We went to the JD SPORTS OXFORD STREET store to buy track pants today.
The women's section was at the lower ground floor, we selected 2 track pants and wanted to try them before buying them. Asked a member of staff (Was a supervisor or a Manager and not a floor staff) about Trail Rooms and he said they were on the ground floor. He did not even mention the 2 trail rooms on the same floor which we could have used and which he had locked and kept the keys with himself. We asked him if we could use these trial rooms and he said they were busy and we would have to wait. We checked and found out that one of the rooms had the store's new clothes on hangers hung on the door handle and the other one was locked. I ignored his lie and walked to the ground floor to try the track pants. Now we could not see the trial room on the ground floor and asked a young lady (Member of the floor staff working at the shoes section) about trial rooms on the ground floor and she says " how am I supposed to know about trial rooms I work at the shoes section". The least she could have done was to find out where a trial room was in her place of work and provide us with some very basic level of customer service. But no she was not interested and said you could go and look for one.
Eventually we were so put off with this bad customer service that we decided to just walk out and go to some other store and shop. Before leaving I went to the Lower Basement and returned the selected track pants back to the same staff (Manager or Supervisor not a floor staff) and told him we were not interested and were leaving. He then opened the trial room which was locked and offered us to use it. I refused any further service and walked away to leave and could hear him passing comments in the background which I again ignored. Lastly I thought I must speak to the store manager before leaving and inform him of the bad experience we have had. He was apologetic but there was little that he could do now than to apologise. I hope that the management does something about improving the Attitude (Willingness to serve), Product Knowledge and Customer contact skills of their staff. I really hope that their staff understand that their primary job is that of customer service which unfortunately was nonexistent. I will never return to JD SPORTS again.
I went to our new local J.D sports shop in newport Gwent on Tuesday 14 May and showed them on my ipad which trainers my son wanted for his birthday, he had a look and said "they were not in store in his size, I can order them into store if you like, they will be here on Thursday" in which I agreed, so I paid the £65.00 for trainers in which he asked my name and phone number which I gave, he said keep your receipt and you will have a text when the item is in store, I said THANKYOU then left the store, on Thursday 16 May I had a text saying my item was in store and ready to be collected. I went to the shop and gave my receipt and they asked for I.D to collect my item, I explained that I didn't have any idea why they would want I.D as I had the receipt, they said they couldn't give me the item unless I had photo I.D, I explained everything was in my husbands name and also showed him the text I had received saying my item was in store but they said NO we need some I?D or we are unable to give you your item, I then spoke to the manager who said the same, I said that it was wrong as no other shop have I used the same service have asked for I.D and that Iwasnot explained this when they were taking my order and my money, they said you have to have I.D, I said it was there fault as I was not told any of this when I payed for the item or asked for I.D when giving my name??? They refused to give me the item and said "unless you have I.D we cannot give you the trainers!" So I went home and could only find my I.D with my name on before I got married, so I also got my husbands I.D to say My last name was the same in which I felt they were so adamant I had to have something with my marriage name on, so I asked my husband to come with me, who is a door man,before we even reached the manager he took 1 look at us and said to a member of staff to go and get the trainers then looked at my I.D and did ask why it was not reeves in which I explained we were married and it was all the I.D I had, if they had wrote the name wrong on computer they would not have given me my trainers, or if you don't have I.D they will not give you the items you have paid for! This I.D is rediculous and any other store only asks for your receipt, I am writing to other people about this matter and will NOT BE SHOPPING THERE AGAIN!
I Paid for my shoe, then they told me the is out of stock. And i have not recieved my money yet and it's 22 days ago
I ordered a set of Nike Shoes on the 2nd of April. I live in the Netherlands, they charged me 7.50 Euros for international delivery. After 10 days no delivery I inquired what the status was and if there was a tracking number for the delivery. Then they told me they don't use a tracking number (since it is the cheapest delivery option). Now it is the 19th of April and still no sign of the delivery. I have send numerous emails to ask about the order and get a standard reply that it is due to arrive within four days. Only untill I have started to complain at Twitter they have started to reply. Now they send some kind of legal document (which takes another 10 days to arrive), where I can file the non delivery. Wow, I have never got this kind of service.
all staff involved in the business of jd sports are just as qualified as one another. customer services promise to get back to you with in 48 hours after acknowledging your complaints which you can gather from why there included in this review they don't get back to you. this is after receiving an email stating they will but after calling them to get back some sort of response they act oblivious to you making a complaint. staff in store are extremely unhelpful and would rather ignore you than have you make a purchase. was told to go shop in footlocker by a member of staff which sums up my whole jd experience.

