payments on time and their interest charges are phenomenol, However their delivery is quire good that is why I would give it 2 stars otherwise RIP OFF COMPANY

BRILLIANT

I have not got a bad word to say for them! standard of clothing is amazing same for the prices, people are complaining about the repayments, did you not read the T&C's? Get a life what do you expect when you are paying on the weekly!

Dont waste your time

Signed up to have a look around, they perform credit checks without stating that clearly despite the customer service team eventually after asking several times with them avoiding the question that you could decline the credit account and pay out right for items.

Trying to close your account took their 'live' chat nearly 20minutes to actually get to speak to someone who's name was 'no specified'.

Avoid this company, waste of time and ruin your credit history without your knowledge, poor customer service and most likely poor quality items.

Not even worth a J

I looked on line and after seeing them on the tv thought why not i ordered a few things and all of them did not come 2 things were scraped but the big thing was said as signed for god knows how many times i have sent the things they asked for and this has been going on since may 12 oh if anyone wants to know one of there call centres is in Manchester Victoria station just inside the MEN area its the JD Williams call centre even signed so you all know where it is if you have never been there and they have one in Griffin house aswell i know i have been to both of them good thing about being local

Complete Rubbish

I have been a customer for about 12 months now. However, I am becoming more and more fed up. Everytime I try and order something I like it is always out of stock. I have had a lot better experience from High & Mighty clothes are a bit more expensive but a least they are in stock.

Rubbish Service, Overpriced Goods

If you're thinking of using this company just check out the ratio of negative to positive reviews. That's all I'll say.

BAD BAD BAD

Took me nearly a month to get my order. Orderd on the 26th Oct tould it was out of stock would take 7/10 days to come in. then told would be on 16th Nov then told in on the 20th Nov then told I would get it up to 5 days after the 20th the 7 days after the 20th ? it came on the 21st Nov the driver did not ring the bell, he scrowed the shert up and pushed it through the letter box. Will I by from Jacamo again ? YES/NO! have your say

Never again

I purchased some shorts and jeans, when i went to pay for them a pop up box replaced the payment box to fill in for what turned out to be a discount club at£10 per month I found out later it was part of Jacoma, I cancelled my account on both and card might have been a scam .anyway clothes arrived ,shorts fitted jeans to tight ,followed there instructions to send them back,waited received no correspondence at all from them 1 month on I phoned them this ended up costing me £2.89 on a landline, there person on the phone so called checked and told me yes my jeans had been received by them in good order ,and my monies would be refunded to my card on the next pay day, 3months on still no money. phoned again hey no knowledge of jeans being received and they would send out a claims form , I received 3 all in separate envelops claims form wont even fit the envelope what a joke, good job i kept all documents and return postage slip, lets see them get out of this one even though its cost me near to £6.00 to get my £18,00 back never again Ill not use them I think the firm is run from India with offices in the UK, maybe they think we are all idiots

Ordered clothing for my other half via my fashion world acct - he loved them

Quick easy ordering and delivery. Very pleased I can just add thinks onto my fashion world account through Jacamo.

illegal charges, and charge £14 a letter when you fall behind on payments

Been with company for a couple of years never missed a payment had trouble paying but did pay as much as i could afford, jacamo was not happy with this although i told them i has no money but they still continued to charge me late payments. my original debt was £900 now its £1700 other there charges. we set a payment plan up for £50 a month but they charged £45 interest. they will not help anyone that runs into trouble.

Add illegal credit charges, poor customer service

I've been using Jacamo for about 3 years, in the beginning they were OK, fast delivery and because I could pay it off in 1 or 2 payments I didn't get credit charges, suddenly there was a credit charge which I asked about and found out that the rate of interest was ridiculous, I later tried to purchase an item, they claimed it was sent, although my account still said it was processing, I ended up cancelling it, as it never arrived. My next statement I was charged double the credit charge even though I had paid off about half the amount, so queried this and found they had put a credit charge on the item I didn't receive, so they're charging me for credit I never used, as they supposedly reversed the transaction, Unless you want larger clothes and can pay straight out or within a couple of payments, I would avoid them altogether.

Misleading Poor service

Very poor customer service most electronic products do not carry their model numbers. Nxt delivery never happens but your charged for it. Also want let you proceed checkout easily asking you sign up for discount scheme where you credit card will charged £10 per month even you knowing it. Please keep away.