I ordered a pair of shoes from the Netharlands on the 25th the package was sent on the 26th and I receieved the package today. I sent them a few e-mails about the were abouts of my package and they always sent me a good answer within a few hours.
So overall good service and fast delivery!!!
I will not be in a hurry to use JD online again. I had to return the top I bought as it was unsuitable - they have a very limited window in which to get a refund, you lose your original P&P and the returns address is not a freepost so you end up paying double for postage on a return.
Also, please do NOT use paypal if you want a refund - paypal users are excluded from getting a refund or exchange at a local JD store.
It's quite quite poor.

I just want everyone to know how disgusting JD sports are treating customers!!! We have 2 pair of trainers that were bought as I present for Jonah at Xmas. They are too small. We have tired to exchange today with boxes and receipt to find we only had till the 6th!!!! No one is prepared to offer an exchange...customer services didn't want to know. All they say is its our policy. Mmmm maybe but we are not abusing the returns policy. We want a bigger size!!! No money lost to JD sports. Only us who

Ordered a Xmas present for grandson. With their free next day guaranteed delivery. Waited in all day for delivery, phone call from courier asking directions and still didn't arriveTracking number didnt work.Phoned customer services and complained, what a waste of time. First off you have to pay £1.50 a time to get the number. The number is said so fast needed to call 3 times. then given a pizza delivery place. Finally after searching internet found correct number. Staff unhelpful even though gave them the couriers name and number.Wanted to speak to a manager and were told we would receive a call back sometime in the next 48 hours. That is totally unacceptable. Would never buy from them again. I suggest no one else trust this firm.They have taken our money and now they have procedures we have to follow.In order to get back what we have already paid. My parcel from Jd sports is late by 5 days ordered on the 16th to be guarateed delivery by 21st December, it's now Xmas eve and no sign of parcel, , I called and called the customer service teams, and have been fobbed off by about 10 different advisors, from my item being dispatched, I was promised it would arrive I waited 4 hours outside my office for it, I waited all day for a manager to call me, I've numerous emails been sent with no response, and now they say there is no trace on my parcel since 19th dec. they keep,advising there is nothing they can do until hermes courier advises them where my parcel is which is disgusting,. 4 days and no word from courier. I'm out of pocket and will have a very dissapointed child tomorrow on Xmas day... Never ever use Jd sports... Disgusting service and attitude....

Ordered from JD and waited five days, still no parcel! Tracked it online and said was out on delivery, this was three days ago. Rang the so called customer service team and was constantly fobbed of with excuses. Rang again and again excuses:

i ordered 85 pounds worth of shoes on the 4th December from jd it shows dispatched on the 5th Dec waited for delivery daily but no sign on the 7th rang costumer services they said they would ring and email couriers and would ring me back. 8th rang again got same response and again daily till today and got told had to fill out disclaimer form as my parcels had gone missing from couriers they carnt refund or exchange until they get my form back. i have 2 very dissapointed girls not a very good experience.
I ordered £50 worth of goods on 6th December for a child's christmas gift, and something for my brother. Items shown as dispatched on 10th December, still not received items. Have been lied to several times from the customer service, once being told it was out for delivery on 12th December, then on 13th told it hasn't reached my courier yet, and to allow 24-48 hours for delivery. Then today 14th December I have been told that they will send me a missing parcel declaration for me to sign before resending me my items or giving a refund, needless to say this would not be sorted before christmas!! I will have a very upset 5 year old child on christmas morning without trainers, as I now cannot afford to pay out another £50. JD Sports management & customer services staff do not care, as they have my money!!! Avoid at all costs, I will never shop here again.

I spent over £100 which qualified me for free next day delivery, so from the basket screen it goes to login,register or PayPal express, i choose the Paypal option which took me to their site so i could pay, I then completed the transaction. no delivery options was offered so I assumed it was next day as stated.when goods did not arrive I emailed customer services who replied saying basically that i had choosen standard delivery so we dont want to know. I then went back on the site and re-orderded through the same process with PayPal express, again no delivery option screen, so I emailed them back stating if you pay by this method it does not give you a delivery option screen and also the link on the homepage about the free delivery upgrade does not work. I was then emailed back with an almost identical email ignoring all my points raised basically saying we don't want to know.
I will never use this company again.
I ordered a t-shirt and a pair of shorts a couple of weeks ago and the money withdrawn from my bankaccount. I then waited for about a month or so even though the delivery wasn't supposed to take more than a couple days. After waiting waaaaay to long i contacted customer service. Nothing. I contacted them again, no answer. This went on about 4 or 5 times until they finally answered that what i had ordered was out of stock even though it was still available on their site. They then finally agreed to return my (i think it was about 25 pounds), i then had to wait another three weeks until the money was back in my account. IT'S A REAL STUPID COMPANY.
I bought a pair of Nike Free Run 5 from the Leeds White Rose Store, and ordered them through the kiosk as they weren't stocked in the store. After one wear the mesh in the trainers developed a hole, which I didn't think was acceptable for a Nike product. I returned them to the store, and was met with lazy, untrained and uneducated staff who tried to fob me off, and also stood idly by whilst another customer abused me (for no reason other than he thought it was funny to intimidate me in front of his friends) right in the middle of the shop! after suffering abuse and humiliation by what i can only describe as a neanderthol Chav whilst the staff stood and watched, I agreed to have an inspection on the trainers, if only to get out of the shop. JD customer services, also fobbed me off and told me that the damage was accidental, and nothing to do with them. I also complained about their staff and the abuse in the shop, to be told 'we will take action we think may be necessary...' In other words, do nothing then. I sent the trainers for an independent inspection to Nike, who replaced them immediately with a brand new pair. JD is without doubt the worst shop I have ever been into, the staff are rude and unhelpful, the so called customer service aren't any better, its a wonder this company survives with such low level amoebas working for it, as the complete ineptitiude seems to run right up the chain of employment. Appalling.

bought a pair of black, sized 9, men's lacoste ampthill trainers. purchased online wednesday afternoon via paypal. was ready for instore collection on friday afternoon. very fast delivery, customer service at store was surprisingly good as i was told i could jump the long queue because my order was an online collection order. was sent away by a smiling JD employee (i know what a shock!). trainers in the end hurt my heel for a couple days but i think that's normal, isn't it? pleased with purchased and shockingly fast delivery. will shop again...
I have ordered football shirts online from them on several occasions and invariably there is always a problem, usually, and this has now happened on 3 occasions, they leave one of the security tags on the shirt which means i have to make a specific journey to my nearest store 10 miles away to have it removed. Very poor and unacceptable.
Go into store and you are faced with lazy children. So i decided to place order on line. Website crashes 3 times at checkout when paying by credit card so I pay by paypal.
Then I get the payment refunded so I call customer services, took over 1 hour to get through then when I do I find myself speaking to someone else who did not have a clue.
They then tell me that they cancelled the order as I spent to much and the parcel might go missing! They advise me to place order again by splitting into smaller orders but refuse to tell me what size order is ok.
I offer to pay by credit card for order and they can put through order as they want and I am told they cannot do that because of data protection!.
They do not have clue and I have just spent my £600 order with JJB. Customer service and knowledge is pathetic. Stay away they have loads of competitors you can use
This company behaves in a criminal manner. They send out damaged items and items that are not the same as in the website description. Customer support is non existant and they will never ever apologise or follow up on things they did wrong.
They censor reviews left by customers and you will not be able to get a review posted on their website that is in the least critical even if you only describe what has happened in a polite way.
I have ordered 3 items so far and the first was damaged and the second was damaged and not as described and the third was ok.
Had read bad reviews about JD Sports but no problems with ordering and delivery. And prices + delivery cost very low.
Ordered a pair of shoes on sunday. Confirmation and despatch mails received on Monday and shoes arrived on Friday.
So a very good experience and will buy there again.
Goods take ages to arrive, when they do, they are battered and appear second hand, the company cannot care less, and will only publish reviews that are positive???? hardly 'sporting' of them.
I will NEVER EVER buy from this horrendous company again.
Surely they will be going bust soon based on the VERY NEGATIVE reviews about them on the web.

I ordered stuff for around 55 British pound at 24. december.. They told me i would receive my stuff within 5 days.. I received after 10 days, and the cap that i ordered was dirty with soil..
Absolutely appalling service......on buying a present for my husbands birthday, I missed the delivery and he item was given to a derilect house on my road...JD customer service are appalling, never get back to you and all say different things......I will never shop online at JD again.......

JD sports er et rigtig godt sted at handle tøj og sko, specielt mens pund'en er nede på de 8.5. Købte to par sko og en polo, modtog varene 4-5 dage efter og det var bare lige i skabet. Det kan klart bedre betale sig at handle tøj fra England frem for at give skyhøje procenter til butikkerne herhjemme. Kan varmt anbefale JD sports. Eneste minus er hvis man ikke er sikker på hvad skostr. man bruger tager det lidt tid at sende retur, men det var ikke et problem i mit tilfælde.
Visited this site via a link on Google re: Converse hi-top trainers. Clicked most links and nothing happened. Not only was I prohibited from locating certain products on the site, there was no way I could make a purchase bceause of the shoddiness of their website. Sale items were still listed Dec '08 ? How inconvenient and misleading, just what I wanted!! Will not be visiting them again no matter how cheap the trainers tend to be now.
